Sylum
So my mom caught sight of my arm earlier today. Needless to say, my morning started off great. I got the whole you're a terrible person, you're on drugs, i'm disappointed in you. She even said the fact i have a beard and wear a chain means i'm on drugs. Ahhhh i love close minded people.Bleh. Anyone else have trouble like this?
Guest FoXXX
That's your typical stereotyping person...
Scott7
Haven't, but I see it constantly around the house. Usually pointed in direction of my younger brother and sister, Because unlike them I have no interest in being social with the people that live in this area... Eagle Kammback
Yeah, I run into stereotyping, but I don't let it bother meLife is too short to focus on the negative things in life, focus on what makes you happy when you get down
Kid_Cortet
From time to time with people who do not take the time to get to know who I really am. They think i am all cute and innocent......oh you poor mislead people j/k (somewhat lol)but yeah, all the time growing up, some people think i should know everything about shoes and makeup, have the walk, and the hand gestures...for obvious reason but i dont, im stealthy xD

Anyone else have trouble like this?Honey, don't even get me started. I had MAJOR relationship issues with my dad. Put it this way, he's very, very old fashioned, and I'm... well, I have 11 piercings and 3 tattooes. Please note, most of my piercings are in my ears. I have 10 in my ears (4 in each lobe and a scaffolding bar in the top of my right ear, which is actually 2 piercings), and I have my lip pierced. This, according to him, made me the female anti-christ. Not the exact words he used but he treated in such a way that I thought I had done something horribly, horribly wrong to him.Alas, the fourm is not a place for me to tell you my daft sob stories. Sylum, if you need to talk about this, I'll gladly chat via PM. I can relate in so many ways. :)

Speaking of parents, I remember seeing the first picture of my dad when he was in his 20's with really long hair...completely unheard of for me.Ā That has happened with me many times, except my mom's reason was because I looked homosexual with it. : /. Sounds like hes diabetic or something. Fun fact, prostitutes use their toes for this reason. Also breads block all drugs. ...that's a fib of course. I was totally going to say that. And Milkshake, I think it's because his mother may affiliate tattoos with rough people/drug users. Vy'drach
I love my long hair. Just give it a quick run through with my fingers and BAM, done for the day. Was also great for hiding my headphones when I wasn't allowed to listen to music in class. Didn't interfere with my schooling, actually aided it. Redeemer
Haha, even though I'm a girl, I think most of you guys have longer hair than me. Not that it's a bad thing, just saying, it goes against the standard figure of "boy" and "girl" I used to follow when I was like, 5. :P
Fira-Astrali
Hippy I wanted long hair once. To smelly and annoying.Lol, i know what you mean on the annoying bit I hated having long hair, but i did it for awhile bc thats just how all the other girls had it. Then one summer, I had it chopped off, so it went from hanging around my shoulders to basically a buzzcut. So freeing! Then i started swimming and judo, where you NEED to have your hair out of your face (in judo, girls are really vicious, and they've been known to throw another person by their pony-tail if they can get ahold of it. Suffice to say, its probably better if you don't have one ) and i pretty much decided that i would never have long hair again.Of course, i had to suffer through an entire year of all the girls in the school telling me i looked like a boy (i had also started wearing stereotypical "boy" colours, because the clothes were more comfortable, so that didnt help.) That was in middle school. After I started highschool, my short hair has signalled to most of the school that i MUST be a lesbian. The fact that I had a boyfriend did not deter them in their thinking.Ugh same here, I had my hair long at once, but my dad had it cut because apparently I look like an addict...Wow, thats really strangeĀ when my brother went into highschool, he grew his hair long, and my mom just went "meh." And my dad had nothing to say about it, bc he had long hair and a full beard when he was that age XDHaha, even though I'm a girl, I think most of you guys have longer hair than me. Not that it's a bad thing, just saying, it goes against the standard figure of "boy" and "girl" I used to follow when I was like, 5. Lol, yea thats pretty much like me I had long hair when i was little, but only bc it was the stereotype to do so. So i cut it all off, and have never looked back And I'm now proud to say that i have abused the female stereotype so much that it will never bother me againXD

Star Fox Runner
Luckily, the stereotypes I fall under, I'm proud of. I like being the computer geek, I like being the gaming nerd. Why? BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL FUN AS HELL!Me personally, I don't hate people with tattoos or piercings, but I would never get one myself, it's just not my thing. Theres a game called Surge Hive, the woman in it has the longest pony tail ever. It looks cool, but the inpractical nature of it is a let down.Luckily, the stereotypes I fall under, I'm proud of.
