Zack wondered through the lobby thinking, "what should I do today."

mù Chiến stared at Star, not taking her eyes off her for a second. She then turned her back to Star and walked over to the girl whom she threw into the car and carried the unconscious body in her arms. She looked at Star one last time before walking off with a sigh of defeat and anger to follow it.

Star watched at the blind girl carried her friend out of the area, she then scratched her head

"ooooookaaaaay then" she said with a sigh. she turned to Kay and shook her head in irritation and confusion "i dont know what the hell THAT was about, i bet she gets TONS of friends THAT way" she snickered. She then collapsed onto her side of the bed, not from an injury, but from the stress she had encountered moments ago. she laid there, facing Kay and trying to calm the headache she had suddenly gotten.

"sorry to wake you up" she appologized

[Salem]

"I wounder how Star is doing since last month",Zack thought remembering the day they met, "almost like it was yesterday" he said to himself.

[Star_Dragon]

(Sorry this reply took so long - just got home from work not even fifteen minutes ago. Busy, busy day.)

"Hey," Kay said gently, "Don't worry about it." He reached a hand up to touch Star's head, calming her sudden headache. "I won't chastise you for merely waking me up - I love you too much to do something stupid like that." He nuzzled his nose on Star's, his eyes closed as he began to hum to the hymn of Under Cover of Night. But as he hummed, a single tear left his eye as, while he had his eyes closed, the radio began to play a song Kay had heard before. The song that seemingly always played to serve as a reminder of the day Cerinia fell.

"Crowded streets are cleared away, one by one; Hollow heels separate, as they run; You're so cold, keep your hand in mine - wise men wander while strong men die! Show me how it ends, it's alri--"

The song stopped abruptly as another tear fell and Kay gestured to the radio, switching to another channel to hear a more pleasant, relaxing tune play. No, he thought to himself, unsure if Star could detect how he felt. I won't be that way again. I've too much to lose if I revert back to that.

"kay......please dont cry" she said softly as she remembered the first time it played. That song tortured him by bringing up that horrible memory he tried to not go back to.

"you know i hate to see you upset like that.......i dont want you to have to go through it.....not again." she said, giving him a concerned look.

[Star_Dragon]

Kay looked into Star's eyes, the memory of seeing his friends vaporized as beams of plasma chased them up a street melting away. "The memories will fade in time, my love - and time is what I have a lot of. You know I love you, and you know that I will not hurt you by going back to the cynical b****rd I had been before I met you. I'd lose too much in reverting, and truthfully, Star, I'm not sure I would survive losing you. You were the only person who reached out to me; you saw the good person that others couldn't. You saw under the facade I had worn for so long - I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you."

The screams of his fellow Cerinians died away as he looked lovingly to Star. "I can look into your eyes, stare into them as my dragon self, and you remain undeterred - when the mere sight of my dragon form sends people running. And most of all, you had the heart to hear my cries of pain; you saw the scars that I carried - physical, mental, emotional, and psychological - and the hand to heal them. Because of you, I have what I thought I would never have again - a family. Because of you, the life that had been torn away from me, brutally and quickly, has been given back to me. The one responsible for the death of Cerinia is no more, her collective in chaos - and soon, eternally silent - and now, I can be at peace - with you.

"I love you," he concluded, "And I won't let anything take that away from me. I won't re-live Cerinia again... promise."

As Kay said the word "promise," he leaned over and kissed Star, gently and tenderly.

She listened to his heartfelt words and soon enough, he kissed her. She felt like she never wanted to be without him. She was finally happy. Angel walked in, carrying something in her hands

"whats this?" angel asked, holding out a double sided blade with a handgripper in the middle of the blades. Star looked at angel

"ah, that....." she said. She walked over to angel and took it, then started to spin it beautifully as a flag spinner would do, tossing it in the air and catching it behind her back, using one hand. She stopped spinning, no scratches or cuts on star to be seen (the people who start doing a series of spins with a flag on a pole is what i call a flag spinner)

"this was one of my favorite weapons i used in defence. I used this baby for many fights" she said, pushing a button and the blades retracted

"i used to have my own battle suit and attire, but i packed it away somewhere. Anyway, where did you find it?" star asked

"found it in one of the boxes in my closet....." angel stated

"ah.....well thanks" star said as angel left. She then walked back up to kay

"thank you kay, you made me feel happy....and i love you too" star said

[Star_Dragon]

Kay chuckled. "Reminds me of the Yaut'ja combistick I have somewhere," he remarked. He laid his head back down, closing his eyes with a sigh.

"The Cornerian Complex",the vulpine read out-loud 'sounds nice', he though to himself.

He then entered the lobby looking for the counter to rent a room.

Star watched as Kay fell asleep. she walked out of the room and shut the door quietly behind her, then walked into the living room and looked at Kyle and Anna

"im going to head to the complex to grab something for us to eat. ill be home in a little bit" she said. she grabbed her blaster and her retracted double bladed weapon and walked to the complex. but before she left, angel decided to join. Star closed the door behind her as she walked with angel to the complex. As they walked inside, she saw Zack.

"Zackary! It's been too long dude......i haven't seen ya for a while!" she said telepathically.

"Star!?!", Zack said looking around until he found her.

