The Cornerian Complex

[Ris Grestar]

The Alaskan Klee Kai again entered the supercomplex, this time alone.  Again wearing cargos, this time with a plain white T-shirt, she started heading down through the mall, sliding her hands in her pockets as she went.  She was looking for something, but she wasn't sure what.

"I-I don't know" She said, she just couldn't trust anyone, she knew very well why, but couldn't explain, it was one of her many problems she didn't share yet her expression showed at that moment "I-I'm fine" She finally said, even though it was clear she wasn't

And Everett noticed all of this easily, as it was obvious. "Well... I know I just met you practically... But if you are not fine, but just don't want to talk about it, I would like to hear that." He stated. "It's just a tick of mine. Even if you are obviously not okay, if you say you are, it feels you are just trying to hide the obvious." He then took in the last of his water.  "I know you aren't fine, and it is okay if you don't want to talk about it at all." He then looked at her, and showed a smile for the first time with a relaxed face. "I'm not such a bad guy. You can be honest in that way with me."

And Everett noticed all of this easily, as it was obvious. "Well... I know I just met you practically... But if you are not fine, but just don't want to talk about it, I would like to hear that." He stated. "It's just a tick of mine. Even if you are obviously not okay, if you say you are, it feels you are just trying to hide the obvious." He then took in the last of his water.  "I know you aren't fine, and it is okay if you don't want to talk about it at all." He then looked at her, and showed a smile for the first time with a relaxed face. "I'm not such a bad guy. You can be honest in that way with me."

"I-I guess...." Caitlyn said, "It's just... people keep prying into what they don't need to know, and it happens to me all the time"

The eagle girl exited the dining commons, looking around the complex for something to do, obviously bored out of her mind

Kaida was thinking that maybe she should just give up and find a convenience store on the way back, stop in there where she knew where everything was.  But she didn't just want to leave the complex so soon--especially considering that the crowds helped the exit hide from her.  As she was glancing around, continuing to move forward, she accidentally bumped into an eagle-human hybrid.  "Oh, sorry!"

Kaida was thinking that maybe she should just give up and find a convenience store on the way back, stop in there where she knew where everything was.  But she didn't just want to leave the complex so soon--especially considering that the crowds helped the exit hide from her.  As she was glancing around, continuing to move forward, she accidentally bumped into an eagle-human hybrid.  "Oh, sorry!"

The human eagle almost fell over "It's okay" She said, "I bumped into someone earlier too" She explained, regaining her footing "He was nice about it though, so, no harm no foul"

At that, Kaida giggled, taking it as a joke.  "Nice one." she remarked casually, her ears perking up.  "Anyway, I'm Kaida."

"I-I guess...." Caitlyn said, "It's just... people keep prying into what they don't need to know, and it happens to me all the time"

The hybrid nodded. "I know all to well what you mean. History, personal information... Many try to pry into my life that way. I am not sure how it affects you, but I know what you mean. Just know... Well, if you ever want it that is... That you have one friend at least to talk to."

Flux had fallen asleep by now. His phone was in the lock mode, and he spent his whole time trying to get it unlocked, as it was the first time it happened to him. He snored partially loudly as he drooled on his pillow, catching up on some much needed, normal sleep.

At that, Kaida giggled, taking it as a joke.  "Nice one." she remarked casually, her ears perking up.  "Anyway, I'm Kaida."

"Mikaila" The Eagle girl said "But most people just call me Kaila"

The hybrid nodded. "I know all to well what you mean. History, personal information... Many try to pry into my life that way. I am not sure how it affects you, but I know what you mean. Just know... Well, if you ever want it that is... That you have one friend at least to talk to."

"O-Okay... That means a lot... Thank you" Caitlyn said

Jade tried to reassure the young boy "Toby it is ok, I am going to help you control those urges. I used to have the same urges, and I once destroyed a place too, no one was hurt,but then someone helped me and they had the same gift, they helped me control my urges. I wish to do the same for you"

John was surprised. Jade had never told him of this incident. She told him many other things, but this was a first.

