Outside the camp, Regul began pacing herself back and forth in the snow:  Arms folded and clouds puffing from her muzzle.  "No...  No, no, no..." She kept muttering and stopped once she saw Marcus and Lupe walking up.  "Marcus," she began, "Thank god!  I've got something to tell you."

"Regul, why did you--"

"The Hellfurions," she interupted.

"What about them?"  Marcus replied, looking to Lupe and back to Regul.

"Colonel Eisenholf just radioed in; the Hellfurions have pinpointed the camp on their radars.  He said that we have about a day to get out before the whole area is bombarded with artillery shells."

Standing for a minute in disbelief, Marcus listened to Regul.  After she finished, he looked to Lupe, then back to the camp.  He turned and began walking towards it.

"Marcus--"

"Get your things, Regul.  We're moving out in an hour!"  Marcus called back as he walked back through the entrance.

Amid the cliffs and veiled in the snow, a Hellfurion sniper kept his aim on the three that were outside.  Looking to the camp and pressing his comm link in his ear, he said, "Target location confirmed.  Two miles below base Alpha.  Awaiting next orders."

"Great work.  Resume your position and continue feeding intel.  We have almost all we need right now, but it's not enough." a voice rang back through his comm link.

"Affirmative.  Over and out."

Lupe's ears perked up "It's not safe here. Someone is whacthing...." Said the grey She- wolf as she followed Marcus.

Walking to Marcus from the other side of the tent."This isn't what I think it is?" Krystal asked Marcus her body language clearly showing she was tense or unnerved as she walked up to him.

Marcus calmly passed Krystal and pounded on the steel table near the comm center -- this got everyones' attention and made them stop what they were doing.

"ALRIGHT, LISTEN UP!  THE HELLFURIONS HAVE JUST LOCATED WHERE WE'RE LOCATED!"

A large number of soldiers started murmuring amongst one another and Marcus pounded harder on the table.

"LISTEN, NOW!!!  WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME!  IN A MATTER OF TEN HOURS, THIS PLACE IS GOING TO BE FLATTENED!  SO, I'D ADVICE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU TO GET YOUR S*** TOGETHER, DRINK AND EAT WHAT YOU CAN, AND BE READY WITHIN THE HOUR!

Marcus turned back to the men at the comm center to radio to the colonel that they were moving out in a hours time.  Marcus proceeded to put on his gloves, pulling them tightly on and strapping them on.  Then, he put on the face-mask he once had on and started packing it into his suit.  He walked back over to the spot he and Lupe were just at moments before, and picked up his helmet.

-----------------

In the distance, the sniper got up from it's position, snow falling off and blowing in the wind, then proceeded to call the commanders he once radioed in for.  But, before he could do so, a hand wrapped around his mouth and a knife quickly swiped across his neck.  Blood sprayed out in a constant stream even as the soldier flumped into the snow, cringing and tensing up from the cut, and gagging -- red snow began to form around his head and continued to grow.  Staring at the dying soldier, the figure wiped off the blood onto it's hands, holstered it, then knelt down in a praying stance.  Mumbling a chant as the soldier soon slowed it's movements to a halt, the figure got back up and stood over the soldier.

"Another helpless soul clensed of it's filth.  One of many has fallen; thousands upon nations still remain."  It whispered to itself and looked over the cliff to the camp where the Vektrans were located.  "They are equally responsible for the tyranny of this race.  They, too, shall meet the same gruesome fate as this one did.  But, in time, they will be purged.  Even though they show no signs of hostility, my true nature will not hold me back in clensing their dreddful spirits."  With that said, it looked back to the dead soldier, now with large red snow around it, and pulled out it's knife once more.  Kneeling back down beside the soldier, it held the fallen soldier's head still and made one quick, powerful swipe and it severed the soldier's head from it's shoulders.  The snow now turned a darker red as the head dripped from the severed neck.

It then leapt down to closer cliffs until it reached the ground where a long field of heads mounted on spikes field the area, but a small path where anyone coming through could follow.  Reaching a particular spike with nothing on it, the figure slowly and easily slid the head onto it and wiped it's hands off before walking off into a thicker field of spikes -- it disappearing from view.

Marcus swayed his head away, "One after the other, there's bad news.  When will there ever be any good things...?"  He slid on his helmet, then fastened the chin strap and slid down the visor.  Walking towards the entrance, he picked up his rifle and grasped it in both hands as he walked out of the camp, and into the frigid snow environment.

Regul, too, slipped on her mask and visor, cocking her silenced machine pistol, and placing it in her holster before following Marcus out the door.

"Marcus," she began, "Are you sure we're going to get out of this alive?"

Marcus kept walking, his head turning slightly and turning back around.  "I honestly don't know."

"If you two are gonna have that  attitude of course not expecting  to die you will you need to expect to win to win the first battle the one in your mind." Krystal noted as she set her helmet onto her head.

Regul looked back to Krystal, "Sorry, but this war wasn't anything we had hoped it to be."  She looked back as she followed Marcus.  "To be honest, even I wasn't ready for such a resistance as the Hellfurions put up since we first landed.  Hell, I was completely caught off-guard when we were ran straight into the ambush back in the first city we traveled through that caused myself to be critically injured."  Her eyes looked to her side, "Thanks to you and your medical stuff, I managed to regain my strength and go on."

Marcus, remaining silent, continued on but stopped abruptly looking back to the camp.  "Let's wait here until the platoon is ready.  I don't want us to go on ahead and be among the first to get ourselves killed."  He then knelt down, setting his rifle down on the ground vertically on it's butt while looking up to the two.  "Might as well get yourselves comfortable for the moment.  I'm pretty sure they will get ready within fourty-five minutes."

"But," Regul said, looking to the camp and back to Marcus, "What if they haven't came out yet?"

"Then, I don't suppose you two would want to sit here and find out what would happen if that time expires."

Knowing what Marcus meant, she lowered her head and pulled her goggles off of her eyes, but resting on top of her head.  "...I understand..."

Marcus looked to Krystal, "Unless you have a better idea rather than abandoning these men and women, and go on by ourselves, then I'm all ears."

Regul, hearing this, threw her head up quickly to Marcus.  "If that's the case, then I'm not going to just stand here and wait.  If you want to get this war over with, we had better figure out something.  And QUICK!"

Hearing Regul's concerns, Marcus got up and picked up his rifle while grasping it in both of his hands -- one on the handle and the other on the grip.  "Alright, you two have talked me into it."  He placed the palm of his hand over his mic and radioed in to the platoon and informed them he and four others were pressing on.  "Let's not get cold feet and wait on what's going to happen.  Let's go!"  He turned around and began to trudge through the heavy snow while Regul followed a ways behind him.

Seeming a bit Flustered about the suddenness of already being Found Scott Was Walking out of the Tent and Towards the other 3. An old helfurain Rifle was his Hands and his helmet was back on, though even with his Face Hidden his body movements and lowered head could make it pretty noticeable that he was stressed... "Krystal, What the Hell is going here?" They Hybrid asked with the sound of a bit of static being heard through the helmet, taking quick glance back at the tent to see if anyone else was coming along... "I honestly don't think we Have the Time nor the best of situations right now to take risks... We have a Freaken Blizzard as well as an enemy in our path, So this Doesn't actually seem like some idea you would find in 'Surviving in Frozen Tundra's for Newbies'..."

Might as well lock it. I've waited too long for someone else to join OneWinged and myself.
