Samantha Weltzin
The Starfox games are pretty similar to the Sonic games in this way. For both, the older games were when the franchises were hot, but then as the series went on, they started developing new and sometimes "out there" ideas. That disapoints many fans, but that doesn't exactly stop them. A lot of people play the games just because they have things that relate to past games, or to put it more specifically, many starfox fans play starfox games just because it has Starfox in it. Same goes for Sonic. I guess I'd have to put myself in that group of people. A very good observation, I think. *Nods.*
Guest Mr. Mario
I got to see a SF poll plus Fox too in the Star Power section, however though...how would you make a Starfox game multiplayer? Are we talking MMO? What?
Dublinthefox
Yeah. I just said that. Where have you been? Not paying attention to the forums that much I guess.

JLCL00
Actually, a remake of Starfox 64 shows that they -are- listening to the fans. This could be the start of a series reboot. So in other words, any event that happened after Star Fox 64 (e.g. meeting Krystal on planet filled with mystical dinosaurs, Apparoid invasion, Anglar Empire, Fox forcing Krystal to leave, etc) would be non-existent?Oh wait, I think I just answered my own question. As for the whole "Nintendo Power" articles about Star Fox, do they talk about anything interesting or are they just some chronological history thing? Robert Monroe
So starfox sucks? This is news to me. So Robert if starfox sucks so much why are you still here? When the games since 2002 have been:-A badly written poor Zelda wannabe-A badly written clunky generic 3rd person shooter-A badly written Stylus-only flight game with a time limitYes, the series sucks. Each new installment has tried to add more and more crap without focusing on what made the old so good. Variety is not a bad thing to be sure, but when you sacrifice the core of the games to keep adding on shinies, you get nothing good. And I am here because I desire one day for what was once my favorite Nintendo franchise to shine again with the luster of a thousand bars of gold in the sun. Unlikely to be sure, but that is why. I may hate where the franchise has gone, but I still love the old games and am dedicated to them. And to troll fantards. Fire Yoshi
A very good observation, I think. *Nods.*Thanks again, "I think." Krystal isn't why SFAdv was bad.It was because it was a bad Zelda clone. It's sad that many fans use her as the sole excuse for why the game was "bad."Even the "Zelda clone" thing wasn't what was bad about it. It could have been a good game even if it did change format. True, it wouldn't have been a good flight simulator, but just because a game franchise changes format doesn't make it bad. Paper Mario is an example of that. What was bad about Adventures was that it was rushed and very little effort was put into anything but the graphics. The Paper Mario games sh*t all over the other Mario games, story wise imo. (that is, for the games that had a story worth calling a "story")As for the whole "Nintendo Power" articles about Star Fox, do they talk about anything interesting or are they just some chronological history thing? That reminds me of an article I read in a Game Informer magazine about SFC. The writer described Krystal as being a cat. The funny part was, he got fined for it. ...I think. I do know that the GI staff got into a sh*t-load of trouble. Or was he making an insult?Profact: Krystal was actually original a cat in Dinosaur Planet game for the N64.

JLCL00
I hate to leave you hanging guys, but get back on topic...>:CFollowing post relates to magazines, thus it's on-topic. :B (or some excuse like that)Besides, there really isn't much to say except "Oh cool, Star Fox is finally getting praise." or (preferably) "That's not praise, that's just 'getting mentioned'."EDIT: That's actually how I kind of view the "Star Fox in Nintendo Power" thing, btw; it isn't rally praise. It's just a voting option that happens to be in the SF series which got lucky and recived the most votes....or something of that sort. Also, the article could of just been some "History of..." special.
ultrasonic2
My guess is that it was mentioned on the NES SF game or SF 2, idk. That confused me too.*waits for a Robert Monro lesson*Yeah, it's confusing. BTW: Star Fox was on the SNES.
