Guess who's back!

Hey guys, remember me? It's you friendly neighborhood fox who has been through eight weeks of hell! I graduated boot camp yesterday, but I will still remain at Recruit Training Command until Wednesday. This weekend we are allowed liberty, so we can go off base and whatnot and do whatever we want within certain restrictions (such as not doing anything stupid)

Unfortunately, it appears that no one is on right now. I hope to catch at least someone in the next 25 minutes (I'm paying for internet right now, heh). I'll be back on later probably and definitely tomorrow as well. After that, I don't know when I'll be on next.

For my "A" school, I'll be going to Groton, Connecticut. Anyone live near there? I have no idea what it is like there. It would be nice to get a little insight on it.

Well, that's all I have to say right now. I'm open to post some of my experiences, but I don't want to list them all here. I'll take requests like what the first day was like and whatnot.

Hopefully talk to you guys later and peace!

~Fox

I was wondering you'd get back. Alot had gone on both source and sitewise, Rping here is pretty much dead though...

I'll give you an update on the gmod content in a few after i get some links. Good to see you finally come home old friend.

Ah, well I'll be able to get on the internet whenever I want until Sunday at least. After that it may be a while again (I don't know about the internet policy at "A" school), but hopefully not another eight weeks. It's funny. I'm paying $9 an hour to be on here. Hoo Yah.

I've been thinking about you guys all though out the eight weeks I spent a a recruit. I have been eagerly awaiting this day. It's good to talk to everyone again.

I wish!

Having my laptop here is contrabanned (or however you spell it). I will most likely be able to use it at my "A" school, but right now, I'm still technically at boot camp until I leave on Wednesday. Yes, this means that I will be yelled at and such the same way it has been for the past eight weeks.

Right now, I'm using a computer terminal at the RTC (Recruit Trainning Command) Navy Exchange.

I see...

Then maybe i should hold off on the links for now, its just been having alot of casuality's revolving user mangement and I'm few on hands... (really just me and 2 other admins over the past week.)

Shame about the wait though, honestly i'd never be able to handle that kind of stress....

Wish I could help.

Problem is, is that Garry's Mod and Steam is not in this terminal I am playing. Once I get my laptop at "A" school during liberty, I'll see what I can do.

So what did I miss on this site since I've been gone? I got a certain message soon after I lost access to a computer involving a certain user being a *insert profanity here*. What other major events happened?

Welcome to the Fleet, Sailor!

Wait.. are you a seaman, fireman, airman, or constructionman?

Dude, it's been a while since I have heard from you!

I'm still a Seaman Recruit (judging by my title), but it is actually SEAMAN recruit. My rating is SECF (Submarine Electronic and Computer Field), but I don't know exactly what I am doing yet. I'm going to Groton, CT, I know that much.

Submarines?! Nice! Every sailor I've met on my deployments always mentioned how they wanted to be submarine crews. The pay for being in one is incredible! Hazardous pay, deployment pay, I think they also mentioned under water pay?! so many pays that go along your basic pay.

I don't know anything else other than the stuff sailors tell me. I am a Marine, not a Sailor.

Funny story on how that came to be...

At first I was supposed to be AV-ST (Avation electronics, basically), but I wanted to go to boot camp earlier (January in the Chicago area? No thanks!). My recruiter called me and asked if I wanted to go SECF or MT (Missile tech) and leave at the end of August. I took it, naturally and now I am here. Done. And. Over. With.

Well...

Anything in particular you want to know that comes from the knowledgebase of a freshly graduated Sailor? I can tell about pretty much anything (without TOO much detail I'm assuming) but Battlestations.

OPSEC! If I could find the "In the Service" thread I could avoid posting that long speech again about what NOT to post when it comes to your Military Service.

You know, the whole class they teach you about Operational Security.

Well, I know the obvious stuff about what not to post, such as what goes on during Battlestations, RDC's names maybe, and that sort of thing.

Thanks! It's good to be back. I just wish I could put up a pictue of me in one of my uniforms. But, obviously I don't have a camera with me at the moment...

Right now I'm sitting in the Navy Service Uniform and my rain coat on over it. It was the uniform of the day this morning, and I have been in an MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) building and I haven't taken it off since. :P

That's cool.

Just keep doin' what you're doing, keep your head in the game, and Welcome to Uncle Sam's Family, bro-in-arms! Ooh-Rah and Semper Fi!

Hoo-Yah and smooth sailing to you.

Well, having blown about $15 on the Internet already, I need to get off for now before I get too carried away. I may be on later tonight but most definitely tomorrow unless something crazy happens. See you all and peace. I'll be able to get on for free not too long from now..

Oh if I could, I would be on a lot more often, obviously. Unfortunately, they don't let you get on the computer every day, you know.
