"Haha, I've been BORN ready!", the male vulpine replied with an extreme enthusiasm.  This was easily one of his specialties.  All he had to do now is wait for the signal to start, and he'd be back in a jiffy.

"Annnnnnnnnnnddddd,...." The vixen stated, looking at it, then pressing the trigger all of a sudden. "GO!" She shouted, knowing it would not be long.

"I wish I were that good", the older canine replied with a light chuckle as he set the "phone" (if you could call it that by today's standards) on the table.  "I was part of the marketing and P.R. team for the company that made these; FX&X Communications; they've long since gone out of business.  This was one of the earlier display models, the E810", he neatly finished up, sliding the device over to his newfound company for examination.

The wolf took a look at it, then took it in his hands and further examined it with an intrigued look on his face. "This is pretty cool. I take a liking from past items and such like this." He said, his tail lightly swishing from side to side as this peaked his interest. "Does this still work?" He asked, looking back up the the dog again.

"It's great to see intrigue with the past held in kids today, eh?", the canine chuckled to himself, hearing the new query.  "It does work, but since the proprietary battery used is long gone, you'll have to make use of this", he replied, opening the briefcase just barely enough to remove a small item.  It was a crank of sorts, with a cable attached to it.  "You can plug it in at the bottom, and turn the crank to provide power", he revealed with a smile.

Ryn wasn't even looking at her watch. She kept watching the vulpine as she sighed happily. "He's my dork." She said to herself, checking him out. Then, her womanly instincts kicked in as she looked around and made sure that there weren't other girls checking him out. She might have been slender as a fox, but she was tough as a grizzly, especially when it came to people getting in between her and her man.

"Heh, that is pretty neat." Gearhart replied, taking it, and placing it in as he started cranking to get a feel of it. "Wow... Say, what's your name?" He questioned. "I am Gearhart, sorry for not introducing myself earlier." He said with a smile.

Within moments, the male was on his way back toward the table, expertly balancing two trays in his hands as he briskly made his way back toward his waiting mate.  "Guess that high-school waiter job eventually did pay off", he joked to himself as he eventually made it across the large area and back to their sitting area.

"Nice to make your acquaintance Gearhart, I'm Maxworth Vega III, but I normally go by just Max to avoid the frustration", Max replied with a slight chuckle.  He quickly glanced down at the briefcase, and then back to his company.  "You wouldn't happen to know if the on-site extended-stay accommodations would happen to have rent-able safety-deposit-boxes, would you?"

"Not your best time, but thirty seconds is still great." the vixen replied, smiling calmly as she stood, and hugged him from behind. She started sniffing the air, smiling as she did. "So what did you get us to eat, babe?" She asked, playing with the fur on the back of his neck; a classic way for her to usually pass the time.

Gearhart sorta blinked for a second, and then shook his head with a nod. "Oh, yeah. I am actually here on extended stay myself. I am pretty sure they do, I mean, it would be a little silly if they didn't." He said and smiled. "Do you happen to know where I could get a phone like this? I mean, a manually charging battery sounds actually quite helpful." He reasoned. And plus, it was pretty cool in his mind. He wouldn't mind holding onto one.

"Damn, I'm getting slower", the male joked as he set the two trays down on the table and allowed her to continue to use his fur as an object of occupation.  "I decided to go with something classic; they apparently recently opened several themed restaurants over on the west side of the food court, and I brought back a sampler platter consisting of various dishes from each."

After a quick consideration, Max pulled the suitcase back onto the table and unlatched it once again, removing a medium-sized box from it and sliding it toward Gearhart.  "I've got a couple more of these things laying around that I was planning to sell, but you can take this one, it's on the house", he replied with a slight smile.  "My van's full of these and other things much to obsolete to be of any use, I've been looking for places to get rid of em' ".

"Mmm, sounds wonderful..." She said, still fixated on his fur as she kept twirling it around and around. And this was usual. Her ADD loved focusing on this a lot when the two had time to themselves. She soon pulled off and sat down as she looked a the food presented. "Hmm, I'll try this one." She said, taking a burrito and nomming into it a littler, her tail idly swishing from side to side as it pleased her.

"Really?" He asked, his tail becoming a tad active as this really got his attention. "I don't mind buying some things off of you. I mean, if they are as cool as this, you will be getting a cool pay day." He said with a chuckle and smile. "I think some of my friends wouldn't mind some things to have and tinker with too."

"Hehe, if it's that good to you, then it must be damn fine!", her mate joked while carefully selecting what he was going to sample first.  Eventually, he went straight to a sandwich of sorts; he had no idea what was inside of it though.

"Now this was something I wouldn't have expected", Max replied with an earnest feeling of surprise.  "Tell you what....I'll bring my car up next to the east entrance right over there, and you can see all the stuff that has been taking up space in my trunk", he offered with a small chuckle, hoping that Gearhart would find something of interest.

