Sabre
Had to be done.I wear boots alot, so I like thick poofy socks to prevent blisters and stop my feet getting smelly. I have big feet (and you know what means ladies. ) and thus it's hard to get good socks. I have been on the look out for long socks. My current socks don't fill the full boot so I want talk socks for that reason.Sometimes I wear socks inside out so that the ridge along the toe doesn't dig into the skin. ThePointingMan
The rubber soled sandels a guy I know called them "Nike Air Jerusalems"Hehe So, I just realised I never mentioned what kinda socks I wear, whicht I think is pretty important to mention when discussing socks. I wear some grey socks, pretty long, and I always have them pulled up to high, but thats ok cause I never wear shorts, so no one sees how far my socks are pulled up. I've never actually chosen my own socks, but I have to say, if I where to care enough about what socks I wear to pick for myself, I would pick the socks I am currently wearing, they look nice, are fully functional, and are quite comfortable. Sarita
:D I like silly toe socks. Since I only wear them with boots anyways, I have a good excuse to wear the cute stuff under my pants. It's kinda pointless aesthetically, but it makes me happy.I wear flats the rest of the time, with no socks.
ThePointingMan
I can't stand the feeling of a layer of fabric being between my toes, just thinking aboot it makes me cringe, like chalk on a chalkboard...

Are you dressing cute underneath to compensate for a butch exterior? As someone who takes the "No one is going to see them so why bother" aproach, I'm currious.I assume flats are a kind of shoe, not a single floor home? (unless your godzilla) On a related note, saying pant's made me think underwear for a moment before I realsied you meant trousers.Hehe I've never actually chosen my own socks, but I have to say, if I where to care enough about what socks I wear to pick for myself, I would pick the socks I am currently wearing, they look nice, are fully functional, and are quite comfortable.Me pretty much. They are basic, but work, and that's enough for me.

I wore socks with penguins on them the other day. In addition to being warm, they helped me feel like I could still be "childish" cute, and no one would make fun of me. The Shaper
I wear socks a lot. I don't like the feeling of the ground beneath my feet, especially if there is insects there.

Vy'drach
Have a friend known as Raver Sarah, or "Toy Monster" (is her rave name), who can not stand to wear matching socks. She's just *waves hands in front of face* different, I guess.Anyway, I also wear boots usually, a pair of Harley Davidson boots, and my socks are long enough to fill them, as my socks go half-way up my calves, but the problem is they have a habit of sliding down, and then any slack in em gets under my soles as rolls in the fabric, which drives me insane, so I have to occasionally take my boots off and pull them back up. Been meaning to get a pair of those sock suspenders (not sure what they're actually called). As for what type I have, just run of the mill white with gray sole socks, I believe they're either Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. Redeemer
Oh man, you actually made this topic. I love socks but I wear them so much they tend to get holes in the toes. I bought some more out of Primark yesterday which is a nice change - the ones I was wearing were full of holes. I go through socks like a hot knife through butter. :? Asper Sarnoff
After going into the military, I've started to too wear the army's thick, wool socks, inside my army boots, both when in service and elsewhere. Most comfortable things to walk in I've ever tried.

Winter Sports socks are great down here in Texas in the summer when the temperature is about 110F and the humidity is high enough that trees sweat. They make your shoes smell really nice after a long day outside. :troll:
