Fox News because one if it's slogans is "Fair and Balanced".  And of course, I definitely want fair and balanced news. Most people who seem to complain about Fox are online Internet users (who are 95% liberal/socalist/under 30 years old) so I just tune them out most of the time.

*Waits for the Fox News haters to jump in*

And of course, if you haven't figured it out already, I'm being sarcastic with the neutrally of Fox

Obviously.  Furries like foxes, Firefox, and other things involving the word "Fox" so Fox News is where all furries go to get their reliable, trustworthy information. :)

I like Fox News locally. Just not Fox News on a national perspective. It's a weird case that the local casting is actually pretty actually fair, balanced, here bringing more detail on both sides of the coin. Actually I would dare say it's almost gives more information about liberals and conservatives locally than a lot of other local channels.

The national Fox News though is the one I have a problem with.

American news programs are insane with fear mongering, they are bad in britain, but the us is in a completly different league.

I may enjoy Fox News, but I still don't trust it 100%, nor do I trust ANY news sources...problem is, there's the truth *frowns and shakes head* and there's...*in a phony sounding happy voice* "THE TRUTH!" *smiles and nods*

You said it.

(I heard about that....ugh)  I'm tired of hearing Bill O' Riley talk about "Bill O' Reilly"...and Greta Von Sustren creeps me the hell out.  I run out of the room screaming and going apeshit crazy with fear whenever her ugly bo-toxed mug appears.

But I consider Fox News the general lesser of the news evils.

And who would that be? That Egyptian businessman? There are multiple players involved in the funding of this thing and I believe the ownership as well.

Also to my knowledge (and correct me if I'm wrong) but a lot of the funding is foreign and the people who are involved in the construction of the mosque are refusing to say where their $100 million funding is going to come from.

I voted "Other."

Sadly, the best US news is reported by foreign news agencies, such as the BBC, RT, and Al Jazeera.

The death of the fairness doctrine and the rise of media conglomerates were the death in truth in news media.

I get my political commentary, however, from MSNBC and XM America Left. But, political commentary is NOT news. Fox News claims to be news, but they are all political commentary. CNN/HLN are mostly news, but it still has slant. MSNBC is also largely political commentary, but at least they come right out and say it.

That's why I like CBC, even if it slants more to the left but that's typical of Canadians in general compared to their American counterparts.

I once heard that one of the big american companies created a controvertial channel/show so that it's own news programs would have something to report on.

It's called "Reality TV," and NBC, Fox, CBS, and ABC all do it.

Well, as the UC Berkley grads used to tell me "It's no so much important as reading the news, as it is READING BETWEEN THE LINES!"

They said the same about TV and internet news too... :P

Honestly, I can't stand Fox News, the network at the very least. Local channels I can swallow but once things go national people start getting facts wrong.

Because we all know that ancient Egypt is now present-day Iraq and the West Bank is independent (though it should be, but that's for another thread).
