Kabier shrugged. "I'm alright, more or less," she answered. "Wandering around here when I ran into Drake. Didn't know he was the son of High General Kyle Indari."

"You and about a dozen other people I know," Drake commented.

"I don't suppose you know anything of the General?" Kabier asked Zackary.

"I know a little bit, met him actually, I had helped with the Maria project", Zackary replied.

As Hunter tells Dimitri about his ship, he tries to imagine what it looks like, but only looses the image before he can see it clearly.

His ears perk up as they get near a ship that looks like what Hunter had described, only to see that the alcohol, making his vision distort things he saw, was bluring ships together and tricking him. while he stumbles his way around, he notices numbers in front of each ships dock, then his eye's widen as he thinks of something then says to Hunter " Hunter, theyy mmay hhave rrecorrded whhere yyou dockedd yourr shiip wwhen you-" a loud THUNK is made as Dimitri bangs his head on a docked ship and falls backwards, flattening on the ground. While he lays there, he notices that it is a bit smaller that the regular ships, and the color like what Hunter had described, even having a third engine. He yells to Hunter " HHEYY KIID, ISS THHIS ITT?" pointing to the ship above him, now rubbing his head from banging it on the ship and the floor.

Looking at the vehicle closely for any marks, Hunter looks at Dimitri wondering if he is ok. "Yep, that's my vehicle right there. You see those tri-power engines? Sweet huh?" Once again, Hunter was getting caught up in how "awesome" his ship was. Though, he had a right to considering how he worked hard to put this thing together piece by piece, part by part.

Helping Dimitri back up he asks "Is your head ok? You took a pretty hard fall. Didnt I tell you to watch out when I hit the alarm? :troll: " Hunter felt bad about forgetting to tell Dimitri to watch out for any incoming vehicle that might come his way, specifically his own craft. "Where did you say you lived again? Let me see that address so I can put it in my file before we go."

"yyup, itt iis." Dimitri says. While Hunter is helping up Dimitri, he pops his neck and it pops about 10 times in a row. He then looks to Hunter and says "Yyupp, a prretyy hhardd ffall iit wwas." he pauses for a second then as his ears flatten for a second, then raise back up as he says " nnoo? thhoughh I mmay hhave juust ennded upp runningg innto anotherr shhip." now reaching into his pocket to retrieve his phone, he pulls it out and hands it over to Hunter. "hhere ya ggo kiid."

"Well that's a relief, I was worried you were going to need more time to recover fully." Hunter responds, pulling his device to punch in the address. "We might have to wait a bit though, its...an older model." As advanced as his personal craft seemed, some of Hunter's other equipment was out of date. Nevertheless nothing stopped him from sticking to something as long as it worked properly.

While they wait for the device to determine the best path to Dimiti's home, Hunter asks "So, wha'cha do for a living? I don't think we have had a normal conversation yet." He says. His tail shot up as Hunter became worried he was asking too many questions for one day.

"Maria project?" Kabier asked, "What's that?"

"Was that a reference to the incident involving Marauder One?" Drake queried.

As Dimitri sits down he says "YYeah, jjust a ppop of myy neckk aand imm good." giving Hunter a thumbs up. He then says "ollder mmodels, ha. thhats wwhat I chhoose to usse, maybe buggyy, bbut a ffew minnutes of ttamperingg wwith itt, and itt wworks jjustt likke thhe newerr mmodels."

As Dimitri scratches his head, thinking on the question Hunter had just asked, he says "oooohhh, a ssoldier, annd I ddevellop neww weponns for thhe CDF. I'd llike to gget intto thhe mmercinary fielld thhough, theyy some BA people." now fixing his meesed up fur on top of his head, smoothing it flat. "hhow bbout' yyou?" he says to Hunter.

Unbeknown to those in the bar, a tall, masculine bull was walking by outside. He wore a black tuxedo, but had his face covered behind a navy blue scarf. Since he had hooves for feet, he could not wear dress shoes. His face was serious looking, his eyebrows nearly covered his crystal yellow eyes. However, he seemed calm, since he rested against a wall, taking a drink of his canned beer.

Well that's a relief, at least he didn't think i was too aggressive there asking him about his profession. Now how to explain mine? Hunter thought. While working with the device, Hunter realizes the significance just what Dimitri told him. "So, you've been in battle field and got to develop the weapons you used? Those are mighty fine skills to have you know. But why make the switch from the military to being a merc? Isn't the pay better when you are in the forces?" To say the least, Hunter was quite surprised at talent that stood before him.

