"Where is he?", Lidia asked her brother impatiently.

"Where who?", Jason asked in reply.

"Deric!", she snapped back "he's been gone all day, what if he's hurt?", she stated

"Relax Lidia he'll be fine, you know him", Chris said in a laid-back tone.

'And that's what worries me',Lidia thought to herself. "Alright I'm calling him", Lidia said as she got out her cellphone and dialed Deric's number.

'RRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!' was the sound heard when Deric's cell went off "hey, can some one hand me that?" Deric asked seeing he was unable to reach it.

Having finished throwing up in the sporting goods store, Kyle and Annika were on the prowl when Kyle tilted his head, hearing a cell phone ring.

"I didn't think they still used cell phones in this region," he commented.

"Don't worry about--" Annika started.

'RRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!' was the sound heard when Deric's cell went off "hey, can some one hand me that?" Deric asked seeing he was unable to reach it.

It didn't take Kyle long to spot the one who made the request. He wandered over, then telekinetically manipulated the phone to float it into Deric's reach. "Here ya go," he said.

Getting hit with the candy bar, Kage only stood there, staring at Balsa as he slowly shook his head. "Really?" he asked, "You expect me to catch a candy bar you whipped at my face -that- close?"

Deric stared blankly at his phone and then smiled and said, "Thanks."

"Hello?", Deric answered

"Deric!"Came the reply of a very familiar voice

"Oh, hi Lidia",Deric said in a cheery tone

"Umm... where are you right now?", Lidia asked

"I'm in the hospital but I'm fi -'click'- she hung up on me", Deric's eyes widened and he dropped the phone,"What have I done!?"

Kyle chuckled at the child questioning how he handed Deric's phone to him. "First off," Kyle stated with a warm smile, "Just call me Kyle; titles make my skin crawl. And this is my girlfriend, Annika. Second... Telekinesis is a simple trick where I come from. It can be used to lift objects as small as a phone... or as large as a starfighter, if one is truly focused enough."

"That sounds tough. Mr. Kyle" Gracia said, kicking at Dirt. "It must be tough if everyone can throwthings as big as a space ship at eachother..."

"Then obviously" Balsa said slowly. "You werent meant to catch it."

"That sounds tough. Mr. Kyle" Gracia said, kicking at Dirt. "It must be tough if everyone can throwthings as big as a space ship at eachother..."

Kyle laughed lightly. "Well, I don't do that - I've got no need to," he said. "Look, uh... do you know of any good restraunts around here?"

"Or holographic arenas, if this place even has such a thing..." Annika added.

"Holographic arenas?" Gracia asked, perplexed as to why one would wish to pretend to fight. "I dont know, Mr. Kyle, i do know that the Carnifex bar and grill has very good salids."

"Oh, good," Kyle said, "I'm hungry."

Kyle chuckled as he and Annika followed Gracia.

"I wonder if Carnifex has a supply of Ruby Bliels," Kyle mused.

"Oh, hell no," Annika said. "Remember the last time you had a Ruby Bliels?"

"Anna, I already told you," Kyle corrected Annika, "That food poisoning. The b*****d cook way undercooked my steak."

"And the Ruby Bliels you drank to offset the spices didn't help!" Annika responded.

"Oooookaaaay... what about Corellian Ale?" Kyle asked.

"Hell. No," Annika growled with a smile.

"... Kemorainian Mead?" Kyle continued.

"You're alergic to Kemorainian mead!" Annika exclaimed.

"Dammit!" Kyle growled. Kyle and Annika shared a laugh after that comment.

Kyle grinned, almost from ear to ear.

"Baby," Annika said, "I know what you're thinking, and it's not gonna happen."

"Try and stop me," Kyle chuckled.

Annika paused as she followed Kyle and Gracia. "Was that a rhetorical comment," she asked, "Or did you actually mean that?"

Kyle laughed out loud. Annika chuckled, rolling her eyes with a smile.

Oblivious to the vague mentions of past events behind her, Gracia stopped in front of the Carnifex Bar and grill, a small grin on her face. "Here you are!" She said smiling at the waiter who smiled back, giving a slight wave.

"May i dine with you please? THey wont serve me when im by myself..." Gracia meekly asked, switching from happy skipper to shy penguin.

Kyle and Annika both smiled simultaneously.

"Certainly," Kyle replied.

A waiter approached them. While Kyle talked to the waiter, Annika asked, "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask you; what's you name?"

