"I was saying" Balsa says through clenched teeth and a plastered smile. "Is that the bartender has really bad eyesight."

By chance or design, Drake and Kabier wandered into the bar where Balsa and Zackary were talking in.

"Look - there's two seats over there. I told you we'd find a couple!" Drake commented.

"Are you ever wrong?" Kabier chuckled.

Drake raised an eyebrow and asked, "Was that a rhetorical question, or should I crunch those numbers?"

Kabier laughed as she and Drake took seats adjacent to Balsa.

"Hi, Balsa," Drake greeted Balsa.

"Hi!" Gracia answers for her mother, waving merrily as Balsa dips a hand as quick as she can behind the counter, coming back up with the bowl or pretzels.  Balsa nods to Drake and turns her attention to the bartender, waiting for his back to turn again.

That bartender must be blind if he can's see Balsa doing that, Drake mentally chuckled to himself. "Bartender!" he said aloud, "A glass of Romulan ale, please."

"Make that two," Kabier added.

Drake chortled. "Kabby, you didn't tell me you drank Romulan Ale!" he stated.

"It's been a while, so I don't much remember how it tasted," Kabier responded with a smile.

Drake and Kabier waited for their drinks, and Drake asked Balsa, "Did you see where my dad went?"

"Nope, just got off my shift, haven't seen him." Balsa says, enjoying her illicitly gotten snacks.

"Perhaps earlier we just got off on the wrong foot, My names Zackary Singleton",Zackary said to Balsa, stretching his hand out to shake with a warm smile.

Balsa looks at his hand with incredulous intent, then back to her daughter, who was glaring at her as much as she could. Balsa rolls her eyes and takes Zack's hand. "Victoria Guisella Basalt af Miklagard." She rolls. She pauses. "Balsa, please."

"Nice to meet you Balsa", Zackary said in a friendly tone as he shook her hand

"Hmph" Balsa returns to her little game, throwing herself over and over to nip little things from the bar. Gracia has long since engrossed herself with a TV on the far wall, sipping from a straw nearly the size of her head.

"yupp, and jjust thhat they cann take orrders and be willing to objectt an orderr if it will commplete thhe mission." Dimitri says, trying to get relaxed now. "yyeah, it wontt be, annd this wiill be my sixxth year servinng in thhe CDF,annd yeah, though my work inn thhe fiellds iis more challengging than a regullar soldiers." he says, yawning right after.

"Well I just made a fool of myself there, not only is this guy more experienced than I, but he's looking for someone who wants to sit there and take orders." Hunter thinks.

"Hey, Dimitri, you don't think, maybe I could just possibly join your team?" he says sheepishly. "I mean, it's not like I've given you a reason not to let me join, right? hehe..."

Looking down at his device again, Hunter can't help but feel anxious, as it was still calculating the route they should take to Dimitri's home.

Dimitri looks over to Hunter and says "surre, and ya ainnt gave me a rreson not to let ya join,-" he pauses for a second then jokingly says, while nudging Hunter with his elbow, "- unless ya killed my family." laughing now as he finish's his sentence. Dimitri leans back again and says " but they are still alive and well, anyways, I dont mind thhe lleast biit if ya joinned,-" reaching out his right hand now, "-whatta yya sayy?" a bit of a smirk on his face, though he trys to keep a straight face.

Kaiba looks around the bar, confused but for a moment.

Kaiba: "My neural net is attempting to repair itself. I feel rather strange. It is as if I've been here before, on this planet."

Drake had just gotten his Romulan ale when his communicator beeped. He grabbed it and said, "Drake here."

"Drake, your mother and I have to leave; we're sending down your Uncle Mathayus to watch over you. Regardless, try not to get jumped up on Juma Juice," Kyle said.

"Don't worry, dad - I've stayed away from that stuff since that last incident," Drake responded.

"Be good, Drake," Anna stated over the channel. "Dragon's Rage out."

Shortly thereafter, the massive, multi-kilometer-long Dragon's Rage and her escorts broke orbit, and vanished through their TDIG rifts.

"What happened the last time you were 'jumped up on Juma Juice'?" Kabier asked.

"You don't wanna know," Drake grumbled.

Hunter shares a laugh with Dimitri for his joke about "killing his family", but he couldn't help thinking there was more to it than just a simple punch line. But he wasn't about to press Dimitri for more info. Then again, they practically just met each other. Maybe some other time they could talk about their lives growing up.

"You sure you gonna remember this day if I tell you 'yes'?" Hunter responds, with a wink, letting Dimitri know he wants to be part of the team he plans to put together. He shakes Dimitri's paw, making the agreement official. Well, almost official.

