He grabbed Star gently, looking into her eyes and reaching into her mind with the force, shutting out the fear. "It's okay," he said in her mind, "They'll not harm you. They're soldiers, like us. And it would be better here than down below where Balsa is. Even she cannot get here unless I say otherwise." Kay shut the pain from Star's mind, from her body, and didn't stop until only calm remained. He gently guided her down off the transporter pad and stated, "It'll be okay, Star... trust me." Kay held Star close as he guided her toward his quarters - through the bridge of the ship at the very core of the Hellhound Marauder. Kyle, Anna and Voro headed off for various parts of the ship. Once inside Kay's quarters, Kay ordered, "Izzy, seal this room off." If the AI could smile right now, she would have. "Understood." The door thumped once, and a ring of red lights appeared around the door. Kay turned to Star. "Make yourself comfortable; this is your home as much as it is mine." Kay sat down at a desk with a touch-screen computer. He tapped the screen, and it came to life. He looked to his bride-to-be. "Anyone in particular you wish to invite to the wedding? He lifted her head so that her eyes faced his, and he said softly, "Hey, Star... don't worry. Don't be so afraid. You're in the safest place I know - Balsa can't get you here, and nothing can hurt you here. I won't let anything happen to you, you hear me? I love you, and I would do anything to keep you safe." The progenitor of the voice took up a seat next to them, folding her arms over her chest. On the opposite side of the table, a 2nd person took up another chair. "Jay's been noticing things that you have been doing" Te girl said, stealing Balsa's drink and swinging as her partner added "Besides, does the death of a single alien you willingly sacrificed bother you taht much?" Balsa's face grew intoa snarl of rage, before the Hive mind was cut off by a larger presence. CALM...DOWN... Her head clear of Outside influence, Balsa sat down, a smile on her face.