"M-m-my name is Gracia" She said, Looking around meekly, her arms keeping her dress from showing her legs. "S-s-so what are you guys d-doing on Corneria?"

Annika noticed how Gracia was trying to hide her legs, but didn't force the issue. She'd only just met Gracia. "Well, really, Kyle and I are on leave as promised by our employer," Annika explained. "Don't know his name, but he has a lot of credits and no one else to pay. Nobody will help the poor b*****d, despite what he offers. Besides..." Annika looked toward Kyle. "... Kyle needs this. It does his mind some good to relax, now and again, after... certain events--"

"Okay," Kyle said in a cheery tone, "Let's go claim our table!"

"So you guys are private contracters?" Gracia asked with trepidation, her voice low and her gaze at the floor. "It seems everyone is these days. My momma says that..." SHe stopped herself, following Kyle as he announced he had a table. "Nevermind, its not a nice comment."

(Sorry, sorry!)

"I wouldn't say private contractors," Annika said. "The guy we work with right now is a retired military general with too much left unfinished and no one to help him. We mainly work with the Dragonarian military these days. However, since the last war, the Dragonarians have nearly run out of good jobs. The guy we work with promised us a fortune working with him, and we've nothing better to do."

There was a momentary pause as Kyle and Annika sat down at a booth.

"You can sit next to me, if you like," Annika offered.

"Continuing what Anna was talking about," Kyle said, "The guy's name is... oh, dammit, what was his name... Oh! Right. His name is General Kylet'oran Jek'ari... like the Jedi Weapon Master who leads team Star Dragon, but no relation. He lives on Dragonaria Prime, with his wife, Mali'ciaar, and his two children. Used to be the High General of the Dragonarian Military - served during the two Gateway Wars, and again during the three Kemoran Wars... and he's got a service record the size of--"

"Kyle," Annika growled, "You're getting carried away."

Kyle chuckled, then looked to Gracia. "I'm sorry - I tend to ramble from time to time. Besides, it's not every day you meet a legendary figure, is it?"

(Gonna play Skyrim for a while, then hit the sack. l8er, ppl.)

"Momma Says that we shouldn't glorify people who murder for a paycheck." Gracia quoted, plopping down next to Annika. "But Momma murders people for fun, so i really shouldn't say that." Something clicked in her head. "Why was there so many wars with the K-Kemorans? Kehmoranians?"

(We have about 7 or 8 posts left, the fifteen is a ridiculous amount of freespace)

"Kemorainians," Kyle chuckled. He paused, then asked, "You really want to know? The three Kemoran wars have a lot of history behind them. You sure you want to hear it?"

"Trust me, Gracia," Annika chuckled, "You probably shouldn't; Kyle could rant for days on the Kemoran Wars."

Before the conversation could continue, a waiter approached them. "Hello," he said, "My name is Stan - I'll be taking care of you tonight. Anything to drink?"

"Ah, yes, I'll have a Vanilla Coke," Kyle said, much to Annika's relief.

"I'll have the same," Annika stated, She looked to Gracia. "Do you want anything to drink?"

(I'm off for tonight. g'nite, ppl.)

"ill have a water please, with a straw please" She asked smiling faintly and turnign to kyle. "I want to hear about the kemorainians, you make it sound like they were bad people." Gracia crossed her legs underneith the table. "Momma says you should always remember them as good people, something about death and the gods. Momma is a little crazy sometimes."

Kyle chuckled. "The Kemorainians were bad people, once..." Kyle began. "With a bloodthirstiness to match their xenophobic racism. For thousands of years, they spent their time waging war against races they considered to be lesser. When they came into contact with the Dragonarians and their allies..." Kyle paused as the drinks were brought, and the waiter handed Gracia a straw. "... they struck first. Such as it was, Kylet'oran - again, not the Jedi - was on Mirdak when the Kemorainians attacked and destroyed the Dragonarian outpost on Ikktar IV. This marked the beginning of the first Kemoran war."

Another pause followed as Stan returned. "Okay, what will we be having, tonight?" he asked.

"I'll have a nine-ounce sirloin steak, cooked medium-rare," Kyle said.

"I'll have a twelve-ounce steak, well-done, with a side of baked potatoes," Annika stated. She looked to Gracia. "Anything for you?" she asked.

(BW, you sure you want to hear about the history of the Kemoran wars? Reason I offered you the opportunity to decline is because it's a long story. I don't mind telling it, but I don't want to bore you with the details of a series of wars that happened in a 'verse that I created.)
