Krystal is the Pink Power Ranger?

I just realized something. Doesn't the cloud runner from Star Fox Command look similar to the pterodactyl zord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers?

Look at the two and see for yourself:

Also note that Krystal's suit is pink:

Coincidence?

Hmm... They Do look a bit similar to one another... But I highly doubt the Concept artist's at Nintendo had the Design in mind when Working Krystal's Ship in command.

You sure? They are both from Japan. XD Over there Super Sentai (Power Rangers) is a blend of other inspired shows and super heroes. Whats not to say Nintendo was in the same cultural blend?

from what I have been told Japan loved mecha a lot. A bit too much if you ask me.

Judging by their similarities, the only difference I see -- besides the color scheme -- would be the angle of the wings.  The Cloudrunner's is more lower while the zord is more upwards.

Also, Krystal would only need a spiffy helmet design of a cloudrunner but in pink like her suit if she were to be a super sentai, or power ranger.

She does have a Pink helmet in Star Fox Command:

But WITHOUT the Cornerian Force helmet.  I'm talking more of the lines of the power ranger's helmets resembling their zords.

You know I always thought Starfox needed more things that turned into other things.

The ones given to a certain shabby one-level boss don't count.

Alot better... But still, I can't help but wonder why Nintendo would make the change in the first place.

Well considering Super Sentair originates in Japan and Star Fox is SUPPOSED to be known for its TONS AND TONS of jokes and references, its possible.

Super Sentai goes all the way back to 1975.  They based the first season of MMPR off of Zyuranger (which btw is 10 times better then MMPR).  Zyuranger had more adult humor and was pretty damn funny with the jokes and all that.  If people thought MMPR weren't good for kids when it came out then Zyuranger may have ended up being rated pg-13 at times. :P

Yeah, I know Super Sentai is old as dicks.

As for whats better, I prefer the stupidly campy charm of MMPR.

I know I'm :offtopic: here, but Power Rangers and Super Sentai remind me of Titan Maximum AE, in fact, Titan Maximum AE makes fun of Super Sentai, I believe...

Actually yeah it was, considering the first Red Ranger (Jason) was white, and when they changed the Black and Yellow rangers from Zack and Trini, they avoiding hiring an African and an Asian in the same roles to avoid negative stigma, which was when they introduced the new red Ranger (Rocky), who was native American.

Funny isn't it.
