That's no excuse for being a d-bag. If you think something's wrong, tell us. Remember, that's why we're here?

I think d-bag was a harsh word, but sometimes Real Life emotions do transfer into posts.  Remember the human brain has many ways to vent emotion and feeling.

Besides sometimes it is tough to understand what a person really meant by text. What is said or written usually always has a tendency to be misunderstood.  Sh|t happens,

aside from that he at least apologized and calling him a d-bag really did not help the situation  :| That is just my opinion though.......

:ontopic: Another game i did not like was America's Army 3 when it was first released. Just too buggy

Agreed on both of those.

New entry: Battlestar Galactica 2007.  I hadn't read the reviews for this game when I bought it, but I wish I had.  All the maps are debris-filled asteroid fields, that have a set visible boudary (can't leave the sandbox!),  all the fighters feel the same, and that's just for starters.  You need mana to launch, change direction, or even do a barrel roll.  And let's not forget the fact that you couldn't move up or down.  Yeah, the playing area was 2-Dimensional.  And they didn't even get any of the actors from the series to provide voices!  That game made me wish I knew where my copy of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was, just so I could play a real space flight simulator.

Ninja Gaiden

Julius, this is the one of the few times I'd disagree with you.  Sure, Ninja Gaiden is hard, and frustrating, but it's damn fun in the process .  AVGN's review was a masterpiece though :)

One game series that I never could seem to get into though, is The Legend of Zelda.  *Dodges debris and tomatoes*.  For some reason, I just never had the patience to sit through one of the games.  (Or it may be the fact that I only own and have only played 1 and 2 on NES)

Eh, don't worry about it.

I definitely hate Kirby's Golf.  The music is irritating.  I also hate Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3.  They had some cool music, levels, and graphics, but DKC 2 is only one player, and the plot sucks, and DKC 3 has a crappier plot, and just....ugh...

Speaking of Donkey Kong, I also hate "Donkey Konga".  The bongo drums...yeesh...

Don't care for "Balloon Kid" either.

Castlevania for PS2 is bad, IMO.  I couldn't find the way into the levels beyond the castle courtyard.

Transformers: The game

(Game to the 1st Michael Bay movie)

The only good Transformers game PERIOD is Transformers: War for Cybertron.  It stays true to the eighties cartoon, while throwing in more than impressive visuals, and INCREDIBLE third-person-shooter/driving/flying gameplay :)

Come to think of it, most movie-licensed games over the decades have sucked pretty badly *coughETonthe2600cough*.

Beetlejuice, for the NES.  Damn you LJN!  Laughing Joking Numbnuts!

They're the monsters who made Friday the 13th and A nightmare on Elm street into games!

Not all movie games are bad, X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a decent hack and slash, and I enjoyed Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem for the PSP much better than I enjoyed the actual movie.

But most movie games do suck, but that's mostly due to them being spit out quickly to coincide with the movie's release, where people will buy it just due to the title rather than the actual game play. Games that are based on movies but come out much later tend to be better. JAWS Unleashed, while getting poor  reviews, is a good time-killer. Can kill an hour or two just swimming around eating people, destroying boats, eating animals, etc etc. The nickname "Grand Theft Shark" it earned was well deserved, and quite fitting.

Hmm. For that stuff, I prefer sydney shark.

Vin Desiel is a gamer, and made his own game company to avoid crappy riddick games being made, and it's working. The games get above average reviews and the first one is apparently a classic.
