Again, do explain why, Kursed. Rules are necessary for order and for people to get the most out of this, and the rules are very lenient as is. Just a few guidelines to avoid the drama last topic made, they don't ask of much from the players.

Kursed, this is not a rule per say. It is what we are going with, and everyone who is interested in this seems okay with it. And newcomers will probably only have one character anyways. We just want to hear your reason as to why -you-, not anyone else, dislike it, and don't want it there.

Yes, we can do this. We can add more if we can handle them. Cortet just nicely summed up again the reason for the limit in the first place.

Kursed...all we are asking is your opinion on why you don't like this, we are not saying you are wrong for thinking it, if you say why you disagree, it'll be put onto the table so that we can come one step closer to solving the issues. As some have said, the rules are not meant to hinder us from rping, just trying to sort through the chaos the Hotel had. We are trying to keep every ones best interest in mind, also trying to make the rp more acceptable for all people, new and old.

The LLH was never designed to actually be a casual, stickied RP, and that could've been a potential problem with it's organization.  We're trying to fix most of those previous problems currently .  If that means going by majority vote, then we will.  Three simultaneously is really enough for almost everyone.  Plus, you can swap the three out that you're playing.  How many characters would you play if you suggested a different/no limit Kursed?

As I read farther back, 2 GMs sounds like the best course of action, as it makes it easier to "moderate".  For canon characters, we could axe them, as a distinct, FC RP is probably the best way to go, but if anyone is willing to play them, then it's fine to keep em'.

A town RP would be good.

Rotate your FC's in and out, and guns shouldn't be used too often, unless on a designated "Target/Shooting Range" or in some self defense situations that aren't "Brawls".

As for FC's it was always great because your character could come in and out; interact with everyone, etc.

People who want to be a GM, post if you do, and give some qualities you have and what not. I could care less. I know Kage wants to run, so he will post his reasons and stuff later.

And as for Canon characters; Does anyone REALLY care if they are not in it? I mean, unless there is an issue, just axe them.

I also think it'd be best to axe them, or at the very least reduce them to NPCs.  It just sounds most immersive to just have all our FCs interacting as normal people in an extraordinary world. Involving the heroes of the galaxy just... eh...

That's my opinion, though.

And I suppose I'll run for GM. I have the time and tenacity to make sure the guidelines are upheld, yet laid back enough to not go all overbearing on whatever we all wanna do. I only go gung-ho when it's called for, ergo, troublemakers when they appear.

Yes. So here is a list of the rules as I understand them so far. Correct me on anything I have wrong/missed.

-GM and a side GM with the time and effort to keep things running. Who they are is yet to be determined

-fights are allowed, but only fights that would be feasible in a place as public as this. This means no guns or running to space and dogfighting. Also be aware that fights will not last long due to security reasons, so if you want a big, long fight, this RP is not the place to do it.

-It will take place in a supercomplex. Maps of this place would be nice by anyone motivated to draw them. (I would, but I hardly know what a supercomplex consists of)

-3 PCs per person. It's still undecided whether or not canon characters are NPC or not.

-As of right now, it should have little connection to the LLH. This is to avoid alienating new people and to take measures against having this fall into what was making the Hotel such a problem to everyone.

Well, everything but the super complex, maybe a town instead, and maybe a little use of weaponry, but other than that, it's good.

A simultaneous character limit, with substitutions/switch outs is okay IMO.

Well, even in a town, the use of weapons is risky. Usually, you're not allowed to assault someone with a weapon, not to mention that could cripple/even kill a character. Is this what we want?

And as discussed, a town might be a little big for an RP centered around interaction.

As for the town, okay then, maybe that could be too big.  What kinda super complex should be used, something like "Sim Tower" or something like that?

Imagine it as a super mall and such.

This is another case that kinda got brought up in the hotel. It is like, you can do what you want, but within reason of the scenary. Like, the hot tubs on the top of the hotel. That is within reason. Being able to buy weaponry there, that was to much of a stretch. So things like that and such.

Because that... severely limits the characters who can be involved. I personally do not like that idea at all.

Sounds more suited to a regular RP.
