Those who do know the difference know that followers of Multiculturalism and followers of Diversity do not get along, so leave your guns out-side if you don't want to get reported. K?

For those who do not know the difference;

Diversity tries to end conflict by breaking down barriers and understand people's differences.

Multiculturalism tries to end conflict by building up these barriers and treat everyone as the same. (Non political communism if you will)

There is a lot more I can say about Multiculturalism but as I said, leave guns out-side.

PS: You can't have both because they're polar opposites. Also if you're multiculturalist then don't bother saying that this poll offends you because WE ALREADY KNOW!

I'm more of a multicultural person, all humans are the same the only actual difference is our opinions otherwise we're still living things with a higher intelligence level then animals.

This is a loaded question. There is no debate, no discussion, no opinions. It's dogmatism. You might as well have "Agree with me! The Thread!"

I'm asking for this to be locked and/or deleted.

While I agree that this topic has the potential to end up being a fire trap I'm willing to give it one chance, however I will be moving this topic to the Pub because, while it isn't directly political, religious, or philosophical in nature it does deal with a sensitive subject that not all SF-O members might not want to see get debated since everyone can see it.

I would have to say Diversity. Personally, I am not bothered by other people due to ethnicity. In fact, (I know this is going to sound cliche) I think people should celebrate there differences. There is a lot that people can learn about each other's cultures and way of life. Not to say that people should force each others lifestyles on each other, but maybe there wouldn't be people who feel "threatened" by this idea if they would be more willing to open up there ears and just listen to what other people have to say or even there viewpoints before judging them.

Wouldn't this be the same with religion? , I mean, you were talking about not being with a girl you like because of  religion, and understanding the other side of the coin would perfectly fit with your statement, don't you agree?

Well, if you want to round it all out together than yeah. I don't care about what religion someone else follows either. The only reason I brought that up to begin with was because it was the only thing that could cause any problems between us.

Ok, you are well aware of the differences between Judaism and Christianity as you stated before in the other thread. To begin with, imagine how her parents would feel if they found out that she was talking to someone from school a lot. Once they find that this person follows Christianity....

I mean, technically, Jews are credited with the whole "Crusifiction of JC" thing. Now, from my point of view, the worst thing I could do is bring up any religious conversation to avoid an arguement...or just awkwardness....

I know for a fact that regardless of what my parents would say to me about the situation, its all lies to not have to tell me what I don't want to hear to my face....I wish they would do that more often to be honest...

She's one of those girls, you know...You realize that they don't mean any harm. She respects everyone, and she never disrespects anything people believe or say. Plus, she's educated, I mean, very educated. And mature. Great sence of humor. Just the right amount of sarcasm, not too blunt...and very creative. Everything I like to see in a girl...no....a woman.

... So you're just assuming a bunch of stuff about people you don't know that may or may not be true?

You do know that you're in a relationship with her, not her parents, right?

I'm only making the assumtion that her parents would want her to be in a relationship with a Jewish boy. I do not know where they stand on that matter. I am making the assumption that they feel strongly about how they picture there daughter 10-15 years down the road, and that who she spends her life with is part of that picture they see.

Maybe you should find out first before you give up?

Maybe they're making the same assumption that someone else made in the Love Life topic and don't expect you to marry, therefore, don't care? Really, you know what they say about people who assume. You make an ass out of u and me :) ass-u-me.

Diversity. Multiculturalsm is too niceywicey. Diversity is just a buncha people from different slices of the world being forced to coexist, and how they go about it is up to them. Multiculturalism requires acceptance and harmony of cultures, which is baloney.
