CrypticQuery
Something I did for two of my friends, who are spending a year in New Zealand, that's just simply awesome . Your drawing of Slippy also fits his character much better IMO than any of the canon iteration or other fanart that I've seen .

Zzz
Heh thank you ^^BTW: As of this moment I'm drawing the battle of Corneria and it's annyoing the crap outta me lolAction sequences in my Storyboard suffer from the fast-paced cuts, which ultimately make everything hard to identify, so I have to rely on sound fx.... Zzz
I'm.... worried, guys. I'm not sure if I'm able to upload my movie, because I forgot about one stupid thing that was brought to my attention in Fred's thread:I have seen Nintendo C&D Non profit fan works as well. Even if they aren't earning money' date=' if it can hurt the franchis's reputation to where people loose interest in it they can still C&D it through some loophole. I remember there was a Zelda fan game that was shut down LONG time ago on Mod Database. I still think is wrong when the people just want to have fun showing dedication. If Nintendo hates people making fan works to the point where it attracts a lot of attention, it should be something encouraged not taken away so long as they aren't making a profit. Technically fan art is considered something that can be C&D'd too if it gets a lot of attention and effects the franchise, even if it was a piece of art that you have drawn and placed on the site for free, they can order to take it down. Personally I feel it's almost like Nazi Germany when they burned the books to prevent people from learning. It might not feel like they don't want us to learn or express ideas off Nintendo game, but the number of things being pulled off or having their names changed almost feels like they don't want to pass the torch. I know Nintendo ain't evil, they are protecting what ground they have in this industry for what is possibly one of the most expensive game competitions in our history. [/quote'] RIGHT! DANG IT! I think i'm screwed. I'm not sure how Fred's cartoon is gonna be style-wise but it might be OK if it counts as parody material. But either way, Nintendo does certainly have a sadistic vein. sjrathbun812
That can happen, but if that was true, then Fred's series would've been ruined wouldn't it? Anyway, unless Nintendo sends you a message saying they want you to stop working on it, then I think your fine. The thing is, they COULD tell you to stop working on it, but they know that if they did, not as many people would like them because of it. That and they know your just trying to promote their stuff. So yeah, I think your fine. And Fred's been working on his thing for almost a year now.
Zzz
Well..... I don't belive Nintendo's aware of EVERY SINGLE fanproject that's out there. I don't have a site where I promote my movie, not a lot of people know about my stuff so yeah... eh...I'll just keep workin on it 'til they cut my throat.(Btw I started working on this project in november of last year)
sjrathbun812
Then I still think your fine. And personlly, I don't think they'll "cut your throat." I don't think you need to be worried. :)

Keep working on it, for as long as you wish.I'll definetly won't try to earn money with it. (I mean seriously, it's just a half-ass storyboard. It doesn't even have real animation )
Robert Monroe
While I don't paticularly agree with or like some of your characterizations of the, well, characters, I can not deny that I love your art style. It very much has a great 90s animated series feel, which is awesome.
Asper Sarnoff
Oh, why? It's nice and refreshing. I'm personally less of a fan of the japanese style, but have grown slightly tired of the fully western approach, so this is a welcome change for me.(I mean seriously, it's just a half-ass storyboard. It doesn't even have real animation )Then yours is nothing worse than the countless pieces of Starfox fanart out there on the interweb. Nintendo just won't bother. Robert Monroe
Well my primary dislikes are just because of personal preference: I don't see Fox as this somewhat mopey "my life sucks" type that your signature suggests. Likewise I don't see Andross as a totally uncaring unloving uncle to Andrew. But that's just my personal take on them.
Zzz
OH, no no no! The signature is meant to be funny. (Failed already there, I guess? lol)Fox DOES face a lot of trouble and has big choices to make that eventually make him question his own qualities as a leader. His characterization is somewhat based on a mixture of his SF64 and Adventures portrayal. While both being entirely different, I thought it would be best if I gave his rather bland personality in 64 a slight portion of the somewhat cynical attitude from Adventures. But he’s nowhere near an emo by any means…Frankly, I didn’t like the idea of Fox being the oh-so tragic mary sue. Sure, it’s weird talking about NOT having clichés in Starfox (but even then I guess it depends on your view) but I hope it’s understandable that a more sophisticated approach is better for a movie. I mean, when we take out the gameplay, the only thing that’s left IS the story. And unquestionably, that story must evolve to having a more complex structure. In the same sense we can’t leave the characters untouched as they are right now. Right? So I made it my job to analyze our beloved characters and turn them into more dimensional-versions. They must have dreams, fears, goals and whatnot.OF COURSE I won’t please anybody with MY take on them, nor am I trying to forcefully make people adapt my ideas, but that’s perfectly fine with me. I love hearing what other fans have to say about their interpretation! Now that I finally made this transition: Likewise I don't see Andross as a totally uncaring unloving uncle to Andrew Oh, that’s interesting! While I completely understand it’s your personal preference, I’d like to know if there was something gving you the impression that Andross in fact DOES care about Andrew.
