Guest Mr. Mario
Well since usully horror is my favorite kind of video game genre, I came across and noticed F.E.A.R & F.E.A.R 2 plus a upcoming title called F.3.A.R (F.E.A.R 3).First I would like some recommendations, is this game series really that scary? Which F.E.A.R game is the best?I also heard Alesia Glidewell voices someone I forgot in F.E.A.R 2. (But that doesn't mean I ain't getting it fast because it has her!) Guest Para Astaroth
Well, although it is dated, F.E.A.R 1 is probably where you should start off to get a feel for the franchise, but F.E.A.R Extraction Point is the most action packed and freakiest. But, there is Perseus Mandate which focuses mainly on making you shit in your pants and piss all over the floor with it's loud screaming and roaring of hilucinations.F.E.A.R. 2 wasn't all THAT scary, but if you played it at night by yourself with the lights off, it could make you jump a bit and/or make you say on several occasions, "What the f***??!?!" F.E.A.R. 3 will mostly be focusing on two main characters: One seeking revenge and other for retribution. I, personally, can't wait to play as the guy seeking revenge since they BOTH are being somewhat provoked by Paxton Fetal. (You'll know Paxton and having him being referenced A LOT in every one of the F.E.A.R. games.) But, all in all, I recommend you play the first one since it started it all with the freakishly scary/weird hilucinations. The one that got me going was when I was down in a tunnel and I reached dead end, and I picked up a health increaser, then I your character's equipment on screen starts to fitz a little, you see a shadow of a little girl dart by behind you, and you hear her giggle. I was like, ".....Whoooaaa... THAT was creapy..." because I had all my lights off and my parents were asleep, plus I had special headphones where you had the sound from the tv play through the speakers in the headset. It was... Quite nerve wrecking with the headset on while playing Perseus Mandate. NEVER will I forget those roars and screams from that game.... UGHHH!!! Sabre
It depends what you want gameplay wise. The reason Fear 2 isn't as scary as Fear 1 is because it's mostly the same scares.Gameplay wise fear 1 was more tactical and thus better on PC. If you are on a console I say get fear 2. If you're on a PC I say start with 1.A word of warning, only fear 1 and 2 are canon, the rest aren't, but are well worth playing.A really good looking and super clever and charming guy did fear as one of his first video reviews. It's very rough around the edges, but might be worth watching. (It's me, if you didn't know)
