Redeemer
I was just curious, how many of you use eBay? I tend to use it every now and then, but when I do use it, I buy a whole bunch of things at once. I've had my account since I was 15, and I now have a total of 55 feedback scores, all positive. The first thing I bought was a signed mask worn by the wrestler Ray Mysterio... I should totally sell that. Wow, forgot all about it! Anyway, haha! Yeah, in a space of 6 years, I've used eBay 55 times. And today I bought a fresh copy of the first Silent Hill game (because mine is really on its last legs/edges/whatever) and I also bought a new copy of Silent Hill 3 because I've just noticed that my copy is missing. It was either stolen or I lost it when I moved flat.Have any of you ever been "eBay-ed"? As in, you buy something and don't recieve it? I've had that twice. The first time was with a pair of boots. I spent £13 on them, and the woman gave me positive feedback when she got my payment then never sent them. I complained but back then the refund policy was different so I didn't get my money back, but on the bright side, her account was deleted and she was reported to paypal. The second time it happened was with a DVD I had bought for my dad. 300, actually, what a great movie. Anyway, it cost me £7 and it never arrived, I complained but nothing happened, at all. So instead, I gave the guy negative feed back and put in block caps that he was a thief. Because he was. Grr.
CrypticQuery
I've used Ebay several times, especially for Video Games . I've bought the NES edition color scheme for the Gameboy Advance SP, an actual NES action set, complete with box, and several games. I've never not received my items, but I did receive counterfeit GBA games at one point. Other than that, I've had nothing but great shopping at Ebay, and good deals are usually not that bad to come by . I'm lucky to have a Video Game specialty shop near me though, they sell everything from Atari 2600 to the current generation, systems, games, and all! :D
"User"
I've never used it. Not sure if I ever will.
Scott7
From age 13-14 I used to have a habit of collecting Action figures based off of video game characters there, Which I sort of regret doing since I lost quite a bit of my savings Buying a set of mint condition Soul Calibur 1 figures... only to have them damaged pretty badly when we moved to a new home So kicked the habbit pretty quickly
Redeemer
Any reason why, User? Although I don't blame you - I know a good number of people that are against it.And yeah, crazyfoo, I buy a lot of game related stuff from it, plus presents at Christmas. My brother and sister both love games so I try to get them something related to a game they love, and it's eBay that provides.Unfortunately, I seem to have no special shop that sells cool game stuff nearby. I've looked around in the nearest major towns and stuff too, and the only cool shops we have are Forbidden Planet, but even they have limits. Scotland just doesn't have the right shops for that stuff. Although, I did notice a shop when I moved here called "The eBay Shop", and basically it was run by a woman who ordered stuff for you on eBay, you'd pay her and collect it later. She was shut down though, don't know why... I thought it was a great idea.Ouch OneWingedAngel, that's unlucky. I buy figures too, but I want to complete my Raziel collection and they don't seem to be around anymore, even on eBay. :'(
Scott7
She was shut down though, don't know why... I thought it was a great idea.Sound's Generous of someone to make a nice a business like that. Though I could see quite a few possibilities as to why It could have gone down. Issues with the company itself, Lack of trust when a customer wanted to make a deal, or maybe just not getting enough of them...But it still sounded nice either way, alot of people really can't stand buying stuff on the internet...Ouch OneWingedAngel, that's unlucky. I buy figures too, but I want to complete my Raziel collection and they don't seem to be around anymore, even on eBay. :'(I could see why, the guy looks pretty cool. Fortunately Mitsurugi Survived enough to have some value, though the box was still torn a bit... He's still in my closet next to an old Roxas figure, which I'm probably going to get rid of sooner or later.
Ellipzocore
I have asked my mother to use it a couple times. I got an Action Replay disc for the GameCube, and a phone cover for my Droid Eris.
Redeemer
Yeah OneWingedAngel, I thought so too, but she probably did lose out on business after the phone companies started doing their super-cheap (or so they want you to think) internet packages. Most people have internet in their home now.It sucks when the packaging gets busted, voids all collectibility. I feel your pain. *hugs*Yeah, the figure I really, really, really, REALLY want is the Lieutenant Raziel figure. Honestly, I could dye happy knowing it was mine. It pops up on eBay occasionally but it sells for ALOT. Some other awesome Raziel figures appear but they're all in the States and postage is really expensive. :'(

Redeemer
I use eBay only as a last resort because that's happened to me far too often. D|Dude. I never knew you were a SH fan until that one post on Scariest Video Games. You...are my new best friend. 8I-silenthillfanhighfive-Are ya talking to me? :3 Because if so, I'm a dudette. :3 And yeah! *silenthillhighfive*
Redeemer
asdfjkl; sorry. D| I call men and women "dude", it's slang down here that I've unfortunately caught on to.S'all good, bro. So, my Hallowe'en dress will be from eBay! It's made in China, and they do custom measurements too so I hope they're accurate. I've heard stuff made in China, clothes wise, is pretty small even if you spell out exactly how many inches you need the sizes in.

Sabre
I only use eBay if I wish to get imports or hard-to-find games...Pretty much. Oh, that reminds me.I was "e-bayed" twice, or rather my dad was. See, I was buying computer parts and my dad bought them off ebay against my advice. One never arrived (as part a huge scam on his part) and once was a graphics card that didn't work. I guess, like most scams, it's all about people being stupid. As I said, a layperson buying technical things second hand at bargain prices. The saying "If it's to good to be true, then it probley is."
Vy'drach
I use ebay now and again, some things you just can't find anywhere else. Something I like to check if they have (Amazon too) is the Micromachines Predator ship my mom didn't get when I asked for it, granted it was a tad expensive then, $40, but now, an unopened one is $3-400.Like this one.http://www.amazon.com/Machines-Predator-Warrior-Transport-Action/dp/B002MN297K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1282559813&sr=8-1This reminds me... somewhere I have some large, sealed buckets containing my Alien and Predator action figures from the mid '90s, and I had almost every Alien and Predator. Think I was only missing the rare Predator chief, and the Bull alien and rare queen set for them....Almost all of those were collected via eBay. Robert Monroe
I only got Ebay'd once. I bought a pretty damn cool looking Zartan figure (GIJooooooooe), for 5 bucks. A steal! Never came. I kept emailing the guy, and he kept making excuses. Can't be too mad though because 5 dollars.Wish I had that Zartan though.
MeestaRyan
I've never used it because I don't really trust it I guess. I like amazon, though. I bought two wavebird gamecube controllers and they came in like, two days in perfect condition. So ya. I'm more of an amazon person.

True or not i don't use eBay much anyway.

Unfortunatly some people realy expected a real guitar with a £10 CD.

If he's sold over 100 items, and has 100% positive feedback, I would buy from him. In saying that though, I have bought from eBay sellers with a 80% positive feedback but I've wanted the item so bad, I bought it anyway. It still arrived. I guess that it varies from seller to seller. Some people have real excuses and try to do their best, others are just asswipes. You really need to check over what people have said about the seller before you think about buying from him/her. It usually answers those doubts at the back of your mind.
