Hunter couldn't but make a sarcastic remark in response. "You're kidding right? Look at this guy! He can take out the likes of Balsa for crying out loud! There is no way in all of Lylat that you can convince me he isn't here to start trouble. Even a drunk Dimitri has enough sense to be afraid of this guy."

"Did I just say that out-loud? Why do I do this to myself? WHY?"

Tran: "Trust me, if he was out to kill us, he wouldn't have lasted two seconds..."

He then turns to Kage, slightly embarrassed.

"No offense, Kage."

Kage wondered why the hell he was even there, he was having lunch with Balsa and the two newcomers one minute, and the next he's somehow next to the others.  "I don't understand, but you severely underestimate me" He said.  The guy could believe whatever he wanted, but it wouldn't have gone quite how he's saying.

A club in the other part of the Complex was getting ready for opening. The owner was looking over his club and overseeing the preparations. He was a big man, the kind that work out in their spare time, and his eyes looked sharply around the club. His large rabbit ears hear a commotion in the kitchen and he goes back to see his head chef beating one of the performers over the head with a wooden spoon. "I! SAID! NO! SNACKING!" the chef screeched as she punctuated each word with a smack from the spoon. "Alright Tilly! Alright!!" The defeated performer said. The rabbit man sighed. "Break it up you two. Tilly's gonna need her tools unstained by blood and Benny's gonna need his brains in his head for tonight." Benny, quickly ducking of range of any more cooking ware takes a moment to straighten out his suit. Benny was a horse (of course, of course) and a comedy act all set for the club when it would open. With his cheap suit and slim build, he did look the part of the comedy relief. "OK, Mr.Williams. I'll keep outta trouble. You can bet your feet on it!" Benny says to his bunny boss. Mr.Williams raises an eyebrow. "Rabbit's feet. Humans think they're lucky" Benny explains. His boss still gives him an unbelievable look. "Aw forget it." Benny sighs as he heads out ot the stage to practice some jokes.

Doggy has decided that he's bored with the bar for now and has moved to the holodeck. After securing a room, he activates Zip-Locker to pull his gun and sword from his ship. (Doggy never carried his weapons into the complex. Who needs 'em?). He also activates his Line Shield. As the light lines draw themselves on his clothing he starts off easy with target practice using virtual skeets.

~~

Two raccoon girls headed into the complex, identical twins though one walked with a cane and smiled more than her twin sister. The other one seemed to be looking around, her eyes almost like balls in air-powered lottery cages. Her sister giggled at her. "You know you look demented when you do that, right?" The other stopped her eyes and focused them on her cane using sister. "Well, I just-" "-like to be prepared" The other frowned and continued, "In case-" "we need an escape route-" "from whatever" "disaster strikes while we" "enjoy shrimp cocktails." The sister blinked. She hadn't expected that. "Well, let's just go." And off they went.

"you've got that right kid" Dimitri says while luaghing, too drunk to realize his surroundings now as he drinks from his beer.

(Ah. No ,problems, then - but I must point out, Kyle is a Cerinian Dragon-Shifter, and Anna is a Dragonarian Dragon-Shifter - meaning, Kyle's normal form is a Cerinian, and Anna's Normal form is a Dragonarian. They're not Dragons, they just have the ability to shape-shift into their dragon form.)

"You've nothing to fear from me," Kyle commented. "I'm not here to cause trouble; My family and I are on shore leave. If we were here on an op, you'd know."

"Trust me, you would," Anna agreed.

Kabier and Drake stepped into the arcade Kabier mentioned before leaving the buffet, and took a look around. Drake immediately spotted a game he just had to play; Podracing. He bumped Kabier and said, "Ten creds says I can beat you in that game there."

Kabier smiled. "You're on," she replied.

Bri walked behind the raccoon and smiled, "Looking for the med bay?" She asked.

[Again, sorry for taking eons to reply.  It seems as if much has progressed since I last dropped by this thread. xD]

"Don't worry; I would've been out by now if that knock on the head caused any serious damage, right?"  Nodding in order to reassure himself more than anyone, the raccoon turned his attention back toward the directory, glancing about at the restaurant listings before catching his eyes on something quite tempting.  Tail picking up in a light swish, he turned with a smile toward his new found compatriot.  "I can't speak for restaurants, though I'd be a sucker if I didn't mention the cake shop just around that-a-way" Neil articulated, pointing back in the general vicinity of the bar in which everyone seemed to frequent.  He was quite disappointed that he hadn't noticed the pastry shop at first, though noted that in the event that he had he may not have encountered the wonderful ligress that stood before him.

(Well my mistake then, haha. So, just for future reference, both of them are dragons, but only in combat they become dragons? Does it follow the same rules as say, a lycan, would?)

Taking a couple of breaths to collect himself, Hunter decides to play it cool. "Alright, maybe this guy won't kill me. Not now anyways." He thought.

Stretching out a paw, he responds "Well, my name is Hunter, as Tran here pointed out. What brings someone like you around here? Is this your first time around here?"