The vixen kept nomming on it, holing it close to her as she ate at it, a small rumbling sound coming from her stomach as she did. "Guess I am hungrier than I thought!" She giggled, continuing to eat. She also knew she had to eat fast. If her mate lost track of things again, she would be left without food. The thought made her chuckle.

"Huh, sure thing, yeah." Gearhart replied with a nod. He stood up, and tossed his empty drink the trash, and kept his newspaper on the table as he stretched a tiny bit. "Where should I wait for you?"

"Someone is almost as hungry as I am", the male joked, noting the rapid rate at which his companion was putting away food.  He was quite relieved that everything had went quite well, and that she enjoyed the food.

"You could wait right outside the East entrance doors, I'll be right there", Max replied as he stood up and excused himself, going to the parking lot to retrieve his van.

She chuckled, and patted her mate's stomach playfully. "Except that I on the other hand am keeping myself in shape better." She joked. His sixpack was still there, she just liked toying with him. "I still love you even if you are flabby though."

The wolf nodded, and smiled. Huh... I wonder what sorta stuff he has... Gearhart thought, making his way over to the east entrance as he yawned, the coffee not waking him at all. "This should be good though."

"Hey, I'm not overweight, I'm just bigger than life itself", he replied with his ever-joking nature clearly showing through.  He slowly slunk down, resting his head and muzzle on the table, letting his tongue hang out slightly.  It had been a long day, and they still hadn't seen even a quarter of what the place had to offer.  To see everything, someone had to be here for over a month!

Max quickly arrived at his vehicle, making sure that everything was just how he had left it.  Satisfied with his quick inspection, he came up to the driver's side door, inserted the key, and turned.  He was used to nothing happening, and came prepared, producing a wire-coat-hanger and wedging it between the door and the frame of the vehicle, and wriggling it around.  Eventually, the door clicked open, and he was able to enter the rusted van, start the ignition, and begin moving toward the entrance.  The truck trundled along, with gunshot-like backfires sounding often.

The vixen, whose stamina was greater, if only by a little bit, than her mate's, saw the fox and chuckled as she scratched his head. "Awwww, if my little foxy tired?" She playfully asked, scooting close to him and rubbing his back now, enjoying how cute and cuddly the fox looked right now. "Does someone wanna take a break and head home? We can always come back tomorrow if we still want to." She said with a smile.

Gearhart was there at the east entrance now. He sat on the ground patiently as he waited for Max, knowing that the dog would be back soon. He easily heard the clunky old car, and folded his ears back as he looked in the direction it came from. "Is that it?" He questioned to himself, not really sure yet. He would just have to wait.

The older van eventually pulled up directly in front of Gearhart.  Much of the glass had been broken out, especially the head and taillight covers.  The paint color was nothing less than pure rust, and black smoke billowed steadily from the exhaust pipe.  The engine eventually stopped, and Max vacated the vehicle, shutting the door behind him.  "All of it's in the back", Max called to Gearhart, motioning for him to come around to the rear doors of the van.

Contrary to the outside of the vehicle, the inside was quite well organized.  In the rear of the van, several boxes of different sizes were stacked up carefully and meticulously.  "Those boxes consist of radios, televisions, microwaves, stereos, computer consoles, and quite a bit of other electronics are contained somewhere in there", Max relayed.

"Ha, now that was one of the best music-players back when it was first introduced.  The wood paneling and user interface was quite revolutionary!  At the time, nothing else had the multiple selector switch that this particular stereo module did", Max explained, elated that he was able to finally give all of his useless knowledge away.  "You can take it for 12 credits if you'd like."

Gearhart was surprised at this, smiling as he nodded, and took his wallet. "You bet." He said, getting out a ten, and two ones, then handing the canine the credits. He said, continuing to look for appliances that peaked his interest, or any that his friends might like to play around with.

"You should really go and make a small business buying and selling equipment like this. I think it would be pretty cool, especially for techno monkeys."

Vixie was listening intently to Kage's story, never interrupting him. As soon as he finished speaking she stood up and took a couple of steps to the exit. She stopped there and looked back at Kage. Her ears and tail drooped slightly when she spoke, "I'm not really sure what to say about this situation, but I will make an attempt to try and help you another way." She disappeared outside for a moment before coming back in. "Follow me," she says, "I've got an idea that may help."

Vixie guided him outside of the restaurant and toward the arcade. As she approached she turned and asked, "What kind of games do you enjoy?" She pulled out a few dollars and converted them into quarters using the change machine. As soon as she got the right amount she placed a few of them into Kage's hand. "Let's have some fun while we're here," she says with a grin, "right now you need a friend and I'll do my best."
