"Holy sh!t what just happened?" Zack asked very confused, "lucky I had a jammer now quickly lets get rid of the...wait were did he go?!?" Zack said realizing the body of the assailant was gone.

(not to be a stickler but the reason I didn't have him die is because I don't want mods crashing down on us and locking this I mean

they said we could have action scenes if they didn't get this intense sorry if you really needed to kill him off but this isn't the place to do it

I mean I'm surprised we didn't get in trouble for the apparoids)

(ok on topic lol)

"Is every one ok", Zack asked every one making sure no one was hurt.

'that was him wasn't it Star?', Zack asked telepathically ,'I can't believe I helped his sorry ass', Zack added on a little annoyed.

"say another word about it and ill slit your throat" she snarled telepathically. She, unknown to them, had another personality even SHE didnt know about, that surfaced when she became overly protective. she wasnt herself at all, and would act like a whole new person.

"i dont want ANY of you to say ANYTHING about that low-life bas*ard, or i swear to god i wont hesitate to re-enact this battle on all of you" she said to everyone there telepathically in a cold and solid tone, her voice deeper than what is was a couple seconds ago.

"She sounds abit different then she used to be. something aint right" Angel said telepathically to kay and Zack

'Agreed, we should get her calmed down', Zack replied back to Angle telepathically but

very vivid to where Star couldn't pick up on the conversation.

"No argument here Star lets just calm down and get lunch a good meal could probably help",Zack said in

a soft tone trying not to up set her more than she is.

Kay didn't respond, but as he approached Damien's unconscious body, a cold shiver shot up his spine. He visibly shuddered, slowly unlimbering his plasma katanas. He whirled around in time to see a black-robed figure approaching him, armed with two lightsabers.

A Dark Jedi.

"Well, well, dragon-shifter - you were hard to track."

"I'll bet - what do you want?" Kay responded.

"Is it not obvious?" the dark jedi asked. "I want your power."

Kay ignited his plasma katanas with a simultaneous snap-hiss. "You can have my power," he growled, "When you pry it from my cold, dead fingers, mudak."

The dark jedi ignited his lightsabers - a blue and a red saber - and chuckled, "So be it."

The dark jedi and the dragon-shifter engaged in a duel, and within the first thirty seconds, Kay had landed a minor blow to the dark jedi's thigh. Kay twirled his plasma katanas around and held them in a battle-stance, with the right-hand blade curving over his head and the left-hand blade curving across his right side. "You're not making this much of a challenge," Kay said. The dark jedi growled and assaulted Kay recklessly. Kay moved his katanas in graceful, speedy arcs as he deflected blow after blow, until he caught one blow, tripped the dark jedi, and stole his blue lightsaber. Kay put his plasma katanas away and held the lightsaber. "Wow," he commented. "Heavier than I thought." He twirled the lightsaber and held it back-handed. The dark jedi held his remaining red lightsaber back-handed, and the duel continued. Kay fought until the dark jedi was exhausted, at which point he leapt over the jedi, back-stabbed him with his back turned, reached over to snatch the red lightsaber out of the jedi's weakened grip, then whirled around and sheared the jedi in half with it. Kay stood over the dead jedi's corpse. Without consciously thinking of it, Kyle put a fist into each half of the dark jedi's body. The body lit up bright yellow, like the sands of time, as Kay absorbed the dark jedi's power. As this happened, an unknown force lifted Kay off his feet as numerous lights pulsated around him, shooting him with beams of light and penetrating his body. When it was all done, the dark jedi's body simply disintegrated, and Kay was dropped to the floor. He stayed there, on his hands and knees, seemingly weakened and panting heavily.

Inside Kay's head, a thousand different things fired at once. His heart beat insanely fast, and he didn't even know Star was talking to him until she put an arm around him. He simply held out a hand, trembling after what he just absorbed. The dark jedi's red lightsaber sailed into Kay's hand, and he tose, shaking on his feet, but soon regained his composure.

"Eight years," he finally said. "It's been eight years since I last killed a dark jedi... I had forgotten... what their power felt like." He held the lightsabers in his hands, then telekinetocally manipulated one of them. The hilt floated, spinning, and finally rested in Kyle's hand. He twirled them and clipped them to his belt. "Now, assuming no one else is waiting to ambush us - like KO'ed Damien over there - How does chinese food sound for lunch?"

Kay simply stared at his own trembling hand, still feeling the after-effects of absorbing so much dark side power all at once. After a few moments, the trembling went away, replaced by a feeling of strength - of power.

"are you sure your alright? i dont want you to pass out when were eating" she said to Kay, very worried.

"please dont overwork yourself if you cant." she said, kissing his forehead.

Kay felt Star's lips on his forehead, and his heart jumped. "I'll be fine, my love," he finally said. He leaned against Star and whispered to her, "As long as I am with you, I will be alright." He kissed Star's forehead, then turned to Damien's still-unconscious body. "Oh, he's still here," Kay stated. He looked to Star. "What're we gonna do with him?"

"I've got an idea", Zack said reaching in his bag.

Zack began to pull out an assortment of microchips, button pads, screens and wires.

As soon has he got a soldering gun out he went to work on a small device.