(Note: im aware your character has been here before, but im playing the part ;) )

She smiled, "Well then, shall we go and visit the pastry shop?" The ligress asked, looking in the direction of the shop.  She saw it down the hall, they hadn't gotten far from the bar.  She leaned against the directory as she waited for the answer from Neil.

(Not Dragons, Dragon-Shifters. There's a difference. Think of them as a sort of shape-shifter that is limited to a normal form and a dragon form. They can shift to dragon form at will, and typically use it to travel within the confines of a planetary atmosphere. Again, Kyle's normal form is that of a Cerinian [being that he was born on Cerinia], whereas Anna's normal form is that of a Ryukaissen Dragonarian [Anthro-Dragon race from 'verse 01-Alpha].)

Kyle gripped Hunter's paw and gave it a firm shake. "General Kyle Indari, Dragon'taan Marauder Corps. The Dragonarian at the table is my wife, Anna. She, my son, Drake, and I are here on shore leave."

(Just so you know who and what you're dealing with, here: [look at the last two posts])

(Oh, it's more clear now what you were trying to explain. However, i must ask, are their heights only applied to when they are not in dragon-shifted form? Because 6'5" seems rather tall for a regular being that can shift into a dragon on top of that)

"Pleasure meeting you Kyle. Did you just say you are a General of the Dragon'taan Marauder Corps? I've never heard of them, which is odd. Usually I recognize all sorts of different companies." He responds, completely oblivious to the fact that he just addressed a General like any other random citizen (before it was too late). Once more, Hunter fails to make the right impression on someone.

"I wonder if I can find work with these guys? Maybe I should get to know him better first." Hunter asks himself.

Hunter, looking over to his companion Dimitri, can't help but smirk. "What in Lylat is this guy doing? He's gonna get hurt unless someone holds his hand or something." Thought Hunter.

Hunter looks over to Tran and Kyle again. "What do you think guys? Should we help out poor old Dimitri?" He asks with a hint of sarcasm and a ;)

(The height of a dragon-shifter in normal form depends on the race their normal form is.)

"That does not surprise me," Kyle said. "The DMC has only recently begun to operate in this 'verse. Our most recent op was that Venomian resurgence over on Venom - were asked to put it down. We weren't told it was supported by elements of General Zaariin's Imperial Military, however."

"Sounds like a plan to me," he chuckled, taking a quick glance in the direction before beckoning  the ligress ahead of him.  "Though it's probably antiquated by now, ladies first."  Aside from general politeness, he couldn't navigate this place for the life of him - the hallways and corridors were a bit much for what he was able to take away in a glance.  With that said, the shop in question was directly down the hall, but sticking to principle traits was important!

She smiled, heading just barely in front of him as she lead the way to the pastry shop.  They were more next to each other than anything though, in the interest of keeping conversation alive.  "So what brought you here in the first place, Neil?" She asked, turning her head to face the raccoon.

"I can't really say for sure; aside from the fact that this place dwarfs everything around it, there's just something about a supercomplex that I find appealing.  Maybe it's the atmosphere, or the chance to meet some wonderful people; the latter by the looks of it," the raccoon replied - he couldn't help but to gesture while speaking as it made his hands seem useful during the conversation.  "How about yourself?; not often someone drops by here without purpose, like I have."

Kaiba: "I am an artificial bio-cybernetic logistical noid composed of silicon, diamond fused duranium and 50% nano tech. I am sorry, my answer was...yes."

"...Impressive!" Kyle's expression turned into one of excitement after Kaiba's confirmation.

"...I've seen quite a lot of things in my life, but look at you! A sentient android, that looks exactly like an average Lylatian local. I've never seen anything like that... Well, there are the automatons and the other artificial beings around but they seem kinda... alien, I guess?..."

Oh boy, that may sound offensive to him, he's still an artificial being after all...

"Um... uh... Oh!" Kyle stutters before saying with a snap of his fingers. "Maybe you could help an acquaintance of mine in a thing." Kyle states, gesturing towards someone in a cluster. "Well, actually, it's not a big acquaintance at all. Well, actually... I just met him earlier today... But that guy Tran seems quite troubled." Kyle says with a bit of an awkward tone when admitting he met Tran just a while ago.

While Kyle talked with those at the bar, Anna looked to Balsa. "Speaking of Zaariin, have you had any trouble with him or his forces?" she asked.

*     *     *

Having ended the podrace in a tie, of all things, Kabier and Drake were now wandering the complex

"... And that marked the end of the conflict with Zaariin's forces," Drake concluded.

"Glad I don't frequent 'verse 02-Gamma," Kabier commented. "Do Zaariin's forces ever bother you?"

"From time to time," Drake admitted. "But every time they do, Zaariin diplomatically states that the ones violating the treaty are rogues."

"I guess he wants to avoid another war with the DMC," Kabier said with a shrug.

They wandered past a pastry shop, headed for another part of the food court...
