(He was just off of the trail from the group, Kursed.)

Regul shrugged at Krystal's contentment, "Well, at least I don't have to worry about certain people so frequently that would endanger myself in the process."  She continued past a few soldiers looking around and scanning the ground for things while she holstered her pistol walking until she came to another structure, but it being nowhere near as tall as the one she came from.  Looking at it up and down, she angled her forearm towards her chest, bringing out a scanner, and held it out to the structure while a fanned out laser projected from her arm, then she casted it down the wall until she found something intriguing.  Tilting her head slowly and stepping closer, the image soon became clearer and clearer as she got closer, and closer, until she could see exactly what it was.

Suddenly, a loud scream echoed in her head and she quickly retaliated by putting the scanner away and walking off in shock.  A few soldiers looked over at her as they could see her quickly dart away from the wall and exchanged similar glances to one another, then got back to work.

Marcus, hearing Lupe's question, nodded as he continued passed her, "I'll manage."  He knelt down in the snow and felt around for a rough feel of a road as the storm soon calmed completely, leaving behind an extremely cold atmosphere that the soldiers barely felt due to their enhanced uniforms.  "How are you holding up?" he asked Lupe, looking slightly over his shoulder and resting his forearm that was in the snow onto his thigh.

"Hey!" Scott yelled seeing how freaked out she was and ran over to her... Placing his hand on her shoulder as he got close enough...

"Are You alright?" He Asked Removing his helmet, with a concerned Face beneth it.

Eyes shooting back and forth, and breathing coherent, Regul replied, "Uh...  Y-yeah, I'm, uhh....  I'm f-fine."  She then walked off shaking her head and mumbling to herself as she soon continued passed Marcus.  He looked up at her as she passed and looked back to what he was doing.

Krystal felt as if she had heard someone scream in fear the feeling was all telepathic to her thought she looked around. "Is everyone alright?" She asked looking around worriedly.

The soldiers around Krystal all waved to her that they were fine since they didn't hear what Regul and Krystal heard.

Regul then stopped near the edge of the cliff, walking back and forth several feet away from the edge, and having one hand to her forehead as she tried to regather her thoughts and spirits.  Stopping and placing her hands onto her hips, then closing her eyes, she took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly as she calmed herself from the event that had shooken her up so badly.

Looking to Krystal, Regul shook her head worriedly, "I really don't know.  All I saw was the shadow of a person implanted on the wall and suddenly I heard this loud scream out of nowhere!"  She looked back at the ruins behind Krystal and where the soldiers were taking a break.  "This looks more on the lines of a goddamn nuclear graveyard, if you ask me.  There isn't any other explanation for that shadow on the wall I saw covered up by the snow."  She then looked back to Krystal, exchanging the same worried look and then looked to the distance to her right as the wind slowly blew against them with the snow picking up very slightly.  "I'm guessing the Hellfurions are using this wasteland as a base of opportunity to strike us when we least expect it.  But, it also could be leading us somewhere into a trap; I'm not entirely sure, but I have a gut feeling this is going to a longer fight than we expected, Krystal."

"I just wish I could figure out why in the name of Prince Tricky we're here." Krystal sighed. steam rising from her muzzle plate. She soon crouched down,  then looked to the ground hand idly playing with the snow.

Lupe hadn't heard the scream as her telepathy wasn't  as strong as Krystal's however she had the strangest feeling something  wierd had  just happened wierd because the feeling had her confuzed.

"We're here because we f***ing volunteered to help these idiots," Regul sourly responded, looking away with her hands on her hips, "But the benefits are damn worth the assignments."

Marcus rose up to full stature and looked to Lupe while holding his rifle by the grip, "Get your things; we're leaving now."  He then walked passed her, breath clouding around his helmet until he stopped about five meters from the structure where the platoon was scavenging what ever they could find.

"ALRIGHT, LET'S MOVE OUT!!!  WE'VE FOUND WHAT WE CAME FOR!!!  LET'S NOT WASTE ANYMORE TIME LADIES AND GENTS!!!"  Marcus announced and loud confirmations echoed throughout the ruins, and the Vektran soldiers began to follow close behind Marcus.

"Sadly thats the universe we live in..." Scott sighed as he walked up and place his hand on the armored vixen's shoulder. "Coruption, Greed, And suffering... War is natural, as much as we don't want it to... as long as there are 2 people in one Galaxy, Conflict is iminent... Nature doesn't have nor need a purpose..."

Krystal Almost Punched Scott since he Surprized her ,her Fist stopped just short of his armored  muzzle. "Don't do that ,please." The blue vixen  muttered letting her arm drop to her side turing around revealing the mark on the back of her armor the same white markings found on her thighs.

