Starzone: Liberation 2

After the final onslaught that occured on Hellfure's surface a day prior to the Hellfurion's emperor's final hours, the Vektrans caught a glimpse of a Hellfurion armada of ships storming in onto the capital and disappearing slowly over the mountain tops -- the thundering roar of their engines echoing across the landscape of Hellfure as the remaining numbers of Hellfurions staged themselves for their last stand.  For them, this was a war to declare independence, ruling with an iron fist of proper justice, and prove their superior military might.

Several hours had passed since the Hellfurion armada had disappeared amid the mountains.  The Vektrans, stationed on standby on flagships ready for deployment, got what rest and nutrients they needed to regain their stamina and what not.  Due to the massive war, thirteen flagships were taken down by lightning artillery, two by ground AA implacements, and one by a bomb being planted inside engine room. 

The total casualties were hanging around the twenty thousand mark, wounded around thirty-seven thousand, and Missing-In-Action (M.I.A) totaled to an astounding two hundred thrity-five soldiers.  Due to the fast dwindling of Vektran forces, the calls for reinforcements were soon being called off because of short number of supplies needed to progress further into the war. 

Repairs soon were underway aboard the flagships and they soon had to dock themselves on Hellfure.  Due to the weather on the outside growing more uncontrollable, the commanders of the ships ordered their men to remain inside their barracks to keep from obtaining any sicknesses from Hellfure's partially toxic atmosphere.  As a result, the commanders ordered the engineers aboard the ships to wear head-masks under their helmets while they kept the flagships, and the landing crafts they supported, in check.  Their uniforms needed to be tightly clothes so that the toxic air wouldn't enter through their suits and enter into their lungs.

It's December 17, 3275 -- the winter weather setting in and the conditions outside the barracks are growing more intense for the engineers.  Several now have suffered from frostbite, few have come under hypothermia.  According to the flagship's temperature scale, the ships read -25 degrees farenheit.

Inside his barracks, Marcus remained sitting on his bed with his back to the metal bars holding the beds up, arms folded and legs crossed on the bed, and eyes shut to rest himself.  The room he was in was quiet -- the only sounds were of his slow, steady breathing while Para remained sitting in a chair, hunched over with his elbows on his knees and clasped hands to his lips staring out the medium sized window inside the room.  Since Para was a super soldier, meaning his natural abilities are more sharper and heightened than that of a normal being, he needed less sleep and recooperation than the soldiers on board the flagships.  Keeping a steady glance out the window, his mind flashed with the events that had passed on the surface of Hellfure with Marcus being captured and turned briefly into a Hellfurion, the struggle while traveling by buggy through the deserts to the capitals, standing their ground while an abush was set upon his unit, and hearing the constant screams and cries of fellow soldiers that were injured during the onslaughts.

In the control room, the commander of the Raging Stallion walked with his arms folded behind his back while keeping a steady glance to the crewman constantly typing up schimatics on projected screens in front of them and sliding the aside with a quick swipe of the hand.  Walking up to the large window that showed the landscape below the flagship, the commander sighed to himself, relieved his men returned with few injuries compared to the other flagships' men.

"What's the readings on the surface of Hellfure?"  he asked curriously, looking over his shoulder to a crewman beside him.

"Ground temperature is reading a steady decline of -14 degrees, sir; atmosphereic temperature is ten degrees lower; at this rate, the war may take awhile longer than we predicted, sir," the crewman replied wearily with tired-sacked eyes and stretching a bit in his seat.  Placing a hand onto the crewman's shoulder, the commander nodded to him.

"Get some rest, soldier.  You have done enough.  I'll call the ones that have not gotten a chance to keep check on things to come take your spot,"

"*Yaaaaaawwnnn*  Ughmm...  Thank you...  Sir..."  The crewman grumbled, slowly getting out of his chair and shuffled to the elevator where he pressed a few buttons for a certain floor, rubbing his eyes as the doors shut in front of him.  The commander turned and around held a button down as he continued to give an order.

"I need a fresh crewman up on the main deck for a planetary forcast," he casually ordered and a chim came immediately after giving the order.  Walking back to the window, he exhaled a steadily through his nostrils as the sun started to rise in the distance.

