Dr. Wilopolis
Give out video game trivia! Tell things you think noone else knows! Whether it be StarFox, or any other Video game! My list of things: In the Japanese version of Paper Mario 2, Vivian was actually a boy! Most of the Instant Kills in Guilty Gear are non-canon. With the exception of Magnum Opera, Napalm Death, and few others. Guilty Gear has TONS of references to heavy metal bands and songs. Grodus from PM2 actually said "Frikkin' Mario..." in the Japanese version. That's a few I remember at the moment.
Guest Grimloq
Freespace 2 has two audio bloopers in one of the media VPs Descent 3 is rumoured to have a 'secret level' accessible by the code 'deadmanwalking'. Descent 3 also has a 'hellion baby' bot which is never used in the game and also, if put in, does nothing. Descent 3's 'Black Pyro' model is actually purple, and is fittingly named 'PurplePyro.oof' There is no death animation for the legendary Halo 2 'Flood Juggernaut'. Krystal does not, in fact, have a thong, contrary to popular belief. In Haegemonia: Legions of Iron, Admiral Codiaque orders a space monster destroyed because it was 'Huuuuuuuge and disgusting!' Deus Ex 2's ladder code is funky and includes such features as the one I like to call 'Randomly shooting from the top of the ladder to the bottom repeatedly for absolutely no reason and then being thrown so high the falling damage is considerable' and the one where you can climb up a ladder from three feet away. DZComposer
The opening music of Star Fox 64 sounds a whole lot like the opening music from Jurassic Park.
Kal
Krystal does not, in fact, have a thong, contrary to popular belief. False. It's too thin to be a strip of fur, but it runs down her leg a little (you can see that with the Zoom Goggles). Ergo, it's a thong on top of fur. Besides, it's not like Rare would do something so heinous as put a thong in their game. :P

I may also question why you were looking at this so intently. If that was a pun, I WILL hunt you down...

Fox P McCloud
Earthbound has many referrences to the book "Gulliver's Travels". Also, their are several referrences to real world things...many of which are hidden extremely well. Also in Earthbound, there is a secret item obtainable only through gameshark...it's a VHS of Earthbound 2...of course you can't watch it, it's just there. Dr. Wilopolis
Faust in Guilty Gear possibly is a reference to the 'Dark Doctor Faust', and if I remember correctly, it is an old German legend. Faust is also named for the drummer of the Norweigan black metal band, Emporer, Bard "Faust" Eithun.
Master Jal
In Perfect Dark you play as Joanna Dark and in one of the levels you meet a person called Johathan Dark. Something rare forgot to take out? O.o

Faust (pronounced "fowst") is the titular character in a play by Goethe in...ah, 1500s, I think...Basically, Dr. Faust sells his soul to Mephistopholes in order to literally experience everything the world has to offer. 2. Wait...Guilty Gear makes metal allusions?! NO WAI!

Also, in the game, Rudora no Hihou, there is a reference to Monty Python. In Horn Cave in Surlent's quest, after receiving the holy robes, you encounter Dune, and he shouts 'NO ONE EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!!!!'. This leads to some humorous retorts.

Dark Fox
the following games that nintendo has use some code they got from rare: Starfox 64 LOZ: Ocerina of time MarioKart 64 and a few others...... had somthing to do with a graphics rutine that Rare made so well for thier upcoming n64 game line-up, that nintendo bought it, 'cus it went a tad faster then the same one in the sdk...... not shure where I learnd that I've also heard said code is responsible for some of the graphics glichtes you see in those games..... edit: nintendo found out later, to thiere delight, that games using this code need a lot more power to emulate effectivly then the normal code...... DZComposer
Star Fox 64 was built in an expiramental way. The way the files related to eachother, particularly in the sound area, was a bit different than any other N64 game. Because of this, SF64's sound doesn't emulate properly and also sound can't be dumped from a ROM with the currently available tools. According to what I had read, Star Fox 64 is the only game built this way. If the game doesn't emulate correctly on the Rev's N64 emulator, I wonder which Ninty will change? The game or the emulator? I also wonder how long it will take the hackers to crack whatever protection scheme there is on the Rev to allow it to play ROMs you may already have. (say... SF2?) Yes must admit that, in order to make it compatible, they would have to rewrite it.... It actually wasn't that well programmed, B/c some releases of the N64 seem to have more troble with it than others, not shure why, but it dose seem to love game sharks, you can't harly crash it with one, no matter what you do.......like a code that causes it to accept the ex pack memory addresses......made it go a little faster, and better..... XG Fox
-The beta-version of Rainbow Road in Mario Kart 64 is now the actual Rainbow Road track in Mario Kart DS. And speaking of Mario Kart Rainbow Road... did you know that the Rainbow Road actually USED in Mario Kart 64 made a cameo appearance in F-Zero X under the same name? It was still called Rainbow Road, and for all those that have played it probably know what it's like to boost off the beginning jump at insane speeds and fly through the air all the way to the other side of the hill. It's the exact same track, but obviously in F-Zero X you're going a heck of a lot faster... try drifting those turns at 900+ km/h... not easy, but insanely fun when you get em right. ArwingMaster
In the Japenese version of "Fire Emblem" (or FE7 in Japan) Lucius was a girl. She was changed to a guy in the American version, why? I don't know. But the Japenese version does say "she".... For those who have played the Tales series (Tales of Eternia, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Symphonia, etc.) Almost every town/ summon spirit has deep roots in Norse mythology Sonic the Hedgehog was originally intended to be a rabbit. Speaking of changes (although I'm sure you know this one) Fox McCloud was originally supposed to be a sparrow. Roy, from SSBM and Fire Emblem 6, made his first apperance in SSBM! He was a character from FE6, but SSBM was released first, making SSBM his debut.
Fox P McCloud
In Star Fox 64, your pay (in "sp$") was based up your number of points times 64. That's not surprise, Nintendo incorporated that number into a lot of their games. Gee, I wonder why?
Kal
You sure about that Lucius thing? I seem to remember Bartre hitting on him in the US version: Bartre: [Hey, good-looking. You wanna come over to my tent tonight? ;D] Lucius: But...I'm...a man. [long awkward silence] Come to think of it, almost all of Bartre's supports were pretty damn funny.
Dr. Wilopolis
After a bit of investigating, I discovered Faust is Chinese! Slayer from Guilty Gear never unleashes his true fighting ability. Of course, most would know that. However, it's believed he is even stronger than Dizzy! Quote as proof: "Necro had to unleash his full potential.... What is this man?!" -Dizzy's Arcade Mode victory quote against Slayer.
