Wonderful series. Anyone like to play it? Debate tiers? Discuss awesome characters?

I love these games with a passion. Got started on Sacred Stones, then moved on to play all the GBA and up ones. I've played a bit of FE5, and am currently working on FE4. After I got into the series, I joined several FE boards and debated tiers and such.

Played the series since the US's first game. Its what got me into emulation. I've played and beaten most the entire series, and continue to play them today.

I do love playing them, although I tend to stick more with FE 9 and 10. More than playing, though, I love debating the tier lists.

I used to do the tier shit back a few years ago.

Now I just give no single fvck and use whoever I just like. Tier lists and stat averages can destroy friendships (I have seen this happen ), and a real master of the games can get through using even the worst of characters.

Oh, I definitely don't follow the tier lists. I've done several bottom tier playthroughs, and I always use Ross in Sacred Stones.

And as long as everyone it civil, the debates go perfectly fine. In my opinion, anyone who would end a friendship based on simple discussion of who's better than who probably shouldn't be my friend in the first place.

I once hung around the biggest FE english forum on the net: Fire Emblem Sanctuary of Strategy. They lived up to the name. Strategy was SERIOUS BUISNESS. This made a lot of ego-crashing debates arise whenever you showed interest in "lower" characters. They eventually stopped, but damage had been done.

Sadly, FESS is long gone now. I occasionally see the leftovers in Serenes' Forest though.

FESS? Of course you had bad experiences with tiers! That place was horrible about that. Still, Serenes' Forest usually ends up being pretty good about it. I do recall Superbus, who was previously an FESS admin or something, coming in and bitching about the tiers. I made a parody topic, lulz were had, and they both got locked.

Of course, until Superbus complained, no one had a problem with it.
