CrypticQuery
Throwing up both hands playfully, the raccoon confirmed his choice. "That'd be correct; just some plain ol' water for me." Turning back toward the liger and grinning, he returned to their casual conversation. "Soft drinks aren't too bad, though water doesn't make you thirsty afterward in my personal experience." Cocking his head to the side and raising an eyebrow, Neil knew he wanted to keep the back and forth going, though wasn't quite sure on which subject matter to cover. He stroked his chin philisophically for a moment before coming to a noteworthy topic. He foggily recalled that the liger's first name was Bri, and hoped that the recollection was accurate. "So Bri, whaddya do for fun 'round these parts?"
Arashikage
Kage poured a glass of water for the raccoon and returned to his behind-the-counter duties. -- "Well, there's a movie theater in here, a gym, and what's known as a holodeck. It's actually a really cool concept, if a bit limited. There are only a few rooms because it takes a lot of energy to run something like that, and they're a little limited because rendering everything so that you can see and even actually touch everything is quite difficult." The liger said, shrugging. "Still, you can do some pretty cool things there."
CrypticQuery
Nodding in thanks toward the bartender, the raccoon took a quick swig from the glass of water and set it back down onto the bar. He thought what Bri said over while subconsciously thanking the fact that he was able to find someone that was so easy to talk to. "Sure sounds like it; I remember just a few years back when those holodecks were in the planning stages, and now they've got 'em everywhere." Neil was largely enjoying the banter, and continued in the line of questioning. "Now I know what there is to do around here, but what do -you- enjoy, given the countless options?" Monokuma
Wolf jumps up to the slight mention of a gym and a holodeck. "They have those here? That's great...I might get some training done. Your right about the energy issues though, back on Earth, they have the same problems." Looking at the liger and raccoon, "By the way, I never got your names. Mine's Wolf." CrypticQuery
Mentally chiding himself for not taking notice of the newcomer previously, the raccoon cast a glance in the wolf's direction and flashed a friendly grin. He couldn't help but to chuckle at the nature of the fellow's name, however, and couldn't resist the urge to comment on it. "I didn't see that coming, but aside from that the name's Neil." Turning back toward the ligress, he awaited the answer to his previous question.
Arashikage
Bri looked at the newcomer, it was odd he was asking for her name because she had never seen him or talked to him before. "I'm Bri" she said, then turned back to Neil. "Well, I like going to the gym, and sparring. Fighting is kind of a passion of mine." she started, "Ever since I was sixteen, I enjoyed it. Watching it, and even doing it myself."
CrypticQuery
Neil couldn't hid the smile on his face; he had noticed previously that the ligress was well-built [in fact that was one of the first traits that he couldn't tear his mind from] and this recent revelation provided an explanation to go along with that obseravation. "I'm sure you've noticed that I'm a lover and not a fighter," the raccoon chuckled as he gestured outwardly with his hands. "I'm sure it's great for venting frustration though - I've gotta stop by and spectate sometime." He made it no secret that he was interested by Bri's talents; of course, he wasn't exactly eager to be on the receiving end of that hobby!
Arashikage
She laughed, "Usually we pull our punches, and save the real hits for the real matches" Bri said. She gave a wink to him, "But if you ever get the guts to go against me, I'll go easy on you~"
CrypticQuery
"No can do; I've gotta keep this face intact or else I'd never meet wonderful people such as yourself," Neil joked, patting his muzzle to reinforce that point. The coon's ringed tail flicked idly behind him as he turned to take another quick sip of the water he had ordered. Turning back to face the ligress, he posed yet another question - a trend was emerging it seemed as he was always the inquisitive type. "What got you hooked on the sport, exactly? Not many fine gals fancy watching two people knock the snot out of each other, that's for sure." The raccoon was generally more of a negotiator and smooth-talker rather than a fighter for that matter.
Arashikage
Her eyes flicked down, then back up at Neil, "Well, my family life wasn't exactly what you'd call normal." She said, "I had a lot of need to vent anger or frustration."
