Fira-Astrali
Title is self-explanatory, but lets try to not be too crude. They don't have to be from someone famous, the first ones are words of wisdom from my beau (they may not be exact but close enough). Whatever jumble of words are important to you. If there is a line from a song that you think is important to you, that works too. Okay, so some of my favourites are: "You have to have a life too, you know?" "There is another day tomorrow" When you're telling people the truth, make 'em laugh. Otherwise, they'll kill you. Dont argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to your intelligence and beat you with experience You can bitch because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present Shoot for the moon! Even if you miss, you'll never see Earth again! shenanigans: i love it so much It tastes good while your saying it, and it's one of those ones that sounds like the thing it's desribing, if you know what i mean? there's some examples, now how's about you? :D

Vy'drach
For words of wisdom, I like:"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"and, sadly from the anime Blood+, "Live for today but look forward to tomorrow."As for a favourite saying, I have to go with this little gem by H.P. Lovecraft, posted yet again by me.The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age. For example, Im going into grade 12 this year. Now, I'm taking a victory lap, but if i wasnt, this would be my last year of public schooling, after 12 years. That's certainly a journey of 1000 miles Aw, what's wrong with Blood+? I liked that series alot.Wow, thats a pretty cynical outlook on the ineptness of our minds. You dont think there is a single person who could handle that revelation?

My saying is to destroy the state of "enemy" with them by making them your friend first. and if they refuse then you can destroy them the more traditional wayWow, thats a pretty cynical outlook on the ineptness of our minds. Vy'drach
Wow, thats a pretty cynical outlook on the ineptness of our minds. You dont think there is a single person who could handle that revelation? It's more about humanity as a whole not being able to take the knowledge. Maybe here and there someone can handle it, but as a whole, humanity will crumble under the weight of such knowledge. And remember, this is more about how to entire universe works and how everything fits together.Lovecraft was well known to be a cynical dickhead. Writes great horror, but the dude had about as negative of a look on life as humanly possible.Wouldn't necessarily call him a dickhead myself, I believe he has every reason to be cynical. Humanity and people aren't necessarily very tolerant of things they don't know or understand, and are frightened of it.I love it when people say he was racist. I am a bit like him, hates everyone. He even hated white people (especially from the American South, though I won't hold that against him). He also married a Jewish woman, even though he was supposedly "anti-semetic." Granted his way of talking of other races and religions is a little offensive, by today's standards, but I believe is status quo ante.

Asper Sarnoff
One that have helped me a lot over the years, and probably have got me in a lot of trouble as well, the classic: Whatever doesn't kill me, only makes me stronger. One I came up myself, and which I think could deserve to be among the famous laws of Murphy: Nothing is truly foolproof, because no-one is as creative and resourceful as fools when it comes to making a mess of things. And one of my favorites, by the very creator of the topic. (Hope you don't mind.^^) MUHAHAHA!!! That's because I'm an evil genus!*Long break.*...Who obviously don't know how to spell 'genius'...I'll come with more as they present themself.
