Guest Mr. Mario
A announcement was made on October 29th on a blog post titled "Sayonara" that Keiji Inafune was resigning from Capcom as his position of head of Research & Development and Online Business and Global Head of Production "In order to start his life over", he seemed pretty tired with the company plus the industry. Keiji Inafune is best known as the creator and character designer for Megaman, Producer of the Dead Rising games and also Onimusha. This is what he said:“It would probably be good for me to sit gracefully in this seat and become a leading figure in the industry. However, I cannot do this. Settling down means death for a creator. As long as you are a creator, you cannot settle down…I love Capcom. Probably more than anyone in the world. However, it’s not always the case that your hopes are realized. Just as it was with the girlfriend I loved long ago.”Here is what he said about the Japanese gaming idustry:"I think Japanese gaming is dead. When I say these things, I’m called a traitor. But I love Japan. I want to save it. I look around T.G.S. (the Tokyo Game Show), and everyone’s making awful games. Japan is at least five years behind. It’s like we’re still making games for the last generation of game consoles.”Then he said about the game sales within Capcom:“I’m always so shocked when I see global sales rankings, I think: Wow, Capcom’s ranked so low. However you approach it, we’re dead. Resident Evil sold 5 million copies. That’s still no good.”I'm not so sure what is going to happen in the future with Capcom now that Inafune left...what's next? Shigeru Miyamoto leaves Nintendo? Possibly.

Geo Stelar
Oh, so it's another reason why there hasn't been any news on upcoming Capcom games recently.... so Megaman Starforce 4 might not come to life as many people expected.......Wait..What???He's Leaving????NOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The thing he said about japan game industry? that they are still behind? I would have suggested for them to widen their imagination, work together to make a brand new game fans won't forget for many years. Japan being behind 5 years doesn't mean they'll stay that way.Even if Capcom's rank is low, they should not mind that very much and continue making good games. Then they should at least try a new style of gameplay then evolve it into something bigger and better.
JLCL00
I've read something about how Keiji was fed up with the video game industry in Japan in another forum so it's kind of not suprising to hear that he quit. The only thing I'm wondering is what he's going to do now. Is he going to start working for another company? Is he going to quit the industry all together? Or is he going to create his own company?

Is he going to quit the industry all together? Or is he going to create his own company? My guess is that I don't think he'll work for another company or heck even create one but...to me if he were to work for a new company, he'd be best at Platinum games or some other 3rd party company. I have high doubts that he'll make his own company.
