one of them would have to be Russai's Mil-Mi-24/35 Hind Gunship the "krokodil"

The Hind was a pretty fearsome vehicle, I'll say that much.

Yeah, THOSE ARE BOMBS!

Not quite. Those are IR flares, fired off to spoil the tracking of any heat-seeking missiles, especially Stingers and SA-7s.

The part of the -130 that scares me the most is the 105mm howitzer. Holy man, I wouldn't want that thing pointing at me. It's like reverse-AAA!

That thing would turn you into red mist if you were hit by it.

Those arent bombs in the vid. They're countermeasure flares. A bomb doesnt leave with a dissapating fire trail.

I also love Up-armored Humvees and Stryker IFV's with those...ballistic cages (im not sure what those cages are called, so i just call them ballistic cages becasue it protects the vehilce from explosives for a while), i love ALL their variants!

Not sure what variant of the C-130 Hercules it was, but it was known as "Puff the Magic Dragon," and instead of the variants of arms in the side of it, it had all 7.62x51mm NATO miniguns, which when used, put one round per square inch in the target area, but they stopped using it in this set-up because it was considered too "inhumane." Don't know how it could be any less humane though, because anything hit by it would die almost instantly. The second you show me anything that can take 7.62x51mm NATO rounds at one per square inch and still be alive is the second you look over and I've already run a good half mile, because you do not mess with who/whatever that is.

Also, any of the German tanks from World War II after the Panzerkampfwagen 1&2.

I'm pretty sure that "Puff" was the common nickname for the AC-47 gunship in Vietnam, which was a C-47, IE Douglas DC-3, with three miniguns mounted on the side. And yes, it could put down a round per square inch. On it's first deployments, the NVA thought it was actually a dragon, because they couldn't see the plane in the dark, and the line of tracer from the sky looked like a tongue of fire, combined with the deep moan of the guns which could have been the dragon's roar. That's one scary plane.

(there's an MC-130 with Fulton Skyhook forks on the nose in the background- Google that!)

Might be that thing, then. All I know is it was a large plane with 3 miniguns that was known as Puff the Magic Dragon, and was discontinued in use due to the "inhumane" thing. I'm more knowledgeable on man-portable weapons than vehicles. Never been a big vehicle man.

I am fond of the Soviet RT-23. To the uninformed eye, it looks like three railway passenger cars. But when called upon, it opens up an launches a freakin' SS-24 Scalpel nuclear ICBM.

Armored trains are just badass in general.

cool, i just looked it up; its grat, but i only see one problem: not every battlefield has traintracks (unless you are defending). otherwise, cool choice!

Dude, it's an ICBM. You don't need to be anywhere near the enemy.

The Germans went crazy with railroad-based weaponry in WWII. Gustav and Dora are arguably the largest pieces of railway rolling stock ever built. They are big-ass cannons mounted on double articulated railcars. These guns required double-track, which meant there wasn't too many places they could go. That said, Dora actually saw action. She shelled Stalingrad with 800mm (that's NOT a typo) shells. That's twice the size of the shell that comes out of the main cannons on an Iowa-class battleship.

yeah i know, but isnt there technology that can hsoot that down, or blow it up in mid-air?

Supposedly. But these technologies have a less than 25% success rate....

BTW, I found video of the Gustav railway gun:

One thing you have to give Hitler credit for: He came up with some bad-ass, albeit impractical, weapon ideas. Hitler wanted big-ass rail guns, and he got these monsters.

i already know what the Gustav can do; ive seen pictures of it, big ass railway gun system with big howizer capable of leveling even the most hardest of bunkers; i know what railway guns can do, dont think ive studied WW2's German army!

On a side note: Being impractical has no effect on something being badass. Why do you think Mechs (as in MechWarrior/BattleTech) are so popular? They are completely badass, despite the minor detail that the excess complexity of a walking machine makes it totally impractical compared to wheeled/tracked vehicles and aerial gunships to deliver the same firepower.

Sea- USS Kitty Hawk-class Aircraft Carrier and Destroyer. I've been on a simulated one (a building made like the inside of a DDG)

Air- Either the B3 Spirit, or the A-10 Warthog

The most badass fighter jet to ever exist.  even though its been decommissioned, the F14 still reigns over the skies in my opinion.
