Hallowe'en costumes?

So! It's nearing that time of year again… Hallowe'en! I love it! I love dressing up and going to parties and eating candy all night. :3

Are you guys dressing up for it? I know I am! Two years ago I was Saria… And I actually didn't take any pictures of it, which is something I regret. Some people took pictures of me just because they were Zelda fans, and I met a Link that night as well and we hung out for ages. I'll tell you something though… Everyone who saw me sang Saria's Song. I was on the brink of madness by the end of the night. All I heard was "Do-do-do, do-do-do, do-do-do-do-do, do-do-do-do-do!" I mean, I love that song as much as the next Zelda fan, but it was ALL THE DAMN TIME.

I thought about doing that costume again some time, I still have the elf ears, which cost me a fortune and look pretty realistic, I sprayed my hair green… And I could make another fairy, it's no big deal. Basically, I got some tinsel from Christmas, and I rolled it into a ball. Then I stuck some decorative fabric leaves into the shape of wings and I attatched them accordingly. I stuck the whole thing onto a wire and had it pinned to my shoulder.

I met a lovely Captain Olimar that night, and he was sitting in the lobby looking pretty miserable. I approached him just to tell him his costume was awesome, as he even had a little red light on it and everything! But he was sad because some bitch had ripped the light off and there was a huge hole in the back of his suit. I told him I would fix it if he had the needle and thread, and he was like "OMG! I live near here, I'll brb!". And indeed, he came back ten minutes later with a sewing kit. I fixed him up and he bought me a drink in thanks. All I got for the rest of the night was "You're the nicest Saria cosplayer I've ever met". It was cute. :3

And the year after that, last year, I was just a generic pixie. I wanted to re-use my elf ears so I bought costume that had a green dress, wings, and a belt made of flowers and just wore that. I met some awesome cosplayers that night, I met Ichigo from Bleach, L from Death Note, Reno from Final Fantasy 7, Captain Falcon (the pink one), Mario, and a packet of Crayola crayons. Basically, some girls in dresses that said "CRAYOLA" on them and pointed hats in a matching colour. The yellow one was actually my old flatmate from my first year in Dundee.

So anyway, enough about that, this year I'm wanting to go as Lulu from Final Fantasy 10. I've ordered her hair pins, which cost me $30, argh… The costume will cost me about $80 so… Yeah, it better damn well fit.

I quit halloween But who knows...I may just hang around the streets and downtown. O I must just hang out at Pete's and jam out for the night (He was this HUGE shop full of guitars) I went as Jason Vorhees one day and hid under a bush and grabbed people when they passed up to get candy. One kid nearly hit me cause he got scared. Come on? was I that scary? T~T

I love Halloween.

My favorite stuff is the festivities, parties...maybe even a few pranks...I only wear a Halloween costume to a Halloween party nowadays.

:D I love Halloween! I usually don't have to go to school that day, because it aligns it's self with the weekend, or a Friday holiday, or something, but I enjoy watching a 14hour thriller/horror marathon of scary movies! :)

I love dressing up as characters people recognise. When I was Saria, people were like "OMG ZELDA!" Which was of course, n00bish on their part but if they talked to me, I corrected them. Remember the time people used to call Link "Zelda" because they got confused with the title of the game? Yeah, it was like that only stupider.

I'm going to boot camp the 24th, and it lasts eight weeks, ~2 months. I dunno if I'll be able to make halloween.

Speaking of trick-or-treating, I wonder if any kids will come past this year. I've moved house to a quieter, more residential place and I should probably get some sweets for the kids, then I'll be heading out at 10pm I think. In my last place, I was up 3 flights of stairs in a crappy place owned by a dodgey landlord... So we got no visitors there. :P

I believe this was the Halloween of '05, and I was dressed up as a Yautja, and went with a few of my friends trick-or-treating. Even had an actor's bodyguard (guy from The Greatest Game or something, the golf movie) tell me it was the best Predator costume he has seen.

And, because the original image isn't on my computer, I have to use this one. The image is one my woodshop teacher took on Halloween of '08 I believe, to put on his wall of, "Awesome shit made in Woodshop." Since I finished the sword (Corrupted Ashbringer) near Halloween, decided to dress up as a Death Knight.

The only costume I've put any kind of effort into was my Chesire Cat that i was last year. I got a purple striped sweater as a fluke, and my whole class told me that i HAD  to dress up as him XD

This year, i think im going to dress up as a Tim Horton's employee XD or maybe a witch, i unno

the funny thing was, i didnt even buy it, i found it in my art class, and the teacher said that i could have it if no on else claimed it. since i was in another school after the claiming period was over, it took a chance encounter and three random ppl to get it to me :D

I intend to give halloween another try for the fist time in years.  For a costume i will have to 1. Grow a beard, short one 2. Buy a green Link cap and 3. Put on my dirty old green jacket. The end result, homeless looking mexican Link. I think it is a perfect choice, I have an Ocarina in which I can play many songs, Im mexican, and my long hair gives me that messy dirty look. I do not know if I should get some elf ears or not, haven't check the price of a pair yet.