'it has been awhile', he said back telepathically

"indeed it has, whats up Zack?" she asked. as she stood there, Angel stared silently at Zack.

"you seem to have a pretty good life, being the son of Fox and Krystal, you resemble your father greatly ya know." Angel said telepathically, her ice blue eyes trained on him

"and being born on Sauria..........interesting. If you ask how i know all this? i wouldn't bother asking. i dont really trust you until i know you well" Angel added

[Salem]

"Nothing much",Zack replied back at Star.

'I can respect that, but how do you find me being born on Sauria interesting' Zack said telepathically to the other vixen

'not meaning to pry', he added.

"as i said, thats none of your concern now didnt i?" she said tellepathically in a stern tone

"ah, well im gunna go get something to eat, want to join? star asked

"though i might want to call the house phone and leave a message so Kay doesnt think im running off with another guy" she chuckled, taking out her cell phone

[Salem]

'ok.. ok no need to get stern just a little curious that's all',Zack said calmly

"Yeah sure Star, how about this lunch is on me for you and....",Zack stopped, face palmed and said

"hehe I'm sorry I didn't quite catch your name", Zack said a little embarrassed.

"angel......" Angel said, standing next to star

"alright ill call the house" star said. she dialed the number to the phone on her side of the bed on her nightstand. she waited for Kay to pick up

"is it alright is Kay joined us?" she asked

[Salem]

"It's a pleasure to meet you Angle",Zack said 'I'm sorry if we got off on the wrong foot at first', he added telepathically.

"Sure Star I don't mind", Zack replied 'I wonder who Kay is?' Zack thought to himself.

[Guest]

"alright ill call him" she said. she dialed the house phone number and waited for Kay to answer, as she waited, Angel spoke through telepathy

"Kay, is Star's lover......just to let you know. and he is very protective of her. your lucky she thought of asking him to come, or he would have his suspicions, it could get physical if he thought of you as a threat, though if he comes along and likes you, you will get along JUUUST fine. he's very nice"

[Star_Dragon]

The ringing phone startled Kay, and his heart beat like a trip-hammer as he answered Star's call. "H-hello?" he asked.

"hi Kay! hey i want to ask if you want to meet me at the complex and grab some lunch, i have a friend of mine with me and he said he would pay, though im going to pay it anyway, he said you can come if you'ed like" she said in a cheery tone.

"want to?" she asked

[Star_Dragon]

"Yeah, sure - just give me a minute to get my effects." Kay responded. After the Cerinian Dragon-Shifter got off the phone, he donned his camouflage clothes, strapped his holstered El-Aurian Disruptor to his side, nabbed his plasma katanas and his Yaut'ja shurikens and clipped them to his belt, and finally headed out. He found Star and asked, "Okay - where to?"

"Kay, this is Zack McCloud. Zack, this is Kyle Indari, but he likes to be called Kay" she said. she looked at kay

"not really sure, anything in mind?" she asked

[Salem]

"Pleasure to meat you Kay",Zack said as he stuck out his hand to shake.

[Guest]

"Zack here helped me fight a bit of an aparoid problem we had about a month ago" she said, touching the location of the scar from the wound that she had gotten on her left side. Star looked at Kay, soon hearing a familiar voice, only it was a thought.

" i have to get this just right......that b*stard ruined my chance last time, and he wont do it again" the man said.(and our favorite SOAB comes back into play) Star looked around with her enhanced eyesight, only to see a figure holding a grenade on one of the upper levels of the complex (hey they said in the rules "no guns" so i used grenades instead XD), he pulled the pin and threw it. as she saw him trow it, she screamed at Zack through telepathy

"GRAB ANGEL AND MOVE!" she screamed. She tackled Kay out of the explosion range and it hit the ground and exploded, making a nice hole in the floor. she sat up and looked at kay

"are you alright? im sorry i had to do that Kay, if i didnt, you would have been hurt, or worse." she said, tearing up abit from the thought of losing kay. Soon enough that sadness turned to pure rage against the assailant. Though her eyes DO change color, something was abit different about this shade of red. it was more like a deep blood red, though they have never been that shade before. the assailant soon ran from fear

"GET YOUR F*CKING A** BACK HERE YA SON OF A BI*CH! I WILL REND YOUR HEAD OF YOUR SHOULDERS!" she said as she took out the retracted double sided blade and pressed a button, causing them to come out again. She soon persued him, leaving Kay, zack, and angel behind. The assailant soon was in a dead end as star approached him, then stopped some distance away.

"well, long time no see sis" The assailant, damien, commented

"Kay warned you not to come back..........and you did. so im going to kill you PERSONALLY" she said, clenching her hand into a fist

"lets see about that" he said as he launched at her, and tried to punch her. when he got close enough and tried to hit her, she grabbed his fist and twisted it

"that..........was a mistake you will never make again" she said in a cold and solid tone. she then applied a Roundhouse kick to the gut, causing Damien to fall in pain, though he got back up. as he tried the roundhouse kick, she grabbed his foot right before it hit her and hit his kneecap, hard enough to break his leg. he fell, yelping in pain from when Star had broken his leg. Star then roundhouse kicked him in the head, causing a knockout. Although she had the perfect chance to kill him, she just stared at his unconscious body.