[Kursed]

LUpe walked into the room where Marcus and PAra were in. "Krystal's busy so i thought I'd come and see you two how you doing?" The grey wolf asked.

Meanwhile on the landed  destroyer The Aurora Krystal was busy with something in her  Medical ward  a large  bacta tank sat in front of  a blue vixen as she wrote something down. "Right so with the current weather conditions no longer a problem this should work?" The blue vixen asked  seeming to be talking to herself.

A holgram of a snow white Vixen appeared next to the blue vixen "Yes  environmental  systems are operating at nominal levels you may proceed with the regeneration." Said Serena the ship board Ai.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

LUpe walked into the room where Marcus and PAra were in. "Krystal's busy so i thought I'd come and see you two how you doing?" The grey wolf asked.

Para turned to Lupe, sitting back in his chair now, and nodded for her to have a seat.  "Decent enough.  Besides being flooded by issues from the planet's sudden change in temperature and landscape, I would say that we are fine."  He looked over at Marcus, "Besides him.  Once he got back to his barrack, he threw his things down on the floor, not even answering my question I asked him when I got my things situated, and before you knew it he was out like a baby."  Para looked back to Lupe, "I still think it's because of his mental state of PTSD, or he's just too stressed and worn out from the earlier conflicts that he's been in that he hasn't had enough sleep."  He shrugged now and crossed his feet and arms, "He's been like that for two hours now."

Soon, a back-up crewman walked in and saluted the commander on his way to his designated seat.  He immediately cracked his knuckles and began typing onto the hologrammic keyboards, sliding windows aside, and gluing his face to the screen.  The commander turned back around and began walking behind the rest of the crewman to make sure they were doing their job propperly, weren't sleeping, and any anomolies didn't pop up once he passed them.

Down on the levels before the barracks, the most exposed level, the engineers continued drilling and welding parts back together while running data schimatics on the parts.  A few were seated inside a small room where the lights were on, the crewman holding cups steaming with hot cocoa with their gloves having ice melting and sliding off their suits, and majority of them were shivering constantly.  As the engineers continued doing their job, some would briefly stop to brush off some ice on their suit, cough, or would momentarily pace back and forth to catch their breaths since they were still up at a higher altitude than normal.  But, other than that, they got back to work.  Every so occasion, a crewman or two would walk through the breakroom door and jogg over to his fellow engineers so that they could give him some instructions onto what to do.  Most of them were to assist the more advanced engineers welding parts back together and the rest were to go retrieve supplies down at the docking bay that would be daily shipped every four hours.

[Kursed]

Lupe sat down On MArcus' lap "I see." She mutter rubbing under  Marcus' chin.

meanwhile back at the aurora.

"Good looks like everything is working you will be back in a body soon my friend." Krystal muttered.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Marcus grumbled and nuzzled Lupe's hand in his sleep.

Para only chuckled at seeing it and turned his attention back out the window.

The figure Kursed was speaking to remained in a large, glass tube filled with water and portions of it's body were missing while long tubes were attached to her body and securing her muzzle.  It's arms were completely fine, legs were fitted with what looked like metallic boots up to her hips, and the right side of her face was encased in a metal plate shaped to her expression.  While head hung and floating in the tube of water anonymously, the figure looked slowly up to Kursed with halfly opened eyes and her heart rate constant on the monitor.

"huff....  ufff......  I.......  We.......  Are.....  The same...." the figure mustered out in a female tone.

[Kursed]

"Yeah umm just relax while your body regenerates." Krystal muttered ( The plates and stuff will come off when she comes out okay?)

"Hmm." Lupe asiad  nuzzling with Marcus.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Regul only continued huffing through the mask she had been wearing the entire time in the tube and began to look around it.  Bubbles leaving out the side of her mask due to her exhaling, she slowly patted the sides of the window and continued to look around.

Marcus smirked a little and soon nuzzled up to Lupe's, slowly placing his arms around her waist.