"I didn't Intend to..." He replied... Almost imiedetly recognising the symbol as the one he had seen before. "By the way... What does that symbol even mean anyway?"

"Ask a Cerinian Preist." Krystal noted "That is if you can find one, because I have no idea." Krystal replied with a sigh.

Regul continued on ahead with the group as they cautiously walked down the near steep slope.  As she trudged through the snow, she could only remember the words the figure, or Hellfurion renegade, said to her several moments before.  "Just what did he mean?"  she quietly asked herself as a small breath cloud drew around her muzzle plate, "Bits and pieces just didn't add up while the rest just meant that...  That we...  We're suppose to be killed here?!"  Regul stopped in her tracks at the realization, holstering her machine pistol and pulling out the dagger the figure gave her.  "Time to put my years of stealth skills to the f***ing test..."  she muttered and disappeared amid the troops until he vanished from sight.

While the platoon trudged on down the hill and the weather started to pick up, Marcus turned his attention to the skies as large and thick storm clouds began to linger over them.  Grumbling under his breath, he kept his same pace, but began to halfly jog.  Realizing their vcommander increasing in pace, they too began to jog at his pace as distance howls began to emerge in the distance.  Mixed in with the howls were low, booming sounds that soon followed with medium pitched whistles that grew louder and louder as the storm began to progress onto the platoon.

"I hope your being wise Regul." Krystal muttered under her breath as she saw her dissapear. She kept up with the others having to wipe her visor once in awhile to clear the snow.

"I sure hope that's the wind I hear," Marcus said to himself under his panting and clouds of breath flowing from around his mask and helmet.  The platoon kept the jogging pace while the storm that seemed to had passed over a few hours ago returned with a much greater force than before; this time with winds much more stronger and snow pounding the soldiers even harder.  As they continued down the path, which was not as steep as the last, an engineer jogged up to Marcus' side.

"SIR," he called through his comms to Marcus, "READINGS SHOW THAT OUR SHIELDING HAS BEEN DOWN EVER SINCE WE TOUCHED DOWN!!!"

"Do, WHAT?!!"  Marcus called back, looking over to him and slowing his pace.  He turned to the platoon following close behind, "STOP!!!  HOLD GROUND!!!"  The platoon stopped on command and majority of the men, hunched slightly away from the storm's wind direction and snow clumping on their suits which they brushed off, held their arms over the side of their face to prevent the snow and colder air from sticking to their masks.  "SO, FOR ALL THIS TIME OUR SHIELDS HAVE BEEN INACTIVE??!"

"UHHH, YES, SIR, INDEED!  FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS NOW!!!"

"GODDAMMIT!!!  TRY AND SEE IF YOU CAN GET THE REST OF YOUR MECHANIC JUNKIES AND GET THESE THINGS BACK ONLINE!  I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER THE REST OF US WILL PULL THROUGH THIS!"  Marucs ordered, turning to the engineer.

----------------

Meanwhile, about five football field lengths from the platoon, Regul sprinted through the snow -- storm pounding her armor even more and snow sticking to it so much that it started to interfere with it's systems -- and grunting as she would on occasions lose her footing.  As she continued, four sihlouettes, bigger than the last two that she saw when she was apart of the platoon, lingered amidst the hills conceiled by the storm and blizzard that was coming her way:  Two seemed the same as the last mech they destroyed, another with a cubical-like torso and two cube-like objects on it's shoulders with two, short, straight arms, and the last as a looming, bipedal figure that seemed to tower the other sihlouettes.  Ignoring them, Regul continued on until she came to the side of a mountain which led what seemed to be under a Hellfurion military base.  Feeling around since her vision was being blinded by the snow, she soon turned into an opening where the snow suddenly stopped and the atmosphere felt more warmer and comfortable.  Wiping her visor, Regul looked around at where she was.

"A cave?!"  she asked herself in disbelief, "I didn't know the Hellfurions built these stupid things!"

"It does not belong to them,"  a voice answered to the side of the cave from Regul.  She immediately turned and pulled out her machine pistol to where she heard the voice.  "Rest your weapon; it is I, again,"  the voice assured her and hopped down from the wall it was perched on.  Walking towards her, the figure soon became more apparant to her:  It was the same person she encountered at the ruins.

"YOU!"

"Lupe, scott I've lost Regul's signal"Krystal voice crackled over her teams comm, although it was a bit filled with static due to how far she was from the other two. She had goon searching for the other Vixen in her team using her telepathy  and The last Signal from Regul's armor to Find her general location although at this range her telepathy was prety much useless.

