Well, I used to have pictures of Faux Pas, and plan on going back to some soon, so that showed my love for it.

Then I had lots of Ryan, showing my love for that wolfy. =3 But I soon ran out of those.

And now my avatar is a picture I drew. Creative arts [such as drawing, writing stories and poems and such]is how I am able to relieve my stress and anger well, so when I look at it, it calms me and makes me a bit happier. So it means a lot. =]

I like a lot of your avatars, their cool. And I think the pic you drew is really good. :)

My new avatar has of course a fox and a dragon, a la my username. It also has a mysterious aura around it, which is a bonus in my book. I think I'll keep this one for awhile!

Mine represents my "recent" (as recent as June) interest in Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Finished watching the series around late August or early September; it was a cloudy day with soft rain from what I remember (calming, I know <3). I enjoyed the series from beginning to end. Currently, I am trying to watch other titles in the Macross series. That and along with the "Super Dimension" series from the 80s: Southern Cross and Orguss.

The character in the avatar is named Hikaru Ichijo, for those wondering.

Kind of. The SDF Macross series, along with other two anime shows (Southern Cross and Mospeda), was bundled into what everyone knows as Robotech. Harmony Gold, the guys who own the rights to Robotech, edited the two series so it would fit in the Macross universe. They also edited some of the characters names like Max Sterlin, instead of Max Jenius, and Rick Hunter, instead of Hikaru Ichijo. Characters' names, like Claudia, Roy Fokker, etc, were left alone. The reason why Harmony Gold had chosen to do this wasn't because they wanted to, the requirements for a TV series was to have more than 84 episodes (not exactly sure). Macross only had 36 episodes, so they had to do something about it. But then again, there was another similar show where they showed five mecha/super robot shows and yet those went edited to become one full story (form the information I gathered).

tl;dr: Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeda became Robotech 'cause of TV standards back then.

But yes, you are correct.

not exactly, i was refering to people in general. if you have experianced, done or enjoyed something form a long time ago that you loved, and locked it away making way for something new, it can still be there and not completly forgotten. i have many things i ve "locked away" that are slowly resurfacing, and so far, i welcome it!

Oh. Well it was that since Macross is considered "old" (1982), I thought you were referring to me. Also, just in case you thought I had watched the series before, "...My "recent" interest in Super Dimension Fortress Macross." In other words it was my first time watching it, and I enjoyed every part of it (except for some of the fillers, but there are only two episodes of that stuff: Phantasm and some other title).

Anyhow, you are correct about how people rediscover things they've "locked" up long ago. For example, a person who had stored his stuff (magazines, model kits, manga, etc) from 10-13 years ago might rediscover it in an old closet/basement/cellar in his old house. All of that emotion felt when discovering items which the owner had thought he either lost or sold long ago: nostalgia, happiness, bitter-sweet, etc. Which reminds me, I'll have to go over all of my Gamepro magazines I've collected since 2004. Should be fun looking over and chuckling over past issues covering games people couldn't wait for (Metal Gear Solid 3, MGS4, Halo 3, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, etc) while having other personal memories no one will give two shits about.
