I would definetly have to say post-rock.

God is an Astronaut, Explosions in the Sky, 65daysofstatic, etc.

I don't get all the rap and country hate, I mean I'm not too into those genres myself, but they both have some good stuff if you bother to look.

There are exceptions, but it's rare that any amount of talent is involved with 'em. Rapping is, basically, just rhyming to a beat and saying that you know what the "real world" is like despite also being in a world of your own making; and country is most often just whining or complaining to nearly exactly the same tune every single song.

That said, metal as a whole suffers from the "It all sounds the same" ailment as well. I just happen to like how that sounds, is all.

My music dates back to 1930 - 1989

Blues

Rock

Hard Rock

Grunge

Metal (All types except Black metal. Look it up)

Dance (Scatman)

Vocals (Frank Sinatra)

Alternative.

The only musical group I like that has a tiny bit of rap in a few of their songs is the Gorillaz. Mainly because I can understand it, and it follows along with the song itself. Not just beat.

Rap: Always has something about "Mah biatches gettin it on" or something similar.

Country: Lack of talent and repetitive lyrics.

There's not a lot of genres to hate I think. However, I take my music as follows, "Music is like candy, you throw away all the rappers." This excludes hand-picked Pop (ain't ALL bad) and video games.

And well, I don't like black metal all that much either but it's bearable. My most favorites is classic rock and ,if it counts, video game soundtracks. Like the  Persona and Sonic series soundtracks? Amazing!

Not to mention a lot of the singers sound the same. :/  The guys sound like most of the other guys, and the girls...you get the point.  Not to mention it's very depressing music.  Country music is the symbol that tells us that our country is still in deep sh*t, and as long as it exists, there shall be no world peace. :P

Anyone out there who thinks pop must die, say "Aye." Or just reply with something.
