Sapphire
Hello homies, friends, amigos of mine here on SFO. I come to discuss Voice Acting. Including ones on Video Games, Television, and internet projects. But the one I the one I want to focus on is internet projects. I like to be apart of BIG things, so I wanted to find out, how do I find a project to voice act on? What will I need to do voice acting, and are there any projects that need voice acting that anybody knows of.

Kid_Cortet
I really dont understand what you're trying to say there Mike West was the voice actor for Fox McCloud and several other Star Fox characters for the N64 game
Guest Mr. Mario
Don't you think it's about time Krystal got a new voice actress? Companies need to give Alesia Glidewell a break here....
"User"
Don't you think it's about time Krystal got a new voice actress? Companies need to give Alesia Glidewell a break here....Why is that? I'm sure Alesia appreciates the business and the more she can add to her resume the better no?
Guest Mr. Mario
Why is that? I'm sure Alesia appreciates the business and the more she can add to her resume the better no?Well, considering it's been at least 6 years since she started voice acting...how many games has she been in to voice certain characters? More than 20 games. And it's usually the replacement actress for a character (Left 4 Dead 2, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Condemed, F.E.A.R). Wouldn't there be better way for her to at least take breaks in awhile? Compare to Charles Martinet who voices Mario, he is like Nintendo's puppet, whenever there's a Mario game, there's always Charles Martinet...every year. Alesia at least doesn't have to voice Krystal for EVERY Star Fox (Command, though there really wasn't any voice acting other than yourself.) or Metroid game...(Prime series, Other M)
"User"
I'd still rather have the same individual voice the same character as long as possible. Why would I want a character with like....a different sounding voice every game? Furthermore, you see this ALL the time with cartoon series having the same voice actors for MANY years. That's just my preference.

Redeemer
Okay, before this topic becomes all about Krystal, which (let's face it) is very likely, let me butt in here.I don't know of anyone that needs a voice actor, but what you could do, Robcot, is look up on Google a forum about voice acting or internet cartoons. As around there and you're sure to get somewhere.

As around there and you're sure to get somewhere. That's true. It's just it's always been something I'd like to do, but I've never really wanted to take the many many many many many years of Drama club in high school. I watched a behind the scenes thing on Avatar: The Last Airbender (The Cartoon) and just thought of how cool it would be. I liked this idea after I realized how similar I can make my voice sound to Knuckles off of Sonic. (Sonic Heroes) Whenever he says "Hey come on now, don't do it Sonic!", I can sound just like that. And pretty much everything else Knuckles says in this game 2:14 on this video.
Dublinthefox
I've always had an idea into going into voice acting. I have an uncanny talent for using different accents and voices. Maybe if some flash animator needs a voice actor they can ask me.

Sabre
I dont have a problem with voice actors being prolific, the only possable exception being Nolan North because he plays the same guy in almost everything he's in. While not a voice actor, that guy from firefly always plays that guy from firefly. I liked ODST, but the cast was rookie, romeo, dude from firefly, mickey. Kind of jarring. That said, I didn't notice that he voiced the namless marines in the previous games, so that's something.

Sapphire
Yes she is. Cool beans. I can't really seem to find a place where I can show how I can show off how similar I sound like Knuckles from Sonic Heroes. I don't even think I got the equiptment to record my voice clearly. Suggestions?

Falcory
PoF (Paths of Fate) A Starfox fan game was in dire need of VA's not to long ago. Sadly that project is nearly dead. You may want to check SoL (Shadows of Lylat) Robo but that project seems a little slow going as well. Basically though you should keep an eye and ear out for people who make flash projects. (Like Starfox the Animated Series) People are usually looking for VA's in their flash animations andflash projects are a dime a dozen over the interwebz. Now about the Krystal thing, I'm not sure WHY she would need a break, considering that IS her job. Saying as such is implying you want her to be out of work temporarily. And on a side note, Alesia probably should have voiced Samus in Other M. Jessica Martin wasn't bad, but Alesia's voice just had the sexy and sultry voice-the kind of voice I imagine Samus would have.
sjrathbun812
I wish I had a good mic. Every time I blow into it, it makes a big *PHOOOPH* and it's really annoying seeing as how when you talk, air blows out of your mouth! And I don't really know what kind of mic to look for.....Go figure. :|
