The Cornerian Complex

"Well... Not really on my mind, no..." He said, still the smile there as his eyes went downward. "Just waiting."

"I guess so...Well...Flux?" she began, shifting just a tad.  "I'm sorry about...back there."

Toby chuckled, "I doubt she will me...." he would say, this time hearing John didn't hurt and it made him smile more. When the mention of food came up, it was not Toby who spoke up, but his stomach, he then realized that he had not eaten all day. "Thank you..." he would say as he smiled.

John chuckled a bit, and soon his stomach began to growl. "Hey it is not a problem Toby." John smiled "You get to choose what you would like to eat. " He followed Toby as he began to search for what he had wanted to eat.

Jade had received the text message, and had canceled her plans. "What would John want at this time?" After a while she began to make her way to the complex

"I guess so...Well...Flux?" she began, shifting just a tad.  "I'm sorry about...back there."

"No, no. I should be sorry. I should have just accepted that it just might be something that happened to you. Nothing that can be changed, and everything I am accepting of." He said reassuringly.

John chuckled a bit, and soon his stomach began to growl. "Hey it is not a problem Toby." John smiled "You get to choose what you would like to eat. " He followed Toby as he began to search for what he had wanted to eat.

Toby would glance around the dinner they had entered, He glanced at a menu that was handed to him and began to skim it. "Hm....bacon sounds good..." he thought allowed. He then placed the menu on the table standing up. He would playfully peek above it, to see John, then when/if John would notice, he would duck playfully behind it.

John chuckled a bit, and soon his stomach began to growl. "Hey it is not a problem Toby." John smiled "You get to choose what you would like to eat. " He followed Toby as he began to search for what he had wanted to eat.

Airi barely heard the word "eat" from someone as she and her brother were passing by, though just the thought of food made her stomach growl.  She blushed, turning her eyes to the silver vulpine beside her.  "Can we eat too?"

'What, hungry already?' he thought in reply.

"Well, hey, we haven't eaten in a while, right?"

'Well...I guess not...Heh, sure.  Let's go.  Any ideas?'

"You could just follow that guy." she suggested.  After a moment, Gin, the male, picked up on who she was referring to.

'Right.  We'll do that.'

"No, no. I should be sorry. I should have just accepted that it just might be something that happened to you. Nothing that can be changed, and everything I am accepting of." He said reassuringly.

That warmed her deeply, her smile showing it.  "Thanks, Flux...Maybe I'll tell you another time..."

After all, the wolf already knew most of the story.

John saw the playful kid and chuckled. He also began to look at the menu and stated "Bacon is very good, You should try some eggs and toast. Along with that. I heard it is really good, and very delicious."

That warmed her deeply, her smile showing it.  "Thanks, Flux...Maybe I'll tell you another time..."

After all, the wolf already knew most of the story.

"No worries. You tell me only if you want to, and when you're ready." He added with a smile.

The waiter soon came over with the Kaida's drink, and then left to help out other customers.

Once they had entered, Gin and Airi were seated at a table beside the fox's and tiger's, the young silver vulpine looking over his menu.  The vixen didn't bother trying.  "Gin, what's there to eat?"

'Well...a lot of things, actually...Anything you want in particular?'

"Hmm...Bacon!"

"No worries. You tell me only if you want to, and when you're ready." He added with a smile.

The waiter soon came over with the Kaida's drink, and then left to help out other customers.

Her smile widening, the Klee Kai picked up her mug and lifted it to her lips, eagerly tipping it back.  As always, the feeling of the warm, creamy liquid traveling down her throat and warming her insides was a delightful one.

Toby would play a bit, but then look at the menu seriously. "That sounds awesome..." he would say, beginning to look for something to drink, but he figured he would get a water, since soda would have made him a bit hyper.

Her smile widening, the Klee Kai picked up her mug and lifted it to her lips, eagerly tipping it back.  As always, the feeling of the warm, creamy liquid traveling down her throat and warming her insides was a delightful one.

Flux smiled, happy that the Klee Kai was happy. "Kaida... If you don't mind me asking, what is your last name?" He asked, curious as he never knew it.

He started chuckling, drinking some of his water. "Well, I hate to seem like a little kid... But I asked first." He added with a wink, the chuckle still going a moment later.

Toby didn't answer at first, he closed his eyes, trying to concentrate. His ears would begin to flicker as he breathed slowly. But then more then what he wanted started to come into his mind. He quickly focused on something else. He glanced over and seen the wolf with his husky friend from before.He would focus on them, since he liked the wolf since he was the one who first mentioned what Toby might be and after a moment the voices died off and he sat right in his chair. He glanced up at John, "I heard....talking...between two people...but...it was different..." he would try to explain...

Louis was enjoying some of the food he tried at a place called That's-a spicey meatball, he doesn't remember the last time he ever had such good food.

"It's try what they say...isn't it?" The chef asked Louis while getting his meal ready.

"What?" He asked.

"Taste like chicken?" The chef responded.

Louis doesn't recall having some chicken somewhere, he slowly replied "I...guess you could say that?"

The chef went back to the kitchin and was preparing some steak to serve to Louis. He sat and had some soup to wait.

He started chuckling, drinking some of his water. "Well, I hate to seem like a little kid... But I asked first." He added with a wink, the chuckle still going a moment later.

"Go on Toby" John was interested.

During the conversation, John  had received a message from Jade saying that she was at the complex. He managed to send a response telling her to meet them in the diner. She was on her way.

'Alright, bacon it is.' Gin thought to his sister with a grin.  'Now we've just gotta wait for a waiter, 'kay?'

Toby closed his eyes, he kept hearing them. He would glance up to John, "Someone is talk with their minds.....like...to one another..." he would say. He closed his eyes again, thinking hard, "Hello?" he would think, maybe if they were close enough, they would pick up on it. But he figured it was a wild shot in the dark, but he had to try. A moment later he opened his eyes, looking around. He would look at John give a frown. Then he would pick up his fork, feeling a bit frustrated with himself, the fork began to bend right in his hand. He shook his head as if he just woke up from a daze, noticing the fork he would hide it under the table, hoping the waiters did not see, "I'm sorry....I didn't mean to do that..." he would whisper to John

"Heh..." Flux slightly chuckled. "Kaida York... That's a nice name..." He started, then drinking some water. "Sentor... Flux Sentor." He said with a grin and blush. "Now you know."

"Thanks...I like yours too, Flux."

'Hmm...Kaida Sentor...'

John had watched Toby bend the fork, He knew that Toby felt frustrated. He tried to reassure Toby.

"It is ok Toby' John handed Toby his fork. "You can use my fork. Besides our food is here, and you should eat up. " Hoping to ease Toby away from his frustration

Toby began to slowly chow down on his meal. He was naturally a slow eater. He began with his eggs, saving the bacon for last. He would glance up at John, "Shore leave? Are you in the military?" he would ask, a little curious about John now. He would take a small bite out of his toast while waiting for an answer.

"Not really, I fly with a team, and we roam around the Lylat System" John paused for a bit. "Right now we are on a nice vacation. Oce that has been needed for the longest time." John chuckled. "This super-complex has been quite the place for such a vacation. They have almost everything here!" He exclaimed. He enjoyed more of his french toast and juice
