"The name's O'Rourke" Said the mercenary, "I'm the founder and commander of the Shadow Element mercenary faction.  We are the best of the best and we won't settle for failure" He explained

(Just got back from something)

"Ah I've heard of you guys, your pretty famous." Salvador complemented the man "But to be fair, I've heard the whole "failure is not an option" thing many times, doesn't really work nowadays." Salvador stated

"Ha!" O'Rourke laughed "Doesn't work 'e says" He laughed again "Boy if I had a nickel.... We don't fail, we train the top mercenaries this side of the milky way, plus, a highly trained division of soldiers conditioned especially for space combat.  We always get our job done when we are called in, no matter what the costs"

"But soldiers are tied down to one nationality" O'Rourke said "One corrupt government.  They'll betray you no doubt.  If you're going to fight for a country, you shouldn't be bound to that one country, you should get the job done and get ready to fight against the enemy of the next highest bidder, that's the life of a mercenary"

"In that situation yes soldiers are a bad choice, but one government runs this galaxy, and most of the soldiers I know have honor and respect even to their enemies. I'm in the military, it's a nice job here." Said Salvador.

"Lad, I've been in some of the worst hellholes this side of the sun" O'Rourke said.  "I've been in Adjikistan, a poor, deserted dump with guerillas and SEALs everywhere.  I set up a base in an old abandoned battleship in a dried up riverbed" He explained "You couldn't imagine the death and violence in that one particular area"

"Try me old fool" Jorda responded folding her hands under her chin and looking straight at O'Rourke "out of all the hellholes you have been in, what was so special about this oine?" Reigan looked at Salvador "and what aboot you?"

"Worst battle I've ever been in." Salvador began as he searched his memory for the worst battle he's been in. "Alright some 150 years ago I was fighting a rebellion on my home planet. It doesn't feel good to kill your own species but that didn't stop us. I was taking point as me and a squad of special ops soldiers entered a narrow corridor. To our surprise the rebels didn't come to try and kill us, instead they sent 6 large savage experimental creatures on the sides of this hall way. They basically tore at us like a kid attacking a pinata. Half of us were eaten alive while the others got limbs torn off. I lost 3 fingers, part of my foot and half my right leg. I'm still paying off the medical bill for those injuries." Salvador answered.

"Holy Tap dancing Emperor" Reigan said, his own experiances with giant creatures with a taste for flesh providing him the neccisary sympathy. "So 6 animals buchered how many of your men?" Jorda asked incredulously

"There were 11 of us including me, so 5 of them were killed. But I knew these guys like they were my brothers so it felt like 20. It also doesn't help that my wife and son were killed by the rebels afterward." Salvador said solemnly.

Now, it couldn't be helped that Reigan had taken a sip of water at this time and sputtered when he heard Salvadors ending to his story. I could be helped that JOrda had been on his l;ap and thus got water down her back. The cold knock to his face was compleatly unrelated incedent. "son of a... anyway. oh my emperor. My he watch over their souls." Jorda said, nodding her head in respect.

"I appreciate your respect for my friends and family. But you needn't pity me or them. It is the price we pay for our militaristic souls. We die for our mistakes and live for our accomplishments. That's why I do my job." Salvador said holding his beret to his chest.

"Do not belittle your losses. And do not mistake my respect for pity." jorda said "i ahve watched more men die than you probably have commanded in your entire life. Ive seenn" Reigan pressed his lips to her cheeks and wrapped his arms around her ot calm her down before she got going. She willingly sat down with him, melting into his embrace.

A dark brown fox walked through one of the many front doors of the complex. His shades remained at his head, and his suit seemed looked pressed, and well cleaned. He brought up a finger up to ear and listened to the transmission through his earpiece.

"Your on break now Mark, find John, and talk with him. He is one of your closest friends. You need to have fun. Stop being consumed by your work. that is an order" The voice would say.

His voice transferred into the mic. "Roger, Mark out"

He removed the ear piece and stuffed it into his suit. "Finally a reason to remove that thing." He looked around not knowing what to do.

"Never really had a vacation, except that time back on earth with John"

He loosened his suit's jacket and removed his tie and removed the button on his collar. "I could get used to this" He would say as Mark stuck the tie into his suitcase. He found a storage locker area and stored his Suit jacket. Suitcase, Weapon, and other unnecessary things.

All he had on him was his collared shirt, sunglasses, cell-phone, wallet and other verification ID. He walked the vast expanse of the complex not knowing what he may find next.

"I'll find John later, but Im going to look around

Krissy had accidentally bumped into the fox as she was walking around the complex looking off in different directions as if looking for something. "Oh sorry didn't see you there, you alright?"

Mark walked into Krissy and He grunted as she bumped into her also. His stuff fell to the floor and he growled. "Ma'am I am sorry.  I should have paid more attention."

He picked up his suitcase and heard what she said. "I am alright ma'am. I should have been more careful. He corrected his shirt and brushed himself off.

"My fault as well sir, I was busy looking for something and I didn't see you. By the way my name is Krissy." She said offering a handshake.

Mark saw the hand that was offered to him. And respectfully took it and shook. "The name is Mark, Mark McConnely"

He took his hand back and studied Krissy. "Krissy, that sounds familiar.." He took a long pause and soon he remembered that text that John sent him a while back. Describing his encounters here at the complex

"You wouldn't happen to know a John around here would you?" He as questionably.

"You could say that, I have been friends with him for a while."

The Fox looked around and studied the area His ears flickering. He always was too observant of everything, but this area was new to him.

'Interesting place, they have almost everything here...

"If you see him, can you tell him Mark is looking for him." Mark said
