What's Your Favorite Horror Movie Franchise?

Alright, I know it isn't quite October yet, but I just got this idea in a class (great use of time there, m i rite?) and I guarantee I'll forget it fast. 

Simple enough, what's your fave Horror movie franchise and, if you want to go into detail, why?

By the by, I realize that there's more than these 5 series, but you can only list so many and these seem to be the most popular overall.

My favorite of the 5 you have here would be Halloween, but only the original, #2, and H20. They are the best slasher film(s) out there in my opinion and have the best story to me. I don't care for 3-6, and don;t even get me started on the abominable Resurrection or the new remake films.

If I had to pick another series, it would have to be the first two JAWS films. Again, good story, wonderful score, suspense, etc. I enjoy them a lot.

The recent Friday the 13th re-make was really horrible.  But the re-make of Halloween, and Nightmare on Elm Street were GREAT!

Ah, IC.  That's kinda what I figured, lol. 

Personally, I think it is one of the best films of the series.