Salem
"Sorry, we got no stage, plus we're not big enough to even have live music or anything, let alone pay for it" Kage said. "Damn... Well just thought I'd ask, we've been looking for gig for a while now and haven't had any luck, namely due to the same surcamstances as yourself", Chris replied. She said, "I had a lot of need to vent anger or frustration." "Goddammit, me and my big mouth," the raccoon thought, his brow furrowing as he attempted to steer away from the subject without being overt about it. "All I got was sibling rivalry, though I guess it's inevitable with four brothers and five sisters, huh." He did have a relatively large family - and at least he was partly pushing things away from what seemed like a sensitive topic. Neil did admire the tenacity of the ligress though; regardless of how difficult her upbringing was she became a functioning member of society, and a lovely one to talk to at that. Arashikage
"Wow, you have a large family" Bri commented, "Wasn't it kind of difficult to function with all those people in your house?" She asked. It would have been hard for her, but the more she thought about it, the more she figured it would have been easier on her, because the attention wouldn't have been focused on her all the time. CrypticQuery
"There were pluses and minuses, though it always sucks when you've gotta use the bathroom and there are six people ahead of you," the raccoon grinned, openly reminiscing about those days. He couldn't deny that his recollections were tainted by a hint of nostalgia, though he was certainly aware of the shortcomings too. "Of course there were times when you didn't have top priority or even a high priority when it came to certain things, and lack of recognition for achievements, but I suppose you learn to live with that. It didn't help that we all looked similar; it's a wonder mom and dad could ever tell us apart." Neil stopped to take a quick sip of water and waited to see if the ligress had any feedback. Arashikage
Bri nodded, giving a light laugh. She had never known these woes, being an only child since she could remember. "I never thought about that" She said, "The whole bathroom situation. It sounds like it could get out of hand if you only had one or two."
Salem
"Indeed. I don't really have any close friends besides my Husband's best friend and MY best friend. Other than that they can all go to hell. No offense, Chayrlin" Star said, finishing her drink up. "So why does she need a bodyguard"? A smoke grey fox with white hair and a bionic arm walked in to the bar and noticed a familiar face. "Star!? is that you!?", the fox said as he walked up to the white vixen. "I never thought about that" She said, "The whole bathroom situation. It sounds like it could get out of hand if you only had one or two." "There's a lot of things you don't notice until you're dropped into those circumstances. I'm sure there are similar caveats with being an only child and all too, but at least we can look back on those times now and don't have to worry about 'em any more. At least for the most part." On that note, Neil turned and took a final sip from his glass of water, allowing the cool liquid to act as a refreshing take on life. He had an out of the ordinary request at the moment though. "Hey, barkeep! Could you pass some ice? Just a glass full of ice, I'd appreciate it." Turning back toward Bri, the raccoon smiled and explained as he subconsciously gestured while doing so. "There's not much that's more fun that eating ice, or is that just my take on things?"

Arashikage
"Hey, move along" Kage said to the unknown fox, "She's been bothered quite enough today" He reiterated. It was unfortunate, and actually kind of weird that all these people were approaching her with the same line. He then heard the request from the raccoon and passed a glass of ice over. --- Bri had another sip of her coke. "It's always good to know I don't have to worry about things like that anymore" She said, "Never cared for fretting."
CrypticQuery
Elated at seeing the glass slide his way, the 'coon grabbed a piece and popped it into his mouth. He allowed it to melt slightly before he began to break it up with his teeth. For some reason he found great enjoyment in this, and he wasn't entirely sure why - perhaps fond memories could be blamed again. "Ain't that the truth; move on and keep on kickin'" Neil replied, glad that they both seemed to be having a decent time. His tail lightly swished behind him as he worked at the frozen cubes. LadyMajora1024
"No, I don't remember, because we've never met before in my life". Star snapped, then turning to Chayrlin. "It's fine. Im just annoyed at the ammount of people claiming they know me. It's probably because of that Kyle or whoever, getting people to act as if they know me. Either way, Im going to leave soon to avoid anymore unwanted attention".
ballisticwaffles
Victoria slides up next to Star, placing her body between the bar entrance and the Newcomer, blocking Star from sight. "You dont have to leave if people are bothering you." She says, sliding her drink over from her previous spot. "We got your back." "Hey! I need a drink! The bartender lady wanted a challenge, right?" The cane raccoon said. "Name yer poison, then." Chayrlin says, folding her arms after placing her hat on the counter.
