I need to know (for some models I'm making) about how big do you think the Cornerian destroyers seen in the first mission of Assault are. I need the lenght and if possible the width, for comparison, the arwing in that game is (exactly) 30.50 ft long (without wings) 45.76 ft long (with wings in normal position) and 22.16 ft tall. Also, could those even be counted as destroyers? Considering how few weapons they have and the ease at which you can destroy enemy ships of about the same size...

If I had to guess, the orbs of the battleships (what the game calls them) in Andrew's fleet and at Sargasso were about the same width as the Arwings. Going from there, I'd say the ships themselves were between three and four times as long as an Arwing.

EDIT: Whoops, wrong ship. The Cornerian ships looked slightly smaller than the battleships. I'd estimate two Arwing-spans in width by 2.5-3 Arwings in length by two ships high. Sound about right?

Well, lets find out, assuming for length and width you included the wings, that would give the battleships the following dimensions:

Length: 137.28

Height: 44.32

Width: 103.24

And I've made a box set to that size to compare to the Arwing:

My problems with this are

A) It's too wide for it's Length

B) I cant remember but I'm pretty sure that in game its Taller than it is wide

C) It is about 1/3 the size (height anyway) of my dwarfe Greatfox model which is about 1/4 the size of the real thing (I know this because the dwarf models hanger is only wide enough for one Arwing to leave at a time and the real thing can launch all 4) Then again we dont really get to see both types of ship at the same time so I dont know how big they are in relation to each other.

D'oh. Maybe they are narrower, but the ships were kinda spindly with a lot of open space, IIRC. The nose, in particular, is pretty narrow. Flip the box on its side, make it 1.75 wingspans, then see what it's like.

Mind you, this is from memory. I don't have the game on-hand to check.

Longer and smaller, I'd say. By how much? Eh...you be the judge. I've been pretty far off lately. x_x