[Kursed]

"Relax Regul."Krystal said "We're almost finished here besides umm...." Krystal blushed " You might want to get dressed.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Regul slowly paused, looking down at Krystal and letting her arms fall to her sides as she obeyed Krystal.  Soon, she hung her head over and curled up into a ball -- arms across her breast, and legs pressed tightly together against her head.

another hour passed before Krystal let Regul out of the tank her body fully restored the metal plates releasing her new body. "Welcome back to the living." Krystal said handing Regul her clothes.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Regul, staring at her hands and new body, threw the water off of her fur and grasped her clothes gently.  She soon took them and cautiously stepped down from the tube, then began to put on her clothes Krystal supplied her with.  As she pulled on her combat vest, she paused as her mind flashed for a moment back to the brief moment on Hellfure where she found out she was set up and killed.  Grunting and shaking the though away, she continued to put her clothes on and looked over towards a mirror.  Seeing her revitalized self reflecting in the mirror, she slowly walked towards it, holding out her hand to it, touching the window, and then retreating her hand to her face.  "Has there been anything new added to my body,"  she asked, looking at herself in the mirror.

[Kursed]

"No.' Krystal replied simply "I simply used Dna from  some hair I got from you and created your body from that Dna."Krystal explained. "Can you not die on me this time?"

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Regul chuckled and looked to Krystal, "I can't garuntee any promises, hun.  Everyday someone dies; I was just the unfortunate one that day."  She put her gear on and went to walk out the door before stopping herself.  "Oh," she began, turning around to Krystal, "Thank you for bringing me back."

[Kursed]

"Thank me when you know you can do everything Including Going to the restroom." KRystal replied "I'll have to fill you in on what's been happening."

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"Should I wait for you in the main deck?"  Regul curiously asked with a flick of her tail and looking to Krystal.

Back on the flagship, repairs were nearly complete.  So far, the only thing the crew needed was to find enough fuel supply to refuel the flagships in the armada -- their fuel supply was below fifty percent.  The engineers on decks continued finishing welding the parts together and they all went down to the docking bay -- where the fighters and dropships were located.  They all walked to a post, began to bring up the ships' schimatics, while the rest of them climbed around the ships and started to work on them:  Parts being removed and remodeled and welding a few bullets holes in.

[Kursed]

"Considering I need to use the restroom I'd think that'd be a good Idea unless you want Serena to fill you in." Krystal replied simply flinching a bit as she covered her bosom with her arms, her tail swayed quickly showing how eager her body was to be relieved. Krystal was not in her usual jumpsuit  as a matter of Fact her clothes seemed more like a night gown  with  Pjama pants.

"So Para how are this ships enviromental systems fuctioning?" Lupe asked rubbing marcus' back.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Regul nodded, walking on into the main deck as she waited for Krystal to return.  "So, I guess this 'Serena' is suppose to fill me in on what happened?"  she asked herself, sitting down and taking off her gloves.

Marcus groaned from Lupe rubbing his back and hunched over more so she could rub it more.

Para kept his glance out the window, "It is stabilizing the temperature in the barracks and in every room but out on the decks."  He then looked over to Lupe, "Meaning, if you opened that door, a huge rush of extremely cold winter air would blow through the opening.  For me, I would just adapt quickly to the air and cold environments."  He put on his head piece, flipped a button to make the screen slide in front of his eyes, and several hologrammed windows popped up.  He scanned the all and waved his hand to the side -- the windows minimizing and moving off to the left side of his visor.  "By what I have just read and saw, the ground level is pretty hazardous.  We would need a LOT of snow gear and enough protection against the Hellfurion's winter air." 

He tapped on his communicator and an update popped up, "Well, what do you know?  Seems like the Vektrans have an upgrade they're about to install."  As the update began, it then stopped -- showing that it was complete.  Para huffed to himself and brought up the screen and it showed a small octagonal shaped device slowly circling round-and-round.  "Guess we are using state-of-the-art shields now -- Vektrans just passed a law that the military forces are give state-of-the-art shielding devices to protect themselves from most gunfire."  He tapped on his head piece and read the description from there:

"As the new TI-041 Shielder is being in use for military purposes ONLY, the shields would protect every soldier from most gunfire, but would require a some time to regenerate to one-hundred percent full shielding -- remaining in cover and avoiding being hit by gunfire is a MUST requirement."

Para closed the window, his visor slid back and he removed his head piece, "Seems like they are catching up with present day technology.  Personally, I enjoyed not having shielding, but by what I have recently heard about the Hellfurions, I might as well use them."

