Falcory
........Came out YESTERDAY!So I know there must have been a few people who bought it. What do you think? Personally I think it's the best Metroid game yet. Team Ninja really knocked this one outta the park. They should team up with Nintendo more often! (Hint hint, next Starfox game)
Guest Julius Quasar
I'd love to play it, if I had a copy of the game (and a Wii).
Robert Monroe
Ignoring X-play's review of it (dohohoh implying xplay is a legitimate reviewer anymore), the reviews have been largely favorable. Some corny acting that grates some nerves but otherwise highly polished and exciting old school styled gameplay with nice current gen bells and whistles. Dublinthefox
I preordered my copy and got it yesterday. I'm not gonna spoil anything, but to be honest...I'm liking it. Playing it horizontally kind of hurts my thumb though.
Steve
Most reviews said that the game is kinda sluggish because it has so many cut scenes...it's funny because if we look back into all those reviews that complain about the fact that Nintendo does nothing for story telling we will notice a pretty good pattern of hate .I do agree that the game could have been better with a nunchuck implemented, this is mere speculation from videos and gameplay I have seen. I surely hope it DOES work fantastic with only the wii remote. The only thing that I find really silly is the fact that samus has everything in her arsenal but can't use anything due to the commander being a prick. I would have preferred the old fashion get everything from scrap.
Falcory
Most reviews said that the game is kinda sluggish because it has so many cut scenes...it's funny because if we look back into all those reviews that complain about the fact that Nintendo does nothing for story telling we will notice a pretty good pattern of hate .This is one reason why I don't really give a hoot about what reviewers say. They just like to bitch. I do agree that the game could have been better with a nunchuck implemented, this is mere speculation from videos and gameplay I have seen. I surely hope it DOES work fantastic with only the wii remote.I have to admit I was skeptical about that too, (Just like I'm skeptical about the Wii Motion plus will affect Skyward Sword) but honestly the game plays fine without it. For those who played Prime 3, it may take a little getting used to but that's all. The controls are pretty solid. The only thing that I find really silly is the fact that samus has everything in her arsenal but can't use anything due to the commander being a prick. I would have preferred the old fashion get everything from scrap.^Okay yeah this. The game is good not gonna lie, but that is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. In honesty there are certain segments in the game that are pretty dicy and you'll find yourself saying: "Why the hell can't I use this now?". Samus DOES actually have to wait till Adam gives the order, which in real life I doubt an INDEPENDENT Bounty hunter would do.Adam actually gives an explanation for the reason of it though. He states at one point that Power Bombs were powerful enough to kill humans from a near enough radius. So he wants weapons authorized under his command. But 2 things wrong with that. One: Grapple beams and Speed boosters are not really weapons so it doesn't make sense to restrict those items among others. I mean even the Varia suit is resricted. How the hell can that hurt somebody EXCEPT Samus if she DOESN'T wear it in heat areas? Two: Samus isn't part of the Galactic Federation Army. Even if she may be there to help, if some situation calls for it she shouldn't take bullcrap like that and risk being killed over authorization. This made Samus look a little bit like a wimp in my eyes, but for those who play the game you'll find out she has her reasons.
Robert Monroe
Samus trusts and respects Adam, though, so yeah. Only the Varia suit makes no sense, because the Speed Booster IS a weapon. One that will disintigrate most people who run into it.
MeestaRyan
I got this today at g-stop and I didn't even pre-order. Ha. Ya. I still got an art booklet too. (not that it's that great but still.) I'm relatively new to the metroid series and so far I'm enjoyin the game.

MeestaRyan
I've been playin it, and it's fun 'n' stuff, but all I can think about is how much better it could've been if you could use a control stick like the nunchuck or something. The goddamn d-pad is horrible! It hurts my thumb after a little while. . D pads only work for side scrollers.

Ridley looked kind of odd though. He didn't look as skinny as he is in the games. That's actually how he looks in Other M. Plus his odd look has an explanation. But I won't say why because of spoilers.

Star Fox Runner
Nobody knows. the game has only been out for 3 days. We'll know soon enough.I'm close to the end already, and I believe that I know what the Other M means. I'm not gonna say because it would bring out massive spoilers.Anyway, I am LOVING this game! Gameplay is tight, voice acting is well done, and the cutscenes are very polished. I admit the game has it's flaws, like the transition between first person and third is a little rough. The gameplay still has the Metroid exploration feel, but like Metroid Fusion, it's very linear. All in all, it's a very good game!

ndf
The story, though it can be hokey at times, ties in nicely to Fusion. Also, I love how they stuck Nightmare and Phantoon in there.