Toby would smile a bit, knowing he wasn't the only one who made mistakes. He then noticed something odd happening, his tail, was moving, but he had no thought of making it move on his own. He turned his head towards Jade, "Did...you do that?" he would ask her, unsure if she would do that either to make him laugh or what.

"O-Okay... That means a lot... Thank you" Caitlyn said

"No prob-" The hybrid got cut off from his watch beeping loudly in alarm. "Crap!" He exclaimed, standing up. He took out his wallet, and placed enough credits for the meals and the tip. "I have to apologize, but I have to go." He said, starting to move off. "I will see you later, I promise that!" He shouted back, jogging out of the restaurant, and towards the entrance so he could get to his destination.

Of all times, it had to happen now... I do hope she forgives me... I put her through enough already today...

"Well then, nice to meet you Kaila." said the husky with a friendly smile, her green eyes bright.  "What're you here for?  You know, at the complex?  Just hanging out?"

Toby would smile a bit, knowing he wasn't the only one who made mistakes. He then noticed something odd happening, his tail, was moving, but he had no thought of making it move on his own. Jade was a little surprised. she would responded back "No Toby, I didn't move your tail. Are you sure you didn't move it?" She seemed real interested now. She had felt another telepathic presence in the room, but she did not know who or what it / or they were. She knew that they were friendly.

Arashikage was happy she allowed him to put his arm around her.  He rested his chin on her head.  'This is great' he thought 'I hope this lasts, I don't want to lose another person so close to me...'

Harmona would chuckle, gazing up without moving her head, "So, where to now, Kage?" she would ask, she didn't want to lose the moment, but she knew standing there all day like that would bring some attention from someone.

Harmona would chuckle, gazing up without moving her head, "So, where to now, Kage?" she would ask, she didn't want to lose the moment, but she knew standing there all day like that would bring some attention from someone.

"I dunno" Arashikage said "Do you want to do some more shopping?" He asked, "Or maybe get something to eat?" He suggested, "I'm open to your suggestions"

"Pretty much, I came here to just get away from the city, you know, relaxation, I was heading toward the park"

"The park?" she asked, tipping her head to the side.  "So you're leaving the complex?"

After all, who heard of a park indoors?

Toby would shake his head, "No....I'm sure I didn't move it..." he would say to her. He would glance around, trying to see if anyone was concentrating on their location, but noticed that not too many were, just the simple glances here and there,mainly from the table incident.

Gin stayed silent, and Airi, not knowing what the silver-furred vulpine across from her was doing, did the same.  Gin was going to wait until suspicion had lifted before doing anything else.

"The park?" she asked, tipping her head to the side.  "So you're leaving the complex?"

After all, who heard of a park indoors?

"Well, sort of" Kaila said "It's just outside" She explained "So it's like, part of the complex but in the same sense, not.... Do you know what I mean?" She asked

Harmona would allow the arm to stay, she started to hear her stomach growl a bit, though paid no mind to it for now. She would look at Kage and smile, placing her own arm around him.

Harmona would chuckle as she had seen a group of children being escorted by an old woman who had this menacing look written upon her face, "Wonder what is wrong with her?" Harmona would ask, not to anyone in particular though. He would turn to notice kage looking at her, "Sometimes I see you as a love struck puppy..." she whispered to him.

Jade didn't hear a response. There might have been a chance that they did not choose to talk to her. She noticed Toby had waved at some other children. She would ask is a uplifting voice. Looking at the little boy, warmed her heart. She didn't know why though. "Who are you waving to Toby?"

Toby would turn his head back towards Jade, then point to the two kids. But apparently they didn't see Toby, which was fine to him, "I just noticed a few other kids here alone, thought I would say hi..." he would admit to her. He decided to play a bit, glancing at John. But then again, decided against it, as they were already being watched by the waiters and waitresses in the place.