[Kursed]

"Don't tell me you don't remember me?" Serena asked her holgram appearing In Front of Regul "It may have been only a few minutes ,but we did meet."

"Problem is that sheild will not protect you from falling."Lupe noted.'As for the weather Krystal was working on that with Serena perhaps she came up with something."

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Regul placed her hand slowly to the side of her head, eyes flickering side to side, and placing her other hand on the opposite side of her head.  "All I remember...  I being forced onto my knees, thinking about what someone was saying, then a sharp feeling struck the back of my head and I'm falling onto the dirt...  Immobilized and vision fading...  Then....  I'm waking up in a large bacta tank."

"Very true,"  Para added on and took his equipment off.  "At least they can protect you from the hard weather than most shielding I have seen repel only certain weather conditions and malfunction during it's repelling."  He got up and walking over to Lupe, then pulled a chair up to the bed beside her, holding his hand out, "May I see your shielding device?"

[Kursed]

"You don't remember the First Time Krystal revived you?" Serena asked.

Krystal soon walked into the room. "You alright Regul?" RThe blue Vixen asked looking a lot more focused.

Lupe handed over her personl sheild generator it was a small unit. "Keep it if you want I'll be getting a new one with my powersuit." Lupe noted."Still this one is alot more advanced than the Vectran one." she added rubibn teh back of Marcus' back again.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"N-no, I don't...  I don't remember much of anything from the first encounter,"  Regul weakfully responded, looking up to Serena and over to Krystal.  "To be honest, I only remember being alive and I'm dead the next second."

Para examined the device, taking it apart and moving a few wires and bulbs around.  "A-ha!" he announced, looking at the device, "Here's the problem:  The drive that ran the shield was struck by a bullet and was short-circuited a bit."  He looked to Lupe, "Did you have any problems bringing your shield up or did it have any trouble regenerating?"

[Kursed]

"N-no, I don't...  I don't remember much of anything from the first encounter,"  Regul weakfully responded, looking up to Serena and over to Krystal.  "To be honest, I only remember being alive and I'm dead the next second."

"I think it just regenerated a bit slower." Lupe replied honestly." Then again I don't really know seeing as I wasn't paying attention to the power meter.

"Right well maybe your memories didn't come back..." Krystal replied anyway I'll bring you up to speed soon after your death we moved on and killed Emperor Razari.  Once we left the palace I think most of the Hellfurion fleet seperated  to the north and south poles were the Vectrans chased most of them  ,however they hit a stalemate while the  hellfurion forces are dwindling the Vectrans supplies  were. "  My team was not affected as  we  had very light engagment up till now.  The Vectrans now wear power armor I brought a few suits of my own." KRystal began showing Regul hologram images of what had happend and some pictures of things she did not have videos of. "As of now I'm just waiting for Orders and  the Vectrans to repair their flagships." Krystal explained. "Considering your...well Dead Regul I guess your in my squad, but all that aside what would you like to eat for your first meal?"

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Listening to Krystal with a blank look and her mouth slightly opened, she quickly flicked her ear and looked away.  She rubbed behind her neck, groaning a little bit as she looked up to the ceiling with her hand still rubbing her shoulder.  "I...  I knew this would have happened anyways...."  She closed her eyes and looked back down to the floor.  "The Hellfurions are going to be ten times more volitile and vicious this time around," she inferred and looked up to Serena, "I sure hope your scanners picked that up since I overheard a few troopers talking about some injections they were going to be given."

Para sat back, looking at the device sideways.  "That could be the reason, too.  But there's a dent along the center that is catching my attention..."  he pointed out, showing Lupe the dent with torn paint off it.

[Kursed]

"Yeah I got that."Krystal remarked "What would you like to eat?"

"I'm not the tech wiz Para."Lupe replied shrugging.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

With a respectful huff, Para handed Lupe back the device and put it back together for her.  "Well, I guess you can just go and dispose of it like you said you were going to do."  He took his chair and bowed to Lupe, "Thank you for the brief interlude of a conversation."  He then took his chair and sat back down by the window but this time with his back to the everything around him.  He put his headpiece and communicator onto the table, brought out a wrench and began to work on his equipment.

Regul stopped rubbing her neck and looked to Krystal, "Just a bowl of noodle soup would be fine."
