Alright, you all want in-depth criticism? I'll be back in a few days then with a nice wall of text for you.

Ok, i will be welcoming it with open arms. Just remember don't be a jerk about it. Make it actual criticism. That is what i am looking for :)

Not rants, or needless comments on why I shouldn't do it because, to be frank I am going to do it whether you like it or not, because really I dont care about why you don't want me to do it. I care about feedback, to help make this better.

That more than helped!! This was exactly what i needed this is the Criticism I'm looking for, not Negative Nancy.....

I redid the name patch to have the Starfox Team Logo, I am working on the idea that you have given me Asper, and lets just say, Im gonna do it, but the render of the Arwing that I want to use, photo-shop is being a ****** and not letting me work on it that well, the magic wand tool, that aids in the making of silloutes is not working......

So its gonna be a while :

Name Patch:

Wow, this is quite a thread! Great job so far on the patches and other designs, it's looking fantastic! And the gold thread effect looks amazing as well, much better than the render of the Arwing. Good job! I look forward to the finished product.

Looks really good FoxMcCloud. Just what I suggested. Might consider putting in the "edge" running down the front of the G-diffusers, giving more deepth to the image, it that won't make it look to crowded that is.

You were aiming for Constructive Criticism? I am sorry, but that was not constructive whatsoever.

Yeah, it was like Roger Ebert trying to give a speech on freedom of expression. :P

Thanks for the offer, but if I'm ever going to do a Starfox cosplay, it's not going to have the SF team logo on it.Cool-2.gif

Tell me about it...... :)

Now, I know you said that as in "Oh yeah, it's no easy task" but I'm going to tell you about my cosplay anyway! :P It's Lulu's costume from Final Fantasy 10, I can dye my hair to get it the right colour but I'm stuck on one thing. FoxMcCloud, you may be able to help since you're so creative. How can I make her hair bun, you know that bit where the braids come from, and make it to stick to the top of my head? I just have no idea, and I don't want to wear a wig... Other than that, I have ordered her hair pins, and I'm ordering her actual dress when I have money. Then I'll have to add things to it, because the dress I'm ordering is very basic.

Maybe I should do a Starwolf one for you :D

Ok,  with me being a guy, the hair thing is sortof a toughie for me.....

Uhh lets see.

Your best-bet is to get someone who can do your hair since you do not have eyes on the back of your head :P

Anyways.  In the middle where the braids begin and the side bang ends? Reference below

ffx_2-8b.jpg

Then take the ends of the braids and swirl it all into a bun. Now the hard part is the Hair pins. These are what you need to use to keep the hair where it is. What may also help is getting black chop-sticks or something to put From the top down into the bun, giving it stability. Heck you could also try black rubber bands.

What is also an easy way is to maybe uh, ask a hair-stylist how you could achieve it, rather then asking them to do it for an expensive price.

To create the longer-ones in the back, you may also want to use extensions. Those were the tips i found most online...

I hope it helps, and are you going to a con or something with the cosplay?

Hehe. Again, the offer is appreciated. But the whole point for me would be to make as much of it as possible myself.

Alrighty. I have the vest, but I need to get it painted, I am working on the Shoulder Armor now. My Idea is to do Cardboard since it is easier to shape and can be removed easily and quickly. I also have the Kneepads which just have to get painted also.

And For the backpack in the back, I am using cardboard again :D

Mostly all of the cardboard will be attached using velcro.

Hope to get photos up soon, and If ya'll have any ideas let me know!

Guest Julius Quasar

meh, I personally wouldn't use cardboard.  Get a real backpack from Big 5, and some football shoulder pads and use craft paint for the pads...that's how I'd do it, but w/e.  To each his/her own. ;)
