Well, it always warms my heart when people do spell things correctly.  I have a spell checker built into my internet browser, so I'm good for spelling at least.

Me too, that's why I almost never make mistakes.

This is all very necessary. Grammar and the Internet are both serious business. Put them together? The world might explode.

Guys and Gals. Judging by your spelling and grammar, it looks  you've lived long enough to realize that people in society will not change

on how they write... If they prefer to make themselves look like a  retard in front of everybody and be illiterate, let em.

As long as you don't do it your fine. If you like doing it, then do it.  People now days won't use grammar that links up to your level.. You've experienced

this long enough to realize that.  I admit people's grammar are off and it is annoying to see  "UR AND R" in text messages

and notes, but its what they're accustomed to. You can't change that person from getting rid of a bad habit like that..

Hell I still have the habit of making my Grammar like that.

I don't think anyone here actually thinks this topic is going to make a difference in how the uneducated masses write. Still, it can be nice to have a topic to rant about said uneducated masses.

Well, I really didn't expect this to cause a big debate over how people felt others should type/write, and/or how they get annoyed by it, but it's whatever floats all of your boats.

I just started this because it was causing a major pain in the neck and a "punch in the back of the head" situation for me because I really came close to pulling my hair out from their roots this week due to the over extent of misspelling.  Hence, I DO make mistakes, but I'm the kind of person who let's people check my mistakes for me and I learn from it.  But, I plan on changing that soon before I'm off to college (Woohoo!)

I know the feeling. There's a small group of people where I'm from who are actually competent, and all of them write our school newspaper. Even then, the vast majority of people who signed up to do it were turned away because they blew massive amounts of butt.