He looks back at the device. "Still moving along, huh? Man this is going to take longer than I thought." In response to Dimitri's question, Hunter replies: "Well....uh, I'm basically what most would consider a freelance merc. As you can probably tell, the pay usually stinks. I admit it's part of the reason why I work with some old stuff." After what Dimitri said about being a weapons developer, Hunter was almost embarrassed to show off his weapon's system.

strolling towards the doors of the bar is a yellow lab, sharp dressed fellow really. Swinging his cane around while wearing a bowlers hat. one of his eye's has a monocle in front of it. He is wearing a black suit with a white shirt and an black bow tie, black dress slacks and two-toned shoes. Before he enters the pub, he see's a bull and says " Good day Ol' chap, how are you this glorious day? and if I may introduce myself, my name is Charlie Woofington."

reaching out his right hand for a shake, while switching his cane to his left hand.

[Woofington, cute :3]

The bull catches a glance at the gentlemen and lets out his huge hand, shaking his. He then replies in a deep and booming, but generous voice, "Nice to meet you.Frank Scotts is my name. What brings you here?"

Frank looked back to his beer and replied, "Nothing much, just trying to relax myself. Weather seemed warm enough to me, so I figured I'd stay outside. Plus, I went to a wedding earlier."

(Old char, new forum. I'll post his info later. An image of his ship: )

gunboat.jpg

In orbit, another starship dropped out of translight speed. Instead of remaining in orbit, however, it headed down to the surface. It flew over the complex, found a landing bay, hovered above it for a few moments, and began to descend. As it neared the landing bay ground, its lateral wings folded up, like that of a Lambda-class shuttle. The ship's fuselage vanished into the bay, but it's dorsal and port and starboard wings were still seen jutting above the bay.

From that moment on, nothing happened - until a lone figure came walking through the complex. He wore a grey tank-top beneath a brown shirt and a pair of camouflage-colored pants. On his feet were black steel-toe military-style boots. He also wore a vest over his shirt that had multiple pockets, the kind of vest you would see on deep-cover agents. On the back of the vest was an emblem of a red four-pointed star with the letters D-M-C in the center, with two lightning bolts below the star, meeting at the bottom tip of the star. To the star's sides were twin stripes of black. Slung over his shoulder was a worn-down Model 76 Kadgeron Disruptor Rifle.

There was no mistake. This man was a DMC Marauder Operative.

He wandered over near Frank and Charlie, stopping just shy of them. He looked to them, his eyes seemingly devoid of life, and asked in a raspy voice, "Is there a place around here that sells Romulan Ale?"

[DMC=devil may cry? :P ]

Frank looked at the fellow. He noticed his lifeless eyes that were staring at his, and he felt suspicious of the fellow, especially after he posed the question. Nevertheless, Frank didn't think too deeply about it and said, "Yeah, I think they serve it at the bar over there." He then proceeded to point at the bar which he mentioned.

(DMC = Dragon'taan Marauder Corps. Custom faction of mine I use frequently. Anyway, info on my char: )

The operative looked to the bar and back at Frank. "Spasibo, my friend," he said, his voice having a Russian accent. He paused, then added, "I apologize if I seem intimidating; I've not been able to sleep for a few days, now, and I haven't had anything to drink since I left New Moscow."

Frank laughed: "Its fine. And don't worry. I don't get intimidated by anything." He then paused, and then proceeded to ask, "So what brings you here, friend?"

The man coughed once, then responded, "As I indicated, a drink. I'm thirsty as hell." He unslung his Disruptor Rifle and checked the power cell. "Second reason is getting supplies. While I doubt Corneria has the power cells my Disruptor uses..." he paused to put the power cell back in the receiver of his weapon, then initiated the charge with an audible tweeeeeek. "... I know they have much in the way of food and drink and other miscellaneous supplies. My comrade is getting them while I'm here." He shifted his rifle in his arms, then offered a hand to shake. "Name's Tuz'iin... Tuz'iin Do'Vokun, though most simply call me Shadow."

Frank proceeds to extend his arm to shake. "Frank Scotts". He then proceeds to shake his hand. "Care to join me in the bar for a martini or something?"

"Martini, no," Tuz'iin said. "I'm game for a glass of Romulan Ale or Dragonarian Mead." He slung his disruptor over his back. "Don't worry about this; just a precaution," he said, indicating his weapon.

"So, you say you want a team, eh? If I may ask you, what exactly are you looking for in your partners?" Even though Hunter liked doing things his own way, this Dimitri guy could teach him a lot, and hey, since they seem to be quite compatible as buddies, how could a team of mercs acting as a group be any different? Hunter has quite a bit to learn about teamwork it would seem. "The money shouldn't be much of a problem for you I assume, since you've been in the CDF....how many years exactly? Besides, if you get lucky, you can hit it big as a merc. It just might be a bit more dangerous is all compared to your work in the forces."

"yupp, and jjust thhat they cann take orrders and be willing to objectt an orderr if it will commplete thhe mission." Dimitri says, trying to get relaxed now. "yyeah, it wontt be, annd this wiill be my sixxth year servinng in thhe CDF,annd yeah, though my work inn thhe fiellds iis more challengging than a regullar soldiers." he says, yawning right after.

Charlie walks into the bar and orders a glass of wine, he then walks over to an empty table and just watches the activity in the bar, taking occasional sips from the glass.
