Noone good seemed to win. Everywhere it was Tea Party loonies, two-faced democrats, and still no legal pot.

And voter turnout was God-awful too. What a shame.

Don't you think you could have at least waited until the night was over and all the results were in before jumping the gun here Robert? :P

More or less but not completely.  Personally, I don't like giving thoughts on elections until I see a summary of ALL the results, otherwise it would be premature.

You sound disappointed, care to elaborate in more detail?

I only kept tabs on North Carolina (my own state) and Wisconsin (because of Tardious, we share a lot of infobetween us), but basically the same thing happened to both of us:

The Populist assholes who were in charge are still in charge. Macintyre is still in office for NC, and Feingold didn't win in WI. The Voter Surpression that was going on kept going right until election day, and there's word in my area anyway of rigged machines.

Add that to the fact this midterm was by far one of the most undermining, barbaric, ad homimnem filled ad campaign's I can remember (they make the 2008 president race look tame just about), and we still have no legalized pot, yeah.

It was also the most expensive mid-term campaign to date ($3.5 billion I think it was).  Even if Prop 19 passed in California the Feds have made it clear that they would still charge people because under Federal Law pot is illegal for recreational use.  Right now, it's a huge defeat for the advocates in California to legalize it, their strategy of getting over 9,000,000,000 university/college students to vote in favor of this proposition wasn't enough.

Experts are saying anyways that a federal campaign to legalize the drug is still a very long time away. :/
