The Cornerian Complex

[Arashikage]

"Hello Kaila," John said as he extended his hand and shook. "Everyone tends to call me John, its nice to meet you"

John paused for a bit trying to think of what to say. "So what brings you to Corneria?"

"Figured there were better things to do out here than sit on a planet filled with nothing but forests and plants" Kaila said "I mean, it's beautiful don't get me wrong, but I had to move on, you know?"

John chuckled in agreement with Kaila, "At least you are on a planet most of the time, with the work I do, its mostly a ship in space; but I do not blame you for wanting to move on" John paused and sighed "And it really is great to finally just get a break and relax"

"Well, yeah it could" Arashikage said "I mean, really, anything means... well, anything"

Harmona would turn her head back and him and smile. She didn't say anything for a bit. Her tail began to idly swish behind her. "Well, I have enjoyed our time together, I mean, you helping me understand the way civilized people live in this day and age.." she admitted to him.

John chuckled in agreement with Kaila, "At least you are on a planet most of the time, with the work I do, its mostly a ship in space; but I do not blame you for wanting to move on" John paused and sighed "And it really is great to finally just get a break and relax"

"Yeah, I know" Kaila said "So what do you do for a job?" She asked

John scratched the back of his head not wanting to give the whole truth away, "Uh I work for a team, I do computer systems, some piloting, and remote hacking for some things" John replied "What about you?"

"I don't really do anything" Kaila said "I just got here, so, my first thing would probably be to look for schooling, then worry about bigger jobs" She explained

Harmona smiled, then she peered into the darkened arcade room. She turned back to Kage, then back to the screen she could see. "And you watch these screens to play these games?" she would ask him

"Pretty much" Arashikage said "What you do is look at the screen, and press the buttons that pertain to what you have to do, like, there's a certain button to fire, a button to jump, crouch, prone, aim, all that stuff, the joystick is for movement, the one on the left to move forward, backward, left, and right, and the right one to turn in any direction" He explained, "It's fun once you get the hang of it"

Harmona would try to follow what he was telling her, but she lost track when he tried to explain the joysticks. "didn't you once say something about 'shooting' games? Do you need so many buttons for those?" she would ask, somewhat jokingly.

"It's better if I show you, come on" Arashikage said, stepping into the arcade, waiting for Harmona to follow

"Heh, that's pretty funny" Kaila said 'I don't get it'

Harmona would follow, listening to the blips and pows of the room, but she would stop when she came upon a glass case full of stuff, "What are these?" she would ask Kage. A young man would come up to her and ask, "Can I help you?" Harmona didn't know how to respond to the man.

"Heh, that's pretty funny" Kaila said 'I don't get it'

John noticed her confusions and tried to change the subject, but when he looked at his watched and noticed the time. He realized that he was late

"Hey Kaila I am sorry but I have to get going. I have an appointment with someone, It was really nice talking to ya, Hopefully I'll see you around later? "

The Fox walked away and went into an elevator bring him to the 1st floor.

"Hey Kaila I am sorry but I have to get going. I have an appointment with someone, It was really nice talking to ya, Hopefully I'll see you around later? "

Arashikage chuckled "No, those are prizes" Arashikage said "When you win a game you get a certain amount of tickets, and those tickets buy prizes, you just give the tickets to the people behind the counter and they give you a prize depending on the amount of tickets you won"

"Tickets....I thought only Conerian police gave out tickets.." she would say, both chuckling and sighing at the same time. She would turn her head and notice a game with a 'gun' in the holster, she would walk over and lift it up, examining it, "Um...these things are....safe for kids....right?" she would say, making a reference to real guns.

Her eyes suddenly became glued, "I can see how this would be good for training..." she muttered to Kage, shooting nearly everything in site that was acceptable.

The brown and white wolf, known as Flux, entered back into the complex alone. He had a redness in his eye as he had a small slouch as he walked. It was obvious he had been tearing for quite some time. He roamed around, hoping he would find at least something to take his mind off things.

Travis would have begun to get frustrated at this point, He headed to the food court again, having been here several days in a row. But before he got there he passed a wolf who looked as if he had been crying, Travis' curiosity and hatred for seeing others cry got the best of him. He quickly turned and caught up with the wolf, "You ok?" he would ask, hoping maybe he could give a helping ear for the wolf.

"Wow" Arashikage remarked "You're a natural with a lightgun" He said "It took me about a week of firearms training to get that good.  You sure you haven't done this before?"

"It's--... It's nothing that I could control. It was for the best anyways. No need to talk it over." He said, still very down and hurt. "I... I don't really know how to describe it. All I know is that worrying about it will only make it worse. I just need to not think about it."