Soon as he was done it looked like a gauntlet Zack then took out a extremely small micro chip and walked over to Damien and motion Star to follow and then he told her,"I'm placing a tracking chip in him, I'm going to need you to heal the cut when I place the chip in him", Zack then gave Star the device that he just made and said,"this will tell you when he gets within a hundred meters of you and this screen will tell you how far he is, it's not high tech but it will get the job done".

"wow, nice tech, Zack" she said. she looked at the gauntlet and placed it on her wrist. she nodded at zack and told him to place the chip on him. she looked at Kay, feeling slightly bad that he was almost killed by her psycho brother.

"Kay, i think chinese would be great. im sorry for almost having all of you guys killed because of Damien." she said appologetically

As Zack and Star tended to Damien, a familiar song tugged at Kay's ears. Not one that reminded him of the fall of Cerinia - but one that brought up dark emotions that few understood.

Kay remembered what part of his troubled past this song was tied to. In a flood of pain and anger, the memory returned. He smelled a forest on fire. He heard the screams of terror as the denizens of a bandit outpost, nestled away in the forests of Jericho III, burned and died. He saw an old friend, a dragon known since childhood on Cerinia, dead in his arms. He felt the blood of his childhood friend on his hands, and felt the anger and hate that burned within him that fateful night. He remembered the rage he went into when Draconarius died - all the blood shed, all the deaths caused when he was murdered. From one death came many - and the Cerinian dragon-shifter blinked away tears as he remembered what people called his rage that night - as he remembered the first time his Blood Rage was triggered. Since then, it had happened on multiple occasions - each one with more and more bloodshed, more death, more destruction - and for what?

For Cerinia, Kay told himself. For those he lost when Cerinia was destroyed. He wiped away tears as he heard the screams of the dead, of the many whose lives he had taken in the name of anger and retribution. He had a beautiful woman who loved him, who understood his pain, yet still he was haunted by his past. Why? Was there no end to the torment? What would he have to do to shut these painful memories out of his head?

For some reason, Kay felt compelled to reach into his pocket and retrieve the picture of him and Draconarius, high atop a mountain of Cerinia - the only thing he had left of his childhood memories. Of his friends, his family, and of Cerinia itself. Though he didn't realize it as he sat down on a bench, he was crying - silently mourning the loss of an old friend. The one dragon that helped him realize that being a dragon-shifter didn't make him a monster - it's what he did with that power that would show people what he was. The one soul who took pity on him as a child, who sheltered him after Cerinia burned, who cared for him when no one else would, and eventually died protecting him from the bandits that he slaughtered, enraged and aggrieved at the death of the one sould he called his brother.

"I'm sorry, Draco," Kay sobbed, no longer able to control the overwhelming grief. "I'm so sorry - I have become what you died protecting me from. I have become... a monster. The very monster you said I was not."

She walked over to Kay, now holding him in a warm embrace.

"Kay, you are not a monster and you never were. you are the most wonderful, thoughtful, and loving guy i have ever met, and please dont think otherwise. i cant ever picture you as a monster........i can only picture you as the amazing guy you are now" she said, wiping his tears away

"you know i love you, and monster is NOT the word to describe you" she added, hugging him lovingly

Tears began to well up in Zack's eyes as Kay's memory shot though his mind.

Zack just stood there not knowing what to do are say.

"Kay...........i dont think your a monster, nor have i ever thought so.......you are an amazing guy, and to call yourself a monster? that is not the right word to describe you. now Damien, HE is a monster, but not you" she said, a tear trailing down her face from watching him cry.

"im sorry i cant be of very much help, i feel useless at this point. i want to help in any way i could, even if it meant dying for your happiness..........i want you to not be sad, not have these memories haunting you every day of your life, but they do........they torment you and i cant do anything to rid of them.........im sorry" she added as she leaned her head on his shoulder

Kay Simply held Star. She was right. He couldn't let his memories haunt him - not now that he had a family. "Listen to me, Star," Kay said, "Just being here with me is enough to help me. I promise you, one day, these memories will fade away." He kissed star on the head and added, "As I wouldn't let your past kill you, I will not allow my troubled past haunt me. When I'm with you... your presence, your arms around me, everything you do for me... is enough to end such memories. You are not useless - you never were, nor did I ever say you were." Kay turned Star's head to face him. "I love you, you know that - just give it time, and I promise you, songs like this will no longer bring back memories of my past." He kissed Star over her lips. In his head, the memory of Draco's murder faded away, the screams of the dead becoming little more than a distant whine, like that of a mosquito, and eventually falling silent. He wiped away Star's tears and whispered "I love you" in her ear. After that, he just held her in his arms, his eyes closed as he leaned his head against Star's.

He loved her with all his heart, and for his love, he was willing to put aside the pain and anger of his past. He would slaughter an army, destroy a world, even stand alone against the fury of every tyrant in the galaxy if it meant that he would be protecting the one woman who loved him - the one soul who had the heart to reach out to him, bring him back to sanity alive, the one person who dared show feelings for a cynical, dragon-shifting marauder who had, for more than ten years, lived in a constant state of anger and rage. Now, feeling the way he felt for Star, he was at peace.

Now on the brink of crying Zack said in a almost sobbing tone, "Alright lets get some damn food before I start to fall apart ".

still touched by the scene Zack was trying to pull himself together,"Now I'm buying and that's final," Zack said with a half smile wiping the tears from his face.