"Oh, I call it "Ye Olde GPS" as a joke, but that would only be partially true. You see, all of the original parts of this GPS have been replaced at least twice. This includes the protective frame itself, the screen, the electrical wires, the internal battery....it goes on and on. But originally the model was a NPC brand model x200 I believe?" (Admittedly, the original model was about 70 years old...and while it was working, it did need quite a bit of tuning, hence the replacement parts.) "I was lucky though, I got it for a good deal about 3 years ago for it. Should've paid about 5000 credits, (because it was such an old piece and still functioned), according to what I was told, but I got a deal on it for only 1500 credits."

"I figure if I'm gonna put serious money into something, it should be something I'm proud of, like my ship. Unless of course you'd like to hear all about my awesome ship again?" Hunter says jokingly. "To be honest though, part of what I love about this old GPS is how nobody would want to hack it like they can a modern communications line. And if they do, there isnt any good info that someone would want to steal from it. So I get that sense of security from it."

"Alright, you toddlers" Balsa grumbles as she nearly knocks the door to the largest bar in the complex over with a careless kick. "Apparently i can't let you drink all by yourselves without parental supervision, so pick a chair and your poision, your drinking with Guisella tonight"

Leading into the bar, an even 100 men rapturously enter the establishment, kicking up the volume of noise by at least a factor of too many decibels. Laughing soldiers, strangely dressed like ancient warriors, pick seats and start using the provided entertainment.

Balsa ignores the unit of men around her and wades through the crowd to slam a comically large stack of bills on the counter. Over the din of the noise, she shouts as loud as she can to be heard.

"I need as much beer..."

"BEER!" interrupted the Comitatenses behind her, chanting with a single voice born of senseless practice.

Her face deathly calm, Balsa continues. "As you can muster, i am afraid we are drinking this place dry."

Dimitri laugh's at the the name then says " I waas about to say,it lookked a bit ... better thann the orriginal." As he leans in to inspect it, he says " so yya replaced just abbout everything?" he then taps the screen and the progess jumps up about 6%. As he leans back and fixes his hat he says "1500 credits aint bad forr this model and when im sobberr, if ya give me abbout five minutes to adjust it, and i could boost the speed that it determines the route." while he scratches his jaw he says "that sence of seurity is what ya should get with this and earlier model, they are not only better, but easier to hack."

In another part of the complex, a lone figure wandered. He was dressed in tattered-looking Armored robes, with multiple lightsabers clipped to his belt. His walk struck fear into the patrons and shoppers around him, as they hurried to get out of his way. He stopped for a moment, looking around. He spotted Hunter and Dimitri, and approached them.

"Excuse me," he said, his voice mechanically distorted by the helmet he wore, "I don't suppose either of you know where I can find this boy?" He flipped a picture of Drake to them, hoping one of them would recognize him.

Dimitri stops talking to Hunter for a second to look at the picture, he then says "umm, I thhink the last place I saaw hhim was inn thhe bar, but I ainn't to surre." he then leans and stumble in his stupor. As he tries to regain some of his balance he says "Herre's a thhought thhough, ask him-" pointing to Hunter "- insttead of thhe drunkk." he says as he is very dizzy and wobbly for a while now.

"Now let's see here. I think Dimitri here may be right about that. But just hold on one second. Who are you and how do you know this guy? I mean, we just barely met him about a few hours ago. We barely know him either. I might have forgotten his name to be honest...go check the bar, thats where he should be though last i knew about." Hunter gives the newcomer the directions to the bar. He wishes him well, and then directs his attention back to Dimitri.

"So Dimitri, is there anything you see wrong right off the back with my custom GPS device?" Hunter asks, annoyed with the long delay.

The jedi in the tattered armored robes entered the bar Drake was in, and immediately spotted him, talking with a Liiraan Lioness. He walked over and removed his helmet, setting it on the counter.

"Drem Yol Lok, Uncle Faasnu," Drake greeted him.

Faasnu smiled. "Drake," he responded. "Not drinking Juma Juice, I hope?"

The doors open slightly revealing a figure strolling into the bar. He was a veteran from the early Lylat War until the Aparoid Invasion. Approaching the bar and seated on a stool, Commander Agathol sat with his brow heavy with thoughts and memories.

"What can I get you?" asked the barkeep.

"Zonessian ale and whiskey chaser."

Kage stood behind the counter, wiping a glass down as he surveyed his area.  Nothing going on, just the way he liked it.  He never cared for crowded bars, even if it was a lot of business.  It was just a side job for him anyway.  He looked to his right at the woman downing her drinks like a camel.  "Care for another, Balsa?" He joked, "Should I leave the bottle this time?  Or will you inhale that too?"
