DZComposer
The people at AL already know about this but I don't think I have posted about this here yet. Also, most of this post is regurgitated form AL so I something confuses you, please ask. Please note that at this time I do not expect this to ever be performed on-stage. I would like to do a Flash rendition of it, but I am not holding my breath in terms of finding a good flash artist willing to work for free/cheap. People needed: 1. Someone(s) to help with story and scriptwriting 2. Artist(s) for logos and poster art 3. Someone to help with Lyrics (I struggle with that) 4. Flash Animator (Maybe. Would be a way to "perform" the show visually) 5. Web Designer/coder (don't worry about hosting, it will be part of CHS) 6. Anything you think you can help with If you want to help, pleas e-mail me. If your e-mail name is different than your name here, please include your SFO name in the subject so I know who you are. This is having to break from the canon storyline a bit to make it more feaseable for a musical, but I won't throw any major inconsistancies in there. Basically, this would be as if it was written before SFAs came out (No aparoids and such). This story does give details of a romance between Fox and Krystal. http://www.classicalhorn.com/sfmusicaloutline.pdf <-- basic idea of act 1 (includes tentative cast). None of this is final. http://www.classicalhorn.com/betamusic/projectstuff/prologuefull001.mp3 <- Prologe sample MP3. This isn't final either. Orchestra Instumentation (all or part will be used on all musical songs, could change): 1 flute 1 oboe 1 clarinet 2 horns 2 trumpets 1 trombone 4 violins 1 cello 1 contrabass 1 piano 1 Rhodes Electic Piano 1 Guitar (clean/distortion) 1 electric bass (clean/distorion) drums concert snare drum marimba glockenspiel I am starting on the outline for Act 2. I have also been sketching some things musically. Also, I will likely by ordering the Garritan Jazz and Big Band Library this week. This will give me some more fitting Brass sounds and I may also add some sax to the orchestra.
ArwingMaster
That sounds cool. This is a rough idea of possible "artwork" for it (I suck at drawing but good at creating stuff), if you dont like it no prob.
DZComposer
Thogh your photoshop splicing isn't bad and your help is appriciated, I am looking for something a little more original.

ArwingMaster
^^ definately. I'll see if I can't whip out something. All I have to work with is paint so I'll probally see if I cant do anything decent hand-drawn.

Mr. Krystal
I made the site DZComposer! Download it here: http://dwightdesign.com/temp/StarFoxMusicalSite.zip All files and links included. If you don't like it or want some changes, let me know. I was really working from scratch after all. But it won't hurt my feelings if you want something completely different. DZComposer
Oh, Nice! I like it! And it's standards-compliant too! There are some things text-wise that I'd like to change, but I'll do it to save you the work. Site is now live here: http://www.classicalhorn.com/sfmusical/
Mr. Krystal
Glad you like it. You're right! I forgot the copyright info. I was going to put it up, but it slipped my mind. If you want me to do some graphics or something image editing related, let me know what you want.
Guest Grimloq
...Please don't eat me for the off-topic, but DZComposer... Same from the FS2 Starfox project?
DZComposer
Yup, Same DZ. This won't effect my work on Shadows of Lylat at all so no need to worry. I can multitask, and Flamewave is also scoring for Shadows with me. Plus, since I commited to Shadows first, it will be the priority if I need to devote more time to it. Though I've been wanting to do this since before I had even heard of Shadows. I've just recently come into the possession of sounds to do this. I won't be pumping mushc musical effort into this project until the story is more finalized.
Mr. Krystal
Confused! What are these two or more other projects you are talking about DZComposer?

ArwingMaster
sweet site guys. No promises on when I'll be done, but I'm currently drawing another art thing (logo poster, you guys deside). Hopefully its better than the last one...
DZComposer
How about some Star Wolf Theme? http://www.classicalhorn.com/sfmusical/music/swolfbattle001.mp3
Guest Grimloq
...I like! Now... PleasepleasePLEASE don't take this the wrong way... And I don't mean to sound concieted or anything... but I think I /might/ be able to make something like that... but more orchestral, less synth...? Want me to give it a shot? Reason 3.0 has some very high quality and very powerful patches... Please don't take it like I don't like this, I do, but I dunno... I've been playing with SF stuff in Reason a bit... Mr. Krystal
The Sax is a nice touch. It even sounds like the theme is being played in a theater.
ArwingMaster
Pretty good. It's really close to the ost but with the perfect amount of change to call it a different version. Nice
Guest Grimloq
Scratch that, can't do jack without a MIDI sequence. <edit> That was a hint. </edit>
DZComposer
The JABB brass sounds a little more synthy than the GPO brass, but I think it fits the musical style better. Actually, this particular piece is a re-incarnation of Star Wolf: Presto con Fuoco 1. I changed the instrumentation and added some stuff and used higher-quality samples. I don't mind if you want to do an arrangement of the Star Wolf theme. (why would I? I've done it several times ) I don't, however, have anything that Reason could open, though I think I saw a MIDI of it on vgmusic.com. I kept this close to the OST for a good reason: recognizability. This song will suddenly pop out of nowhere as Star Fox is ambushed. I didn't base it off of Presto con Fuoco 3 because I did some rhythmic changes in that one. There will be plenty of original music in this musical as well as some other recognizable
Guest Grimloq
 Power is infinite if I get my dirty little hands on a MIDI sequence. And hmm... Okay. Personally, I'm a fan of that feeling you run into occasionally: Playing a game or watching a movie, music comes on.. after a few minutes, you suddenly realise you know that song and it's just in different instruments. ^^;
DZComposer
There will be moments like that. Just not here. I want this to be instantly known.
Guest Grimloq
Hmm... *Plays with the MIDI sequence in Reason...* <edit> ...Eh... It sucks, all it is is different instruments in mostly the same MIDI sequence, but it's relatively nice: Right Clicky, Save-As </edit> <edit2> Link is dead, needed to take it down from webspace. </edit>
DZComposer
Okay, I've pretty much finished the Star Wolf music. I've hit a bit of Writer's Block on Act 2's outline, I'm afraid. I may have to rewrite part of it. http://www.classicalhorn.com/sfmusical/music/swolfbattle002.mp3 I've made a few changes and it has an ending now.
