Kaida's ears perked up a little bit at the news.  "Really?"

'He's unemployed and -still- insisting on paying for everything...'

"Well...what are you interested in doing?" she asked, hoping she could help him find an available job.

Flux still felt a bit embarrassed, but decided to continue on. "Well, I was a lifeguard back home, and it was pretty nice, and okay pay. But I am up for anything social as well." He explained with a nod.

"Well..." she began, quickly searching her mind for an available social position.  After about a minute or so, however, the Klee Kai sighed.  "I don't know...I mean, I think there might be another waiting job open where I work, but...Actually, I mean, I guess it's -kinda- social, but...maybe you wouldn't like it."

When she mentioned the waiting job where she worked, Flux's tail started wagging the slightest, but did his best to hide it. "Well, I have taken a lot of crap in my time, and you know I can be nice. If you were okay with it, yeah. I don't mind doing that. If there was a position there." He said, truly wanting to work with her, but not trying to sound desperate, or clingy.

If you were okay with it, yeah. I don't mind doing that. If there was a position there." He said, truly wanting to work with her, but not trying to sound desperate, or clingy.

"Then next time I go I'll be sure to ask, and if there's a spot open, I'll put in a good word for you." Kaida promised with a smile, meaning every word of it.  It would be great to finally have a friend at work, especially one like Flux.  "Or maybe so you can get a look at the place you should come down with me next time I go."

Flux smiled happily at this, and nodded. "Yeah, that sounds great! I would love to!" He admitted, truly happy to see that she was okay with working with him. He was most likely over analyzing the situation, but it made him feel good as he never really had a job that worked with many other staff members. It would be new, and maybe a bit hard, but overall fun and worth it.

He was most likely over analyzing the situation, but it made him feel good as he never really had a job that worked with many other staff members. It would be new, and maybe a bit hard, but overall fun and worth it.

"Then if that's your final decision," Kaida began with a small grin, her eyes averting down to the table, "we're probably going to be hanging out with each other quite often.  You're fine with that?"

She really just wanted to hear him say it.

Flux nodded again happily, the green gleam still in his eyes. "Of course I am! It has been great and fun already being here with you. And, well, you definitely have been the kindest person to me for the longest time. I would love if I could work with you." He admitted, his excitement taking control over him a tiny bit, then regaining his composure and a small blush came upon him.

And, well, you definitely have been the kindest person to me for the longest time. I would love if I could work with you." He admitted, his excitement taking control over him a tiny bit, then regaining his composure and a small blush came upon him.

A soft giggle escaped the Klee Kai, her eyes retaining their happily playful gleam as she watched the wolf.  She was again reassured of his feelings for her, and glad to be sure they were genuine.  "Then you and I will go out there and see about getting you a job.  Then we can both work towards schooling together."

Though at that moment her stomach quietly growled, sending a heavy blush across her face.

A soft giggle escaped the Klee Kai, her eyes retaining their happily playful gleam as she watched the wolf.  She was again reassured of his feelings for her, and glad to be sure they were genuine.  "Then you and I will go out there and see about getting you a job.  Then we can both work towards schooling together."

The waiter came by moments later with the food. "One Seafood Sampler right here." he said happily, setting it down in the middle of the table with a nice smile as he walked quickly away, trying to wait other tables at the same time.

The waiter came by moments later with the food. "One Seafood Sampler right here." he said happily, setting it down in the middle of the table with a nice smile as he walked quickly away, trying to wait other tables at the same time.

Just as she had remembered how hungry she was too.

Though since Flux was the one who had actually ordered the sampler, Kaida remained still with her hands clasped in her lap, waiting for the wolf to beginning eating first.  If she immediately started in, she would have felt rude.

Flux chuckled as he saw her. "Go ahead, we're splitting the cost remember?" He said. The two then took their time eating, and talking about simple stuff that most adults do when they are bored.

"Well...D'you think maybe I could stay with you for the night?  I was supposed to find a friend's house, but...Well, I kinda got side-tracked in this place, if you haven't noticed, and you -are- a friend..." said the Klee Kai.

The gaian colono was tired of traveling soo much. He travel here, there, he had more or less been to half of the galaxy now, all in less than a bunch o' months.

He payed the cab, and getting out of the car, he found himself at the "Complex" his friend Jake had been telling him for the last weeks. Supposedly, they would meet there, arrage a few things and by the way, get a (to their thinking) well-deserved vacation.

"So, here I am. Now you should better show up soon, Jak'..." He thought, and went inside, his large coat still on.

He headed for the hotel. First of all, he needed some rest. Traveling for so long made him feel sleepy, and traveling much doesn't helps it.

She hoped she wasn't intruding.  She really liked Flux and didn't want to offend him or make him feel uncomfortable.

Flux's blush left, and silently straightened his voice. "Sure thing. Sounds wonderful." He said, leading the two the parking lot out front. The two were luckly parked generally near each other, making their coordination to Flux's apartment easy. The two got out of the parking lot, and drove to his apartment, as they were bothtired.

...I really hope I can find that sleeping bag...

Gearhart, a male brown and white wolf that looked the age of 20-25, sat in a chair of the hotel section entrance of the complex. His day had been overall boring, ass he sat there reading the newspaper.

Somehow, being in a place meant for relax, and wearing an ominous-looking coat didn't mix. Or that's what the gaian thought.

"Mr... Are you the one hotel's owner?" He asked the wolf, being as polite as he could.

The wolf looked up at him, then to the left and right. He then stood and pointed to himself. "Me? Oh gosh no. I am just a guest." He explained.

The wolf shook hie head and chuckled. "No, I don't believe I have. But I bet I could help you out." He started with a smile. "Here." He said motioning to the man to follow him to the front desk.

There Gearhart asked the receptionist if he could get the manager. The man nodded, and went from the desk, and into the halls to get him. Gearhart turned. "Well, he should be showing up rather soon." He added. "Hope that helped."

Gearhart easily noticed this, but knew not to really ever let what strangers say to him affect him. He shrugged, then smiled. "Glad I could help." He said in a normal expression. "If you need me, I'll be where I was." He said, moving back to his chair in the lobby.
