Not really ghost stories, but you get the idea.

Point is, despite my charms and the fact some would like me gone, this is nice place overall. Aside from the occational drama laama.

Basicly, the point is to share forum dramas, abuses and other bad tales of today and the past from elsewhere.

Last night the staff of one forum/blog posted a really truely unfunny article written by his gf about halo with such hillarious gems as "shooting a teammate in the face because he was behind an enemy you were trying desperately to kill is probably not a good use of a life" and “The sky is shooting purple at me!” before asking for comments. Saying that a 5 year old shouldn't be playing halo got me the stiffest penalty below ban.

So okay, I will tell you one tale I had in eRepublik.

Basically, eRussia attacked eChina for some stupid reason. I pointed out, by using logic, the idiocity of eRuskian reasons, and they all got MAD at me.

But they could not ban me, 'cause I did not insulted anyone. But the admins said that because I had been so "blunt" and "direct"... that I could have been "a little more considerative"....

Meh. They gave me a first warning.

They wanted you punished for saying "A 5 Year Old Shouldn't Be Playing HALO"!?  What stupid dickheads!

Anyways,

I had a friend at one forum, but he got so pissed off at the way things were going there, he posted a big picture of his hand flipping the middle finger, in a topic titled "I'm though with this place".  Above the picture, it said "To all the staff and 3/4 of the members here (you know who you are)." before deleting his account.

I was harassed at another [non Star Fox/non Krystal] forum, to the point where I called a Mod who was being exceptionally nasty to me there, an "inbred pig f***er".  The staff did NOTHING to make that Mod leave me alone in the past, and I'd had enough. 

I burned all my bridges at the [site X] (long time ago, under a different name, this was before User became Admin), and I burned my bridges at [site Y] (again, different name, long time ago).  Some people were REALLY mean to me at both of those places, and none of the staff cared.  I think one or two staff members at each of those places poisoned the rest of the staff and all my [former] friends there against me.

I was once part of another Star Fox fansite (now gone) that went to hell.

My friend "DJ Gadriel" had his own forum site, but the trolling and flaming, as well as spamming got out of control.  The Mods there had dropped the ball.  Big Time. DJ Gadriel suspected his marketplace forum had an illegal transaction regarding an illegal to own model of firearm in California, as well as another transaction involving some illegal drug sales.  Just rumors, but DJ Gadriel didn't want to take ANY chances.  The marketplace forum was shut down, but the rest of the message board stayed open, until one fateful night, when he discovered some members were reporting hate speech and death threats were made against them by other members, and the Mods did NOTHING about it.  He shut down the site.

I can understand Julius' unease about the KLA from back in the day, even though I wasn't a member at the time the drama that went on there....geez.  Lots of staff at that time were jerks and elitists.  Fortunately, right now (and for the last 18 months or so) we've been drama free and I personally ensure we have no such asses on our site.

If I might ask Julius, (and you can PM me this if you want) what was your original KLA member name?

Ahh, DZ can I mentioned this place, its owned by the WWE and has over half a million people so I don't think it will fail anytime soon.

Well anyways here is how everything works at WWE Universe

10% mods that don't give a crap and are only there to fix any glitches and make annoucments(there payed too)

20% members that fight on over what is better TNA or WWE(their rival wrestling componies)

05% 5 year olds that some got on there and see people talking about how its scripted and then trying to convince everbody wrestling is real

10% guys who join that try to tell everbody about how fake and gay wrestling is

20% women's wrestling fanboys who are perverts( and there some girls that do this with the males)

10% people for some reason call everbody a troll

05% people that try to be funny by posting fake news, broken links, stupid pictures, and spam the place

05% models that adverdise them selfs on there(actually I didn't really mind that, but there a no nude rule there)

05% wrestlers that have profiles there but never use them

05% People that make irrevelent topics on the wrong boards

05% Actually decent members

Aw man, you had to bring that up.  But thank you for sticking up for me though. 

For the record, I don't hate the KLA, I still LOVE the artwork there, I just didn't like who was there [at the time].

I don't even remember my name there, it's been so damn long.   I don't even remember my AL account name.

There is an idea of forum idiots based on size. The idea is that small groups are close knit enough that when someone acts like a knob they get cast out quickly.

Yeah, but the problem is that I've seen some people were unfairly kicked out of those kind of forums.  The reason why, according to the staff and their inner circle, golden children members, was that those unfairly banned members "acted like a knobs", when they clearly weren't.  Just because someone disagrees with you and says so, in a polite/civil/diplomatic manner, that doesn't make them a knob, but according to the staff and their inner circle, golden children members it apparently did [in their eyes].

I left those sites out of disgust.  Sometimes those members from those sites email me to come back, and make a new account but I won't.

I've given it some thought, and I no longer think having this thread around is a wise idea.

We should be above bad-mouthing other sites.

Yeah, I did it too, but I'm redacting it. I'm not proud of that.