The figure placed a hand onto her shoulder and looked down to her through the eye lenses on the suit's helmet.  "If you are to let go of the fabric in which binds you into a sole being, then allow me to release the restraints to you can become many," he spoke quietly to her, noticing a signal transmitter behind Regul's left shoulder.

Hesitating, Regul pushed his arm away and quietly whipped her machine pistol out of it's holster, then up to the muzzle of the figure's helmet.  "Keep your hands off of me!"  Keeping a firm grip on the machine pistol and not taking her eyes off of the figure, he slowly retreated his arm behind his back while she aimed directly at his mouth.

"Go on," he insisted, "Although you are hardened to the teeth, your will to fire will backfire unto yourself."  She glared back at him through her helmet and began to slowly squeeze the trigger.  Everything was still around them but the faint howling of the blizzard outside the cave.

"You're wrong about one f***ing thing, pal,"  Regul retorted squeezing harder on her machine pistol, "I won't hesitate to fire--"

"Then why have you not pulled the trigger?"  the figure interupted.  Caught off guard by the comeback, Regul tensed her posture, pulling on the trigger and the figure swiftly leaned to the side, pushing her machine pistol to the side as it went off.  He twisted her arm, causing her to drop her pistol, and he pushed her back with his grip on her arm, then pulled her back towards him before stepping forward and throwing her forcefully to the ground -- small crater in the ground due to the sheer force and the suit's durable armor.  Suddenly, the figure pressed his left knee onto her thighs, then his other onto her left arm, his left hand holding down her right arm, and then was leaning forward close to her face with his very own dagger right at her neck.  "You have MUCH to learn about trusting the bouts of another.  Also, the way of knowing your enemy before engaging."

"I know when to enga-- AGHHHH!!"  He pressed the dagger harder against Regul's neck to cut her speaking off.  He quickly let go of his restraints on Regul, leaping to the side to let her get up and challenge her.  As she got up and stretched her arms back in place, she noticed his posture was more crouched and like that of an assassin more than a regular foot soldier.  He held the dagger with the blade resting on his forearm as he kept a hand raised out slightly towards her as they slowly circled each other.  As they did so, Regul pulled the dagger out of her boot and brough it out in front of her, ready to fight.  She then lunged forward, swiping the dagger towards the figure but he simply leaned backwards away from the attack.  She then swiped several more times, the figure leaning away from each swipe, until she finally dealt a right straight kick that the figure simply caught and pulled her leg towards himself; her body falling towards him as he did so.  As she caught her balance, the figure strafed behind her, lined himself up with the signalling device behind Regul's left shoulder and took a medium-lengthed lunge, throwing a straight, flattened palm out until it collided with the device, shattering it and cracking a portion of Regul's suit.

The force of the blow was so great that it knocked Regul off of her feet and landing face-first into the ground, shattering an eye lense in the process.  She groaned a little from the blow -- coughing under her breath -- as she tried turning on the suit's map schimatics.  To her dismay, the only thing she received was the screen completely on the fritz from the blow that virtually burnt out all of the wiring, destroyed the built-in mechanics, and redenered her motionless.  She tried to move the suit's joints, but they were unresponsive at the time.  Noticing her troubles, the figure holstered his dagger and walked casually over to her, then knelt down beside her.

"Having trouble, I assume?" he observed, seeing Regul shruggle in the suit.

"Ha, ha, very funny!"  The figure sighed to himself and completely ripped out the device from her shoulder, then rolled her onto her back so that she was staring straight up at him.

"If you are trained on trying to kill me for my recent actions, then it will be some time before you truly understand my very own reasons for attacking such people.  For now, try to let the steam from your head flow out while I tend to my personal tidings."  Leaving Regul where she laid, he walked over to where a torch lit the cave and slid onto his back until his rear hit the ground.  He pulled out his dagger and began to clean it while Regul grunted and strained to make the suit respond, but to no avail.

----------

The platoon soon came to vertical wall of snow that halted their progression forth to the base.  Looking to his men, Marcus called out over the blizzard, "SPREAD OUT AND SEE IF ANY ONE OF YOU CAN FIND AN ENTRANCE OF SOME KIND!!!"  The platoon split up as ordered and began to feel around the snow for anything they could grab, or feel, through the thick snow.

Scott was Tired But the armor helped prevent his shakiness from interfering with his Aim as he held onto his charged pistol with a firm grip, keeping his ear's tuned for anything other then his or Krystal's footsteps and the moisture dripping from the stalactites above their heads...

'Krystal, can you sense anything? I'm not liking the Vibe of this place...' The Hybrid asked mentally as to keep his voice from messing with his own ear's...
