Why did he insist that she wasn't?  Sure, he never said it directly, but over and over again he made it seem like Scott was the only one who meant anything to him.  It didn't seem fair.

Of course you can. Everett thought to her. He realized in the end, if the dingo truly said she could come along, it was not his call. Close, but no cigar. ...Look. I am sorry. If you want to come, and Scott wants you too, there is no reason at all that you can't. He thought more reassuringly, giving a smile as he did.

Of course you can. Everett thought to her. He realized in the end, if the dingo truly said she could come along, it was not his call. Close, but no cigar. ...Look. I am sorry. If you want to come, and Scott wants you too, there is no reason at all that you can't. He thought more reassuringly, giving a smile as he did.

Now that the hybrid was finally seeing things her way, she looked down slightly, again lightly bobbling her head from side to side.  'Yeah...but...Well, Gin probably wouldn't want me to go off without him anyway...Just this once I'll let you two go alone.  'Kay?'

And since she was the one letting him, she was in power.  Yay power.

Now that the hybrid was finally seeing things her way, she looked down slightly, again lightly bobbling her head from side to side.  'Yeah...but...Well, Gin probably wouldn't want me to go off without him anyway...Just this once I'll let you two go alone.  'Kay?'

At this, the hybrid shrugged. If you really think so, alright... And, thank you. Everett responded.

Everett was not dull. He had to deal with telepaths before. And knowing Airi, she had to be good, but he felt he could shrug the link off. He then proceeded to do so, not wanting her to be in direct link with his thoughts. Most of them were not always good, and also that he had some things he would just rather keep to himself.

I meant everything I said... But I still hate the fact I had to manipulate her just to get this.... He thought, after making 100% she was no longer in mental contact with him. But it is just this one time. I swear this...

With the knowledge that Toby was okay, Gin was further relieved.  "Hearing" Jade's compliment, a soft blush streaked under his eyes, a light smile on his muzzle.  'Thanks.' he thought, giving a little nod as well.  'Jade's a pretty name, too, just as it should be.'

Jade still kept Toby in her arms and after hearing Gin's comment, she smile 'Thank you Gin you are very sweet.'  She said

Toby would continue to hug Jade, but hear Gin's message. He would respond to Gin before Jade jumped in, "Thank you, and I know...Jade and John are helping me with that.."  He would tell Gin. He would then hear Jade in his mind, but shook his head as it started to fade in and out again. He would fold his ears, hoping that by blocking out the outer world, he could get better.

Jade noticed Toby's ears fold. She then began to feel discomfort, she began to hear voices, but it wasn't her hearing, it was Toby's. 'I am going to help you Toby. I am with you, I am going to help you.'

She sent the message with as much power so she could to make sure that Toby could hear it. 'concentrate on my voice, listen to it, relax and focus only on my voice. You will find that it will be easier to hear me, and the voices will drown out. she knew Toby could do it, she had the faith in him, that no one ever had.

Charles wanted to et something because he is hungry. He pictured himself, eting lasana and pizza at a 5-star restaurant. Then his stomach ade a sound. Chrles found a restaurant, then entered.

He would shoot the question straight towards Gin, and If jade heard it, it was fine.

Scott would sit there with Airi on his lap and as soon as he realized she had heard the comments on the movies, he began to try to speak, but was quickly interupted by Everett, which he didn't really mind. He only got curious when both of them went silent, he DID notice the intense stares between them, realizing that they were apparently having a conversation. He remained silent, curious as to what they were saying since he was himself not telepathic. But when it seemed the two had settled out what ever differences there were he would smile, "Come to a verdict?" he would playfully ask them.

With a playful roll of his eyes, Gin silently chuckled.  Kids.  Thinking they had to ask if someone wanted to be their friends.  When he grew older, Toby would realize that it was more of an implied thing after a while, not something in need of confirmation.  'Sure thing, Toby.  It'll be fun.'

Toby would nod at Jade's departure for now, even though it was only to the bench. He would wave a John and smile. He would quickly turn his attention back to Gin, "Mind if I ask you a question?" he would ask, hoping doing so would not upset things.

Shrugging his shoulders, Gin gave him an encouraging nod to go on.  'Not at all.  Go ahead.'

Scott would playfully look up into the sky, "Ok you got me there..." he playfully pointed out. When he heard the next comment he blushed greatly, "Really now?" he would ask her, an upbeat tone to his voice.

"Ohhh, you never know.  Maybe someday."

'If you keep being all nice like this.' she happily thought to herself, her tail swishing behind her, her sightless gaze warm and smile soft.

Everett did not really know what to say at this point. He got what he wanted, but at the verge of taking advantage of a small girl's wisdom. It didn't at all make him feel good.

He just sat there silently, still keeping calm as he did as to not ruin anything.
