Sabre
If someone has an accident that breaks something of yours (or vise versa) should the person be expected to pay for a replacement. Would the price matter? (a car vs a pen for example) Would extreme stupidy/neglect? (eg. if they were texting while driving) We all make mistakes, but who pays the bill? Sarita
Price definitely matters. I would be super pissed if someone hit my car and expected me to pay for it. If someone breaks my pen? Not such a big deal, because you can get a pack of 20 for a dollar.
Guest Julius Quasar
Yes. It's the principle of the thing. You break something of someone's, you are responsible for fixing or paying for it, regardless of what it was or what it costs.Sadly, fewer and fewer own up to their responsibilities nowadays. Just look at the insurance companies, Congress, and Wall Street. xD

Vulvokunvrii
it depends what it is. other wise i probably should have said yes. ^_^
FoxMcCloud
I agree with Julius, it all comes down to the morality of the situation. If you broke something, and your at fault for the car accident . Whats the point of arguing that you didn't break it, when you were the one at fault in the first place? You break it, you buy it so to speak
TheRedFox8
With me, it depends on the object and it's value to me. If someone broke one of my pens, sure I would be a little upset, but I would let it go quickly. It won't hurt a friendship or anything. If it happened to be a cheap item of great value to me (such as my fox plushie) then I would demand a replacement and even then I would pretty do what I do best to people I don't like: ignore them. 'Course it depends on if that was an accident or not. If it was an expensive item, then yes, I would demand repayment or replacement or something like that.
