Guest FoXXX
My parents both use McAfee, it constantly pops up to allow a program to be executed and slows the Internet down because it scans all the websites you go to before you can view them :/

I set Kaspersky to do that on mine because I don't want programs touching critical parts of my Windows install without my knowledge. If I download a program to re-tag MP3s, I don't want it mucking with the registry or installing drivers. That's how they get crap like adware and spyware on your machine. With NoScript, you have to manually white-list every site you want to allow to run scripts. This is handy because it stops drive-by downloads, XSS attacks, and tracking software. It's a trade-off. Security is less convenient, but it is worth it, IMO. That way if you get something from somewhere once and no viruses, then you're good to go ;)

LoneWolf
Yeah, for MP3s I trust Bandcamp (a few free Lapfox trax albums!) Realplayer (Youtube convert ) Itunes (Duuuuuuuuhhhhh) and a few other sites. Actually, Mcafee has created something good, come to think of it. Siteadvisor! :D
