"Actually, it would be -neither-.  None implies I have more than two eyes..."

'Dang it, Gin, you and your books...'

"But anyway, it's okay.  I'm blind." she casually replied.

"Wait, blind?!" He replied in a little shock. "Did someone do that to you, or was it by birth?!" He asked. But then he did a double take, as now he felt dumb. "Wait... How do you know where I am then, exactly? How did you notice where I sat?"

"Ohh, I'm just psychic." Airi replied in a teasing tone, though hey, she was telling the truth.  "Then you talked, so, hearing your voice, I walked over to you.  Simple, right?"

...Psychic?! No... This kid seems too innocent... He thought. The hybrid never really had good run ins with psychics, and no longer liked most of them, as he recognized them as criminals and such.

But she was one, yet, didn't seem bad whatsoever...

"When you mean, psychic... You mean, like, telepathic and such?" He asked, really hoping it wasn't true.

(Though actually only Airi's there.  Gin's still near Toby and Jade)

(i edited post sorry :D)

John was shocked to hear that the little girl was psychic. He then recognized them from the diner, as she was one of the little kids that Toby had waved to.  He began to put two and two together, they must have known Toby was too, and tried to interact. He decided to just sit and listen for a bit

"I know, right?" Kaida said with a small smirk, her tail idly swishing behind her.  "So you've lived here for long then?"

"Only about a year and a half" Kaila said "I want to stay longer, this place is so cool" She said "Especially the fact that everything goes on at once everywhere, all that commotion, it's fun to watch from the air"

"Mm-hmm!" she replied happily, nodding.  But then when a sudden gleam came upon her amber eyes, the young, white-furred vixen smirked, letting one hip jut out a little farther than the other and resting her hand on it.  "Or maybe I'm not.  Maybe I just like messing with people."

Dun dun dun.

At that, Kaida decided it was time to look Kaila's wings over, her curiosity piqued.  "So you really can fly with those?  Not just for show?"

"Not just for show, they're 100% real" Kaila said as her wings unfolded and ruffled slightly "I think it's funny when people don't believe me, it gives me a chance to prove myself too"

'Heh, for a show-off she's pretty fun.'

"Well, they're impressive so far, but I wouldn't mind seeing them in flight...Go for it."

At that, the hybrid's face clenched a bit more seriously as it once was. He hated hearing that she  was psychic, but knew there was nothing he could do about it.

"...You are kind, and nice, right? You don't seem to be mean or rude." He inquired. He knew it sounded weird, but needed to know.

"Alright" Kaila said, she then jumped off the ground and took to the skies, doing a number of twirls and loops, she decides to dive for the group of people sitting down at the benches, she pulls away at the last second, buzzing them, and gracefully flies over and lands next to Kaida

With a short sigh, Airi lowered her head.  "Look, first you make fun of my eyes, and now you're insulting my personality...What'd I do?"

And, of course, her fur was soon ruffled by a sudden gust of wind.  Though not being able to see it, she disregarded it fairly easily.

Kaida's eyes were just a little wider when the eagle-girl returned, smiling and nodding, idly clapping--not sarcastically, just not over-enthusiastically.  "Nice, Kaila, nice."

The hybrid quirked as he quickly shook his head and hands. "No, no, no! I just mean... Gah..." He attempted, but then failed, not even his superior intellect wanting to explain it to someone so young and innocent.

He noticed the wind buffering a bit, so he stuck out a wing in the direction, and blocking the wind from hitting her for the most part.

"Thanks, I learned most of those on Gaia, not many people there like me have wings, but I had a friend who did, she taught me all that" Kaila said "Those were the days, happy and carefree"

John was shocked to hear the question, and he sort-of stepped in, considering that Jade was a physic. He knew that the question was worded wrong. "It is ok man, Not all physics are bad man, I have a friend who is a physic, and her sister is one too." He noticed the wings that extended from the hybrid, and he amazed

Airi noticed the wind suddenly cutting off--for the most part--but again took it as a naturally-occurring thing.  "You just mean what?  Don't I deserve to know why you don't like me?"

"Thanks, I learned most of those on Gaia, not many people there like me have wings, but I had a friend who did, she taught me all that" Kaila said "Those were the days, happy and carefree"

With the same light smirk, Kaida remarked, "You know, I've never really known many people with wings.  They tend to stay on other planets--or at least not in the school's I've gone to."

Great... Now -everyone- is against me... He thought, turning his head to the other.

"That's not what I am saying. It was a question purely out of curiosity due to past experiences." He explained.

And it was surely logical, right?

He then turned his head back to her. "It's probably best not for someone your age. But, please. Do understand it was my curiosity taking over. It was nothing against you."

"Well, I feel special now" Kaila happily remarked, she looked behind her to see that the people on the benches didn't react much to her stunt, "Ehh, if they wanna be sticks in the mud I'll let em" She said in a joking manner

Airi almost sighed, but she managed to hold it back.  Reaching across her chest, one hand gripped her arm, the vixen looking a little further away from the two than she already was.  "Okay..."

'But now it totally feels awkward...Maybe--...'  She was tempted to read his mind to find the answer, but she held herself back.  If he didn't like telepaths as it was, it was better not to try it.

"Ohh, you know how people are.  For all we know, one of them is blind."

*coughfixesthedamagedfourthwallcough*

"But anyway, I'm glad you're liking it here.  Corneria's a good place.  But I am curious now--Where do you work?  What do you do?"

John felt bad for upsetting the hybrid. John knew that he had worded his statement wrong and had to rectify the situation.

"No no, it is ok" He looked down to the ground, " I understand your frustration, It was just worded wrong I am sorry for upsetting you"

"I don't exactly do anything" Kaila said "I just kind of live off the money I get from the street, and some from nice people.  I don't really live anywhere, but I don't need to, I got all I need with me at all times"

(I'm going to call it a night here, see you guys tomorrow)

The hybrid sighed, and shook his head. "No, I am not frustrated." He started explaining, still keeping the serious and calm tone. "It's just, well..." He stopped. The hybrid was not about to reveal his secrets and past to others. Too many already knew the story, and that was enough to make him mad. "Personal..." He finished.

Now Kaida was rather confused.  "What?  How does that work?"  Not having a home but having everything she needed?  She remembered in school that shelter was an important thing in good health.  Kaila wasn't matching up with that little lesson.

"Personal...Right..."  Glancing to the side, she mumbled mostly to herself, "Maybe I should...just go back to Gin...?"

"I see" John said. 'It is nothing I should pry into too.'

"So what brings you to Corneria?" John said hoping to change the subject.

"No, please." He started, shaking his head again. "It was rude of me to ask in such a manner, and you are a nice young girl. You don't have to leave unless you want too." He explained.

His wings usually were never extended in such a weird pose, so he retracted the one that was out, letting it join the other behind him.

Turning his head to the side, he responded to the fox. "Well..." Wait... brings me to Corneria? Does he think I have not lived here?... "...Just curious, do you think I come from another planet?"

"I haven't been on this planet in a while, If you are from here, I am sorry" John said "Corneria always had such a variety of species, I never have met them all."
